Trés bien, merci! How about you? We've all been sitting on the edge of our seats waiting for your return. ^_^
Hey, Blues, vote for me in the random chatter bar. Saria's totally stacked the guild with all her friends and the they're skewing the vote from what should be the obvious conclusion.

Aw just making sure. That Saria is a sneaky one and has no respect for the mechanisms of democracy, what with her rigging the vote and all.
Hey, nothing bad's been happening with you hm? I just figured you were enjoying your summer.

Excuse me? I'm messing with the mechanisms of democracy? You've got voting instructions written down on the freaking ballot!

Okay, here we go, I hate introducing myself xd Well, my name is Hanna and I'm from Sweden. I'm pretty glad we don't talk to eachother because I don't really like the way my name sounds when people say it in English, because it's not my name! A bit of trivia there. My basic statement is, if you want to know anything about me, ask! (This is my way of saying "I love PMs please send me one!") I am very glad to be in this guild and I'll try to be active 3nodding That's it I guess... I am very bad at endings xd

Hi! I'm Candice. I'm a 17 year old Pagan from Barrie, Ontario. Soon, though, my boyfriend and I will be moving back to Toronto, somewhere... I dunno. XD We haven't decided. My hobbies and interests are as follows: Wearing Gothic Lolita clothing, Making Gothic Lolita Clothing, Designing Gothic Lolita clothing, sewing in general, designing things in general, making maps for my stories, writing my novels, doing building plans for my stories, creating characters to impede my main character, cooking, making recipes, going to my boyfriends, and a lot of other things I don't have the energy to type. I have a slew of characters I could RP, but I want to know if I can play a male character in any RP? This being a Yuri Guild, I would think no, but you can't have an RP world thats completely male-free... There has to be a guy somewhere. @_@

Wow, you guys are all such interesting people. 3nodding My life is so boring in comparison. sweatdrop
Welcome to the guild Hanna, Candice and Ai-chan (Baby girl wink )! heart Let me see if I can answer a few of your questions here....
First, how should we pronounce your name, Hanna? I'm just curious. whee
What is Gothic Lolita clothing, Candice? Is it like the dolls you have in your signature? Also, you're free to play a male character if you like. It's your guild as much as mine, make yourself at home! heart I don't necessarily agree that you can't have an RP that's completely male-free; that's pretty easy to do if you make an all-girls school or an all-girls cruise or even something like the woman's wing of a hospital or mental or correctional institution. Or like what Pfreak did in her RP, create an island paradise then send invitations only to girls. Of course, that's just getting started - you could get imaginative, too.
I just think that playing a male character in a yuri roleplay is no fun (as Anna put it, that would be like being a eunuch at an orgy - she has a way with words stare ), but that's just my opinion; do as you like! You could make two characters even, one male, one female, to get the best of both worlds. I've found in most of the yuri RP's I've done, the male characters are played as secondary characters by people (like Pfreak's forgetful boss in her RP).
Also I'm curious by what you mean by Pagan. I thought Paganism was just a general term, like Monotheism or Polytheism, not a specific belief.

Oh Saria... [laughs] Ok, lets start with your first question: Gothic Lolita clothing is just a small faction of the Lolita fashion culture. Yes, its like those little dolls in my sig. Its also like all the outfits in this photobucket account. The www under my sig leads to a Lolita Message Board, which I created, and the girls and guys there can tell you more about it as anything from a clique to a way of life. It all depends on the person. ^^
To me, an RP like an Island Paradise for girls only is a little ridiculous. However, even in an women's wing of a hospital, there would still be male doctors at one point or another. Most gynacologists(sp?) are male, and indeed, a lot of doctors in general are guys. Even in all womens jails, there's at least one male on the staff. Be he in the kitchen staff, or otherwise. So, heh, there are men everywhere.
But it depends on if your guy is interested in women or not. If you have a homosexual male who's friends with women, and acts like a woman anyways, it's a lot of fun. Most of my characters are Bi anyways, so they would like both men and women, regardless. To be honest, I myself am Pansexual, meaning I can love anyone, regardless of gender, if they're androgynous, how they look, if they crossdress, ect. as long as they never lie to me. My current boyfriend is a crossdresser, actually. ^^ He's wonderful.
And by Pagan, I mean I follow a conglomeration of all the Pagan practices. Eclectic Pagan, meaning I throw everything together in a way thats perfect for myself. [shrugs] Pagan can refer to a lot of belief's, but the people who follow those beliefs sometimes go as just Pagan's, instead of something like Kemetic or Norse. Its so much easier to say Pagan, or Kemetic Pagan, than it is to simply go by the Pantheon that you follow. (Kemetic is Egyptian, and Norse is self explanitory.)

Winter Black However, even in an women's wing of a hospital, there would still be male doctors at one point or another. Most gynacologists(sp?) are male, and indeed, a lot of doctors in general are guys. Most engineers are guys, too. *cough*cough* ^_^ I think you suffer from a failing of imagination, cherie. I was actually invited to an all-girls cruise - I didn't go, but I heard the only guys seen on board were the captain and his staff, and they showed up for one event and were never seen otherwise - and I've seen several girls-only getaways over the years. I see a lot of guys-only getaways, too. Then there are things like convents, and of course, science fictional settings make it real easy - all guys have been killed off, or on this ship or station it is all girls because they handle close quarters better, and so on. Or you can just say that somehow a women's sports team or women's unit in some military gets cut off from the rest of the world. I agree that c'est unlikely that you can have a believable RP with all girls, but it's certainly not impossible. All it requires is a little bit of imagination to explain why there are no guys around.

I never said it wouldn't be possible. Its just, all my friends while I was growing up were male (girls never really liked to be around me that much... I don't know why... Maybe I was too masculine, for my small, girly body... I even, to this day, have shoulders as broad as some men's), so to me, a world where there are little to no guys present is very upsetting... I'd rather have a few guys around as friends, than have none around what-so-ever. And even on the cruise, there were males on the ship. True, you didn't see them, I'm sure they were very busy, and it was probably a large ship, to boot, but they were still there, none-the-less. The thing with me, however, is I'm completely unbiased to gender. As I've said, I can love anyone regardless of looks, gender, prefferences, ect., so long as I'm not lied to. I don't love men more than I love women, and vice-versa, and so I love to be surrounded by both at most times. (Of course, there are times where I don't want to be near anyone. ><;; ) But I'm sure, if the girls want it enough, yes, there is a such thing as a male-free enviornment. Though I'm not one who would jump on the "No Guys Allowed" bandwagon, for my own reasons. Its fine if you want it, but I like to have a male or two in my midst once in a while. Heh.

Eh, I like the companie of guys more than girls myself, but you can find guys in any roleplay or anywhere in Gaia. It's not like there's a shortage of them. And there are het/yaoi/yuri friendly roleplays that you can go do whatever you want. Basically there are tons of options for you if you want to play with guys or as a guy....... why a yuri roleplay? What's the point? And if a bunch of girls want to play with girls, why do they need a guy (real or roleplayed)? If they wanted to play with guys they would go to those other places in Gaia where there are guys. It's not like a guy (real or roleplayed) adds anything to the lesbian relationships being roleplayed - which, of course, are the point of a yuri roleplay.
A yuri roleplay doesn't need a guy in it. Ok, maybe it's not "realistic" or "probable", but what roleplay is? These are fantasies. Let the girls have their fantasies. And if the girl's fantasy is to play with guys, they can go to those pan-sexual roleplays. Why go to a yuri-only roleplay looking for guys, or expecting to see them anyway? That's like going to a gay bar looking to pick up chicks. A guy in a yuri roleplay is like a deep-sea diver in a desert roleplay - possible but pointless.
It's like you say, some girls want to be with just girls, and they should have a place - or a roleplay - to do so. A yuri roleplay seems like the natural place to be with other girls and only other girls, ne? Why is it unnatural for such a roleplay to be girls-only, especially when there are so many other options that include guys? Eh, but like Sa says, do as you please.
