An actual person Sex is not the direct cause of pregnancy. If sex caused pregnancy, then women would get pregnant whenever they had sex. My reaction: Thank goodness the majority doesn't think that. But when it comes to the most dumbest things I've heard in an abortion debate, I'd have to say that one.

If your pro-life, your automatically the enemy of women?
I actually had a few threaten to beat me on sight because I believed in what they said was the 'enslavement' of women. Militant much? Oh, and I found it funny a bunch of angry women wants to beat on me XD

When asked what is thedirect cause of pregnancy, the answer is almost always a direct dodge of the question.

I wonder what they think how women get pregnant then if sex isn't the direct cause? The anwear must be amusing.

Well, a sperm cell exits any man's pants, slithering menacingly along the ground and up the womans leg, in desperate effort to violate her bodily domain. But that's not really what the person meant when they said what they said, I bet if thet worded it differently it would have made sense. sweatdrop
This isn't related but wouldn't it be weird if sperm were as big as tadpoles are? http://aquanic.org/images/photos/ill-in/tadpole.jpg

What, did it just... swim across the floor, you were unsuspectant of it?" I edited it a little bit whee But what if it did happen, what if sperm suddenly evolved overnight and were really big? Except there weren't millions anymore, just two or three? xd

Well, I've had people say a fetus is like a sickness (ie. virus, bacteria, etc). They try to compare the two. O.o I don't see how? One is a mass of cells that forms very quickly into a living form, the other (sickness ie. any virus, bacteria, etc) is totally different. How can the two even be compared? On the mental side, maybe some pregnant women view it as such. Scientifically, they are nothing alike.

Actualy, it dosnt form from a mass of cells into a living form. That "mass of cells" is already a living form. It is human. It is human growth in action. It is dynamic and ever changing. We grow from conception, not from birth.

Yeah, by that logic no one should plays the slots in casinos. "Inserting a coin and pulling the lever is not the direct cause of winning money. If it did cause money to be won, then people would win money everytime they inserted a coin and pulled the lever."

Actually, I hear that one a lot.
My response- "What causes pregnancy, then?" Thier retort- "Sperm meeting egg" My response- "And how does sperm get to be in the same place as the egg, exactly" Them- *ka-subject-change* or "You're using an emotional appeal (somehow)! "
