"Of course I know, no more orphans, a silly joke, " she nodded and examined the new additions. They were cute not like the brown and blacks but cute, and just as darling as the other little hybrid babies.
"Sleep sister, I'll keep watch over you, and I'll scold that silly snake for leaving you in a time you needed him," she curled up beside her sister wide awake and watchful. This was the begining to a large part of their lives, she had a family...a very large family now and so did Mleli. If she ever wished that she could read minds it was now, Mleli had wrinkled her nose at them, did that mean she hated them? Or was it distaste for their colors? Mleli's thoughts were a mystery and the new aunt was not about to pry.
"What about names?" she said alittle too loudly, they'd forgotten names!

Mleli didn't have the desire or the words to form some sort of reply or thanks to her sister- not that she needed permission to sleep, but the agreement to keep watch and scold Kifuno were appreciated. She was about to drift off to rest when Ajali quite rudely interrupted her, demanding names- or that was how it seemed to the tired leopardess.
With a groan, Mleli opened her eyes and curved her neck around so she could remain resting comfortably but still see the cubs from where she was.
"Names," she grumbled, and then just started to list off some names that came to her mind, "Hiana, the brown one. Kafiri, the pink." Both names were a jab at their father and his godhood, which made Mleli appreciate the process a little more.
"Aeglaeca, the first," Mleli continued, sounding increasingly tired and taking a longer time between names now, "Matojo, the black and white boy.." So far, none of the names were very flattering and if she was allowed to continue the trend would certainly go on to the remaining cubs. The newly christened Matojo was the only one coming off lightly, but with the looks of him, it wasn't so surprising.

"Those are..l-lovely names, are you sure you wouldn't want some time to think them over? How about the white and tan's name is Duma, and the last Mezi," she wanted the cubs to at least have good names, and she found it amusing to name a leopard lion hybrid the word for cheetah, ahh she would get a good laugh later!
The harsh names were possibly just because Mleli was tired but Ajali sincerely doubted this, her sister was a bit angry at them and their father.
"Try to reconsider the names..?

Mleli had her mouth open to try to name the remaining two when Ajali spoke up and tried to get her to reconsidered the names she'd chosen. She shook her head in response to the question, and though she felt some desire to argue about the names for the cubs she decided this was enough talking about it. To end the discussion, she simply closed her eyes and allowed herself to drift off to sleep. Ajali's problems with the names could wait.
