[Thread Rp: Ereshkigal, Adako]
The Forsaken Knight.

Lady_Ourania
The little unicorn was perched precariously in the branches of a tree just outside the Sanctuary, tail wrapped tenaciously around the slim limb that she had decided on a spur of the moment impulse to ascend. She wondered at her decision now, recognizing the fact that she was much too far up to easily jump down and too frightened to climb back the way she had come.

Ereshkigal's little heart hammered as she considered her options, trying to keep a cool head as her guardian always instructed. She counted to ten, took a deep breath and waited.

No ideas arrived in a timely fashion and the panic immediately resurfaced. She'd read about terror like this, but never truly experienced it; the girl even knew how to remedy the cold feeling attacking her limbs, but couldn't seem to accomplish it in this moment. The female Teyco whimpered, adjusting her cramping legs and freezing when the branch creaked in a menacingly fashion.

Seraphina_Angel
Toddling along the branches of the trees just outside the snactuary he bounced from one limb to another in ahis cat like grace. Using his small claws he kept from skidding off and falling a few times until in one particular instance he leapt without looking and happened to see the small girl he was about to land on.

The worst part about it all had to be the gleaming horn protruding from her face that was about to impale the small cat boy.

"Gah!!! Look out!" he shouted as he descended towards her.

Lady_Ourania
Her head snapped in the direction of the warning cry, eyes perfectly round and horrified. She didn't dare move, knowing that doing so would result in falling with what would likely be a crunch to the ground below. She slammed her eyes shut, bracing herself and turning her face to the side so that her spiraling horn would do the boy no damage.

Seraphina_Angel
Twisting on a weird angle he managed to land behind her as well as in front of her some how. Maybe his cat blood wasn't so bad after all he thought as the only things that kept him from plummating to the ground was the sharp kitten claws he sported.

"Ummmm hi." he said from behind her and to the side as he did his best to straighten out from the strange angle he was on. Boy that had been close he thought as he eyed the huge horn on the forehead. Yeouch! That would have hurt.

Lady_Ourania
She was still waiting for the initial blow, eyes squeezed shut with her hands and tail wrapped so tightly around the tree branch that they were whitening and cramped.

At the voice, she peeked open one purple eyelid, surprised to find that the cat boy had managed to somehow not send them both spiraling downward. "... H-Hi." she greeted, trying to dredge up some small composure.

She noticed his interest in her horn and tried not to flush, her gaze flicking away, toward the ground where the distance froze her insides. "Uh, do you... know how to get down?"

Seraphina_Angel
Blinking back at her he pinched his small lips together and said in a questioning tone "You just jump down to the lower branches and jump down to the ground from there." That was how he did it and he couldn't understand why she would ask him that since she was able to get up here all by herself.

He dug his small hind claws in as he let go with the front ones and flicked himself in a surprisingly agile and graceful manner to the side landing more comfortably on the tree branch.

Sitting there he looked at her with his head tilted to one side. She was pretty when her face turned pink like that he thought. Sephiroth had to be wrong about girls. They weren't all bad, unless they were big he thought with a shudder remembering how that one had manhandled him.

Lady_Ourania
His words implied that he thought she was lacking in intellect, and the Teyco couldn't really blame him, but even glancing at the earth below made her feel dizzy and clumsy. She didn't want to share that with the boy, did not want him to think she was even more silly than he probably did. She bit her lip, feeling the urge to pout at her inadequacy; was there a class that males went through that had a lesson plan specifically devoted to embarrassing girls and tree climbing?

His eyes were still trained on her, and she wondered if he had already guessed at the fears which were keeping her stuck to the tree branch. "I... um... I think I might have a problem with heights..."

Unicorns were earth-bound for a reason, she decided, and this must have been it. The limb was shuddering beneath her from the added weight of the male, inclined to break if they remained for too long. Her next words came out in a rushed, nervous whisper. "Could you... maybe help me down?"

Seraphina_Angel
Feeling the branch shudder he looked at it and then at the distance to one of the lower branches.

"Yeah I think I can help you." he said putting his nose in the ari and sniffing at the wind. His tail curled a bit as he looked agian at the other branch. Yeah it should hold both of them he thought as he flicked the tail back out.

"Ok you should climb on my back and don't let go or you'll fall. " He finished as he readied his haunches to jump to the next more secure foot hold.

Lady_Ourania
Ereshkigal's eyes widened, and she gave a quick, negative shake of her head, the gesture making her hair fly wildly about her. "No way, you couldn't climb down with me on your back; it would hurt you."

The unicorn wasn't heavy, but she wasn't precisely a feather weight either and the boy did not look built for anything over twenty pounds. There was a scene replaying constantly in her head which included a long, drawn-out scream and a not so subtle splat. Ki reminded herself to breathe and tried to think of another way out of her predicament.

Seraphina_Angel
His face screwed up in a small frown. He knew what she was thinking and he was stronger then he looked.

"I can do it!" he exclaimed defiantly. "You're not that big. I jump all the time and sometimes I have my friend Cloud with me. You're littler then him."

His cat like eyes narrowed in on the young girl and he reached out a small hand to her. The branch wasn't gonna hold forever.

Lady_Ourania
She worried at her bottom lip with her tiny, pearly teeth, staring at the hand and trying to decide if he spoke the truth rather than an egotistical lie. The girl couldn't help it, the fear was making her hesitate and doubt deeply anything beside what she knew to be fact.

Ereshkigal felt the branch begin to bend downward and decided that there was no point in pushing the subject; she gripped his offered hand with her own, scuttling as best she could closer to him and trying not to whimper.

Seraphina_Angel
Taking hold of the small hand in his he pulled her up onto his back and waited for her to secure a grip before jumping with a loud crack from the branch they were on.

Sailing through the air at first he thought that was too easy. A cocky grin even started to show on his cute little face until he realized they were going to reach the branch he had aimed for. Then his face changed to one of horror as he scanned for another branch to substitute for that one.

The one he saw was small and wouldn't hold them he knew but maybe it would let him sring off to land on a better one. Doing his best to twist so they landed on the branch he heard it give as soon as they hit it and he pushed with everything his little legs had to reach the next branch over that was larger and more sturdy.

Oops! maybe they were going to go splat after all he thought even as the question of what that woiuld feel like sped through his curious mind.

Lady_Ourania
She squeaked in a hardly dignified fashion at the tug, wrapping her arms around the boy and having just enough mind left in reserve to decline squeezing the breath right out of him.

It was a strange sensation, his lithe, muscled frame against her front, and she was abruptly reminded of those novels where the hero rescued the damsel from the dragon: This case provided that the damsel had a horn, the hero a tail, and the draconic serpent just happened to be a rather unsteady tree. Regardless, she held on as tightly as she could without strangling.

Being airborne was not all it was cracked up to be, unless there was a mention of bottomless terror and nausea somewhere in the description. Her eyes were shut so tightly that lights were dancing, flickering in a suicidal way that did not help her in the least. She felt them land, felt him tense, and even felt the second branch that they had perched on give way.

Ki had just enough sense not to scream herself silly and deafen her would-be helper.

Oh please don't kill us...

Seraphina_Angel
Sailing closer to the sturdy branch he swiped out with his claws and grabbed hold of the branch. Using his sharp anchirs he began to yank them both up onto the lower branch. Man this really was harder with someone on his back. He would have to try this later with Cloud.

"Hey we made it! you can open your eyes now." he said once he had dragged himself up onto the branch fully. "One more jump and we'll be on the ground."

Lady_Ourania
She gave a negative shake of her head, eyes still scrunched shut and tongue so thick she feared to talk would be to lose her lunch.

Don't wanna look, don't wanna look, don't wanna puke, don't wanna look...

They weren't dead, that was always a good sign, but she didn't want to peer about until she was safely on the ground.

Seraphina_Angel
Scrunching down onto his hunches he wiggled his small behind a bit then leaped again for a lower branch before using it to bounce them down to the ground safely. His little paws hurt from all the jumping and grabbing hold of rough branches he thought as he blew on them.

"Ok we are on the ground now." he said his voice chipper cause he had proven he could do the jump after all.

Lady_Ourania
Ki finally dared to open one eye, an amethyst slit that was hardly noticable against the purple shading of her skin. When she saw that they were indeed on the ground, she gave a relieved sigh and squeezed the little boy tightly before releasing him.

"Thank you," She murmured, glancing up at the branch where she'd been stuck and resisting the childish temptation to stick her tongue out at it. "I was afraid I'd be stuck in that dumb tree forever."

Her legs were still shaky from unused adrenaline, so she sat down and smiled shyly up at the cat-boy. "That was very brave... don't your hands hurt you though?" Even from her spot on the ground she could tell that they'd been rubbed raw in places.

Seraphina_Angel
Looking up at her words after getting a squeeze of thanks form the girl he grinned and put his red hand behind his back.

"Nope they don't feel that bad. I had worse when I put my hands on the stove at home." Adako said as he shifted from one foot to the other a little shy now that she was smiling at him so prettily.

Lady_Ourania
Her smile remained but a crease formed on her forehead when she observed the way that he hid the injured hand. "You're sure? At least let me see, you might have splinters or something. Ourania always says that you need to take things like that out before they get..." She paused, trying to remember the word that she'd spied in a book just that morning. "-infected!" she finished proudly.

The unicorn girl held out one of her hands in an effort to coax the boy's out from where it had fled, "Please?"

Seraphina_Angel
Pulling his hands out form behind his back quietly he held them out for her to see. He couldn't say no to her not when she looked so concerned about him.

"They aren't that bad." he said in a soft mumbling voice.

The soft pads of his small paws were abit raw from where the bark tore at it when he was grasping for the branches. Other then that there was no bleeding or splinters just red skin.

Lady_Ourania
She tisked, as Ourania did when she presented her with minor injuries, and gently took his wrists so that she could turn the hands and examine them more closely. They did not look as though they were fiercely hurting, but she was sure he was experiencing at least some discomfort.

"They wouldn't be bad at all if I hadn't been on your back." She reminded him with a sigh, raising one of his captured hands and laying her lips against it in sweet hopes that it might relieve the pain the small lacerations must have caused. It was an adult gesture, one that she'd seen various people use all the time, and so she saw no qualms in using it now.

Seraphina_Angel
A deep blush spread over Adako's cheeks as his hand was kissed. No one had ever done that before!

"Th..thanks." he said in a shy whisper. As he looked down at his hand and realized it didn't really hurt any more. Looking back up he smiled broadly at her and finished with "Wow you must be like a healer or something huh?"

Lady_Ourania
Ereshkigal blinked in surprise, a curious lilac flush taking up residence on her face at the words. "N-Not really... I think everyone can do that. But you're welcome."

Her owies had always felt mildly relieved after one of the adults in her house kissed them 'all better,' she could only assume that this little boy was also feeling those same effects.

"What's your name?" She asked once she had control over the heat in her cheeks once more, releasing his wrists when she realized that she still had not done so previously.

Seraphina_Angel
Puffing out his chest proudly he stated excitedly "My name is Adako! What's your's?"

His skinny but lithe frame seemed to pump a size or two when he puffed out like that making him seem larger even if he was still just a kitten.

The girl with the horn on her head was pretty and he wanted to impress her.

Lady_Ourania
"I'm Ereshkigal," The young Teyco replied, eyes twinkling at the way he had so readily given his own name. "Ereshkigal Eridanus-" This she pondered for a moment, before deciding upon: "-the Thirteenth."

She wasn't certain why she had added that particular bit onto the end, as she wasn't the XIII of anything, but the girl had read books where people had numbers for names and always thought it rather dashing. "But you can call me Ki for short, if you'd like, Adako."

She said his name quietly, pleased with the way it rolled off her tongue without the frustration of pronounciation problems. He seemed a very sweet boy, and he had aided her despite how stupid her plight had been.

On impulse, she touched a hand to her tiny horn, then moved the same violet digits to lightly caress Adako's forehead as well. "I owe you for saving me. If you are ever in trouble, you can always come to me and I will help you."

The seriousness of the statement was pushed forward by her smile and she quickly dropped her hand before the embarrassment caught up to her.

Seraphina_Angel
Grinning happily he tried to say her full name "Erish.... Eriask......ERIKLE!! I GOT IT!" He's grin turned proud as he honestly thought he had finally pronounced the entirity of her name.

When she touched his forehead his big kitty eyes grew even wider and he tilted his head to the side curiously. Why did she touch his head? Was that a sign of friendship?

His grin grew ever broader as he leaned forward and rubbed his own small finger over her forehead just below the horn and said "There now we are best friends forever. It's like a secret handshake we have." His small head nodded as he spoke.

Lady_Ourania
He had utterly mangled her name, there was no question about it, and under any other circumstances, the young Teyco likely would have been offended.

But his smile ws so sincere that she couldn't help but return it. He's so cute...

Ereshkigal bit her lip when she noted his quizzical look, feeling stupid for having touched his head at all. She sought around in her still slightly scrambled mind for an explanation and made a small noise of surprise when his hand was suddenly on her own forehead.

"Friends...?" She questioned, reaching up to gently grasp his finger. She'd never had friends before, at least never one's that she had made of her own volition. She was acquainted with all the other people and pets in Ourania's home but they were family, not friends. "O-Okay... best friends then,"

Friction between the Fallen.

Seraphina_Angel
Looking at his small finger in her even smaller hand he did a small hop and his grin turned into a full blown smile that enveloped his face from ear to ear. Wow he had made his first friend by himself and he couldn't wait to tell Sephy and Cloud.

"Wanna go play with the fish in the stream at the Sanctaury? It's safer then climbing trees I promise." he asked in a exuberant tone. Pretty girls were usually snobs so to find one that wasn't scared to climb trees he knew that she would like to play in the mud with him too.

Lady_Ourania
She gave a small nod, pleased that he seemed happy at her words. "Sure, and afterwards we can go back to my house and have cookies or something," She suggested, remembering Ourania having remarked that she would try baking something with Na'ir's help.

Ereshkigal grinned and poked his cheek, running ahead and stopping when she realized that she had no idea where the stream was. "Could you lead?"

Seraphina_Angel
Bouncing along up to her he grinned heartily and held out a small paw.

"I can if you think you can keep up." he said in a teasing manner. That should get her moving.

Lady_Ourania
She tried on an offended look as she delicately placed her own purple hand in his paw. "Of course I can; unicorns are really quick you know."

Actually she wasn't entirely sure of that statement, but it didn't hurt to embellish slightly.

Seraphina_Angel
"That's good!" Adako exclaimed excitedly. "Cause I can out run my big brother Sephy." He boasted proudly.

It was such fun having a friend that wasn't living at his house. Maybe now he could go over to her house and play games there he thought happily as he closed his small hand over hers.

Grinning broadly he looked her right in the eyes and said in a rapid slew of words. "ReadysetGO!!" With that he began to run his little legs pumping along as he kept hold of her so she wouldn't get lost.

Lady_Ourania
She bit back a yelp when she was tugged, trying to match her strides to his and feeling her slightly shorter legs protest. Ereshkigal gripped harder, unwilling to complain, and kept up as best she could.

It took a few minutes, during which her small heart was pounding fretfully, but she eventually fell into the pace he had set. She wasn't certain how long it would take to reach their destination, but in that moment, she felt as though she could run forever with her hand in his.

Seraphina_Angel
Feeling her take up the head long charge right beside him his grin grew and he let his small legs unfold completely as the natural grace that gravity sometimes forgot took over and he zipped through the trees towards the Sanctuary.

"Woooooohoooooo!" he cried happily as he made like a bullet with the small unicorn girl in tow.

Lady_Ourania
She laughed at the noise, a high, sweet note that held whispers of wilderness and creatures long since gone. Ereshkigal slowed when she saw the Sanctuary rising up, hoping that Adako would notice her uncertainty and not pull her face first into the ground.

The unicorn had not been here very often, having spent most of her free time at home or in the outdoors thereabouts. Ourania had spoken to her about the place at length, telling her about the other Teyco that dwelled there, names that escaped her now.

Would they all look like her? Strangely, with characteristics that made some humans turn their noses up? Adako was like her, with a kitten's disposition, not to mention triangular ears and hands that held several similarities to claws. Still, that did not mean everyone else would be, and she felt very suddenly self-conscious of her messy hair and the scratches on her legs.

Seraphina_Angel
Feeling her tug away from him he slowed as well and then stopped looking at her confused like.

"This is the Sanctuary. We get to come here and play cause we don't have to worry about the stupid humans finding us here." Adako said in a matter of fact tone. "It's safe. No reason to be a scaredy cat."

An even broader grin took over his face when he teased her a bit. maybe she would do that pretty pink thing with her face again he thought watching intently.

Lady_Ourania
She did pinken slightly, both from embarrassment and a flickering of fear. "You're sure?" Ereshkigal asked, her voice small and somewhat frightened as she stepped closer to him, putting her other hand on his arm as a kind of safeguard.

The unicorn didn't like being afraid. She hissed and booed cowards in story books, disgusted by their inability to cope, but now that she understood what standing at the gates of the unknown was, she felt infinitely more sympathetic.

"What if..." She paused, her tail curling protectively around her knees. "What if they don't like me...?"

Seraphina_Angel
"But you're pretty!" Adako blurted out seeming confused.

Why would people hate her? The smile dropped off his face as concern took over. Did she have some weird secret that made people hate her or something?

"People like pretty people and things so they should like you." he reasoned in to her. He couldn't think of one reason why anyone would dislike such a nice, pretty girl.

Lady_Ourania
Her violet eyes widened slightly at his reassurance, the beginnings of a smile on her small mouth. "You think I'm pretty?" She couldn't help but let the question tumble out into the open, though the little boy had said rather clearly that he thought as much.

Ki leaned into him slightly, wanting to see if he could say it again now that it had registered between them. She wasn't sure, but at this proximity she was almost certain she could tell if he was lying to make her feel better. The original problem was still hovering over her, but the Teyco found this to be much more interesting.

Seraphina_Angel
Twisting his mouth off to the side he hesitated for a moment before answering "Yeah. You're pretty. That's why the boys are gonna whistle at you." He was a bit shakey as he didn't want her to get mad at him and she had leaned in making him be able to see her clear purple eyes even more.

Even though shakey he sounded truthful and even had a look on his face that said he hoped she wouldn't get mad at him for saying it.

Lady_Ourania
She didn't quite understand why boys would whistle at her, but the sentiment was sweet and her chest and throat felt as though they were being overwhelmed by warmth.

"Thank you, Adako," she said quietly, reaching out to brush one of his ear's affectionately. "I don't think everyone will think I'm pretty, and like me for it, but as long as you do, I don't really care what they believe."

Seraphina_Angel
Taking the ear rub with a loud purr he grinned happily at her and held out his hand again for her to take.

"How about we walk in then you can see if you like the place before we get to far in?" Adako suggested in a light tone as he gestured with his other hand at the front gate of the Sanctuary.

Lady_Ourania
Her tail gave a happy flick at the rumbling noise he made and she reached out to take his hand without another opposing word.

"Okay... just... you won't let go of my hand, will you?" Ereshkigal questioned, her free fingers picking at the dress she wore as though trying to determine if the material was fine enough, the cut modern enough, to be inspected by others.

Seraphina_Angel
"Oh yeah! I'll hold your hand no problem. Then all the boys can be jealous of me cause I have the prettiest girl holding my hand." Adako exclaimed proudly puffing out his chest.

"You'll do great. Just smile at them and you'll see...... except the big teyco's. They're mean and they will grab at you and hurt you. So stay away from them." he finished with a shudder remembering the time that Dawn had grabbed him and he had fainted.

Lady_Ourania
Her tail was up around her waist at his warning, her memory flashing back to the time that her mother's houseguest had grabbed the appendage in order to stop her from running away with his book. It had hurt a great deal, and she did not want a repeat experience.

"If the other girls hear you saying that, they'll get mad..." She replied nervously, trying to avoid the impulse to make herself look as small and unassuming as possible. She tightened her hold on Adako's hand, making her lips form a bashful smile. "I'm sure there are a whole bunch who are more..." She mentally scrambled for a word that would fit, "-attractive than me."

Ereshkigal was stalling slightly, she wondered if the cat-boy noticed.

Seraphina_Angel
Smiling confidently which was his way he nodded enthusiatically and began to walk towards the Sanctuary.

"They'll just have to get over it. besides there isn't many small girls like you here. You're special." he said as he led the way up the path.

Lady_Ourania
The unicorn girl didn't feel particularly special, she felt more tiny and vulnerable with a dash of nauseous anxiety. She took deep breaths, just barely retaining enough control not to squeeze Adako's hand off in her distressed state. Was walking into a building supposed to feel akin to falling out of a tree?

"Are there more boys here then?" She asked, uncertain in her own amethyst and lavender colored skin. It wouldn't be a problem if they were all as kind-hearted as the cat-boy, but she rather doubted her luck was that good.

It didn't occur to her that asking after other males could be offensive to her companion, the Teyco was far too wrapped up in her own dread to be that aware of the situation.

Seraphina_Angel
Twisting his lips up into a contemplative look he answered with "Sometimes but usually the place is empty cause the kids play at home. So we should have the place to ourselves unless Cloud and Sephy are there today."

His voice took on a slightly more excited tone when he mentioned his brother and friend. He couldn't wait to introduce his new friend to them.

Lady_Ourania
Empty, that was a relief she hadn't expected. Her smile clearly translated the emotion swelling up inside her stomach, though her brow furrowed slightly at the mention of two foreign names.

"Cloud and Sephy?" She repeated, suddenly realizing that her own elaborate name was not quite so bad. "Are they your friends?"

Seraphina_Angel
Turning back his grin took in his entire face as he answered "Cloud is my best buddy ever and Sephy is my big brother. He doesn't like girls normally but I think he will like you."

His voice held the higest of confidence in what he was saying even though he knew his 'brother' had told him to stay away from girls and to never bring them over to the house.

He couldn't possibly be mean to girls as pretty and cool as Erikle he thought to himself as he went along bobbing his head to a music only he heard.

Lady_Ourania
Best buddies and brothers sounded promising and not nearly as intimidating as total and complete strangers. The fact that Sephy did not like girls was not as reassuring.

"Does he like boys?" She found herself asking, confused at this newest development. She'd read about males liking other males before and found it to be interesting, but the little girl wasn't entirely certain that was what Adako meant.

Seraphina_Angel
When she asked him if Sephiroth liked boys he bit his lip and thought about it for a moment before responding "He doesn't really like anyone but he kisses boys instead of girls if that is what you mean. He likes me though! So if I show you to him and say I like you I am sure he will like you to." A small curve to his lips said that he believed what he was saying completely.

He had never really thought about what Sephy liked and now that he had he couldn't help but remember that his 'brother' was known for hanging out with that nasty piece of work, Lucifer.

At the thought of that particular Teyco his small ears flattened to his head and a small amount of rage showed in those piercing eyes. He wished that his Sephy would just stay away from that freak.

Lady_Ourania
Kissing wasn't something she was entirely into yet, but she made a note to try it at some point with some person. People in books did it all the time, among other things that she could just barely understand.

"If you say so..." She murmured, noticing that his face had taken on a slightly meaner appearance after the smile from before had worn out its welcome. She reached over and tapped his forehead, trying to distract him from whatever it was that distressed him inside his own mind. "No frowning," she insisted, rubbing one velvety ear before taking her hand back.

Seraphina_Angel
His excitment quickly returned and the big grin reappeared on his face. He liked her. She was so nice to him he thought as the rubbing on his ear melted his stress away.

"Ok. I'll smile just for you all the time ok?" Adako said as he picked up her hand again and pushed on the door to the Sanctuary.

Lady_Ourania
Ki curled her tiny fingers around his, pleased that she could cause his happiness to reappear so easily. "Okay..." she murmured, cheeks darkening slightly. "If you really want to."

The unicorn Teyco followed in his footsteps and entered the Sanctuary quick on his heels, tail darting nervously from side to side before wrapping around one of her legs and staying put. The little girl looked around with interest, noting the scenery and the other people with a touch of excitement.

Demented Kid
Laying back for once against the back of the couch, the bone side of his face well and truly covered by hair, Lucifer just flicked through a book lazily. He wasn't really interested in the damn book at all, but it was really only one of the things one could do around the place.

Seraphina_Angel
Sitting on the other end of the couch one leg up under the other he was reading quietly to himself. He could feel the others frustration at being made to read when he was sure there were other things the teen would rather be doing Sephiroth grinned to himself slightly.

To others it would appear that he had found a part in the book he liked but to the trained eye they would know he was finding enjoyment in anothers discomfort.

Well if he wanted to do something else he was going to have to say so. It really shouldn't be up to him to do everything.

Demented Kid
Sighing in fustration, he placed down the book and turned to the other Teyco. Noting the grin, he eyed it suspiciously before asking. "Are you just going to keep reading? Or is that all you do around here?" He asked, looking bored, yet retaining his usual slightly mood features.

It wasn't like he did much himself, but he would of thought Sephiroth would having something more to do then just sit there.

Seraphina_Angel
Looking up he raised an eyebrow questioningly. "Did you have something else you wanted to be doing then?" Sephiroth asked leaning into the other Teyco so his face was mere inches away from Lucifer's.

Placing the book gently to the side the grin grew a bit bigger. It was fun tormenting the teen.

Demented Kid
"Not particulary" He replied as he stared at the face infront of his, eye running along that grin before looking at the bright eyes. He was doing that on purpose wasn't he?! "Smoething else then reading would be a good idea though."

Seraphina_Angel
Leaning just a bit further in he had his lips just about brushing the other Teyco's when he spoke.

"Then I suggest you figure that something out if you want to bother me while I am reading again." His voice was the same cool and calm tone he usually took on but his eyes told Lucifer he had annoyed the young man even as he leaned back on the couch again and picked up his book once more.

As he shoved the door open he could hear voices but didn't discern who they might be coming from. Looking about he spotted his Sephy but then his eyes came to rest on the companion he seemed to have on the couch with him.

The greeting he had been about to yell froze in his throat and his small ears planted firmly against his skull even as he was sure to keep the smile on his face for Erikle.

Demented Kid
A soft gasp escaped Lucifer's lips as they parted once Sephiroth was brushing his lips over his own. But when the adult pulled back, instead of looking taken back, he became rather pissed.

"Very well.." He said quietly, face become "relaxed" again as he leaned into Sephiroth again this time and pressing his lips against the Teyco's.

Lady_Ourania
The little female saw the ears go down and knew quite well that the smile still planted on her friend's face was not at all a true expression of his feelings. Her amethyst gaze sought out what had caused him distress and a light flush dusted her cheeks and spread down her neck when she saw the two men kissing.

"Maybe we should leave them alone?" She whispered, tugging on the hand in hers.

Seraphina_Angel
A small smirk played over his features when Lucifer leaned in and kissed him. So predictable. Snapping an arm up around the other young mans back he pulled him in even closer and returned the kiss more passionately.

If you want to play with fire, dear boy, you will get burned he thought as he teased the lip with his tongue.

Growling a bit in the back of his throat when he saw Sephiroth kiss that nasty jerk back he shook his head violently and turned back to her his eyes determined.

"Nope that is my Sephy and I want him to meet you." his small voice was firm even as he started over that way. "You just have to let go of my hand for a second ok?" He asked for this in a soft tone that said he wouldn;t be gone for long.

Demented Kid
Wrapping his arms around Sephiroth's neck, he moaned into the kiss and parted his lips, allowing entrance into his mouth. Pressing up closer to the Teyco, his usual moody expressions faded even more, eye opening slightly as he could swear his long ears could hear some child voices. Hmph.. whatever.. He thought to himself as he couldn't the kiss and slipped his own tongue into Sephiroth's mouth.

Seraphina_Angel
Noting Luicfer's enthusiasm Sephiroth raised an eyebrow. He had never been this open to public displays of affection before. What exactly had changed to bring this about?

Reaching down he drew the teen into his lap and pulled back out of the kiss.

"Feeling friendly this evening hmmm?" he asked in a mocking tone.

Lady_Ourania
Scarlet mortification crept into her forehead as well when the kissing couple started making noises and she bit her lip while considering tugging both herself and the cat-boy out of the situation. Sephy and his friend deserved some privacy, even if they were going about their business in a rather public setting.

Still, Adako seemed to very sincerely want to introduce her, and she couldn't deny him such a small request as to allow it. The unicorn reluctantly released the boy's hand and gave a short nod, averting her eyes while her tail wrapped even more tightly around her legs.

Seraphina_Angel
Releasing Erikle's hand he walked with purpose towards the two big teyco. His short legs carrying him quickly as he wanted nothing more then to get that jerk off his Sephy.

Leaping a bit he landed just between the two enough so he could give Lucifer a shove and so he was sitting firmly on Sephiroth's lap.

Only something was wrong cause when he pushed the weight of the teen it was not as great as it had once been and he found that he fit in Sephy's lap in quite a different way.

Looking down he grinned widely as he noted his small hands were not so small anymore and that he just simply felt bigger.

"I'm big!!! BIG!!" he cried happily even as he flung his arms around Sephiroth's neck and sqyueezed tightly in his excitement.

A heavy object landed square in the middle of his lap and seemed to fling Lucifer away from him.

"Oof!" came the slight noise of surprise as the object then proceeded to scream something about being big then tried to crush his windpipe.

Grabbing at the arms he yanked hard to relieve the pressure only to find that the grip was rather tighter then he had thought. Easing up the crushing feel though he dragged in air as he noted the familiar hair and smell of the body now hugging him.

"Adako?" he croaked out a bit as air seemd to re-enter his lungs.

So happy he barely could contain himself he turned to face Erikle and beamed.

"I grew up." he exclaimed proudly to the young unicorn girl.

Demented Kid
Lucifer smiled widely and was about to answer before he found himself being pushed off Sephiroth and landing almost over the edge of the couch. His eyes were wide as he registered what had happened in a few seconds, picking himself up off the couch and looking over his shoulder. His eyes were and a large scowl on his lips as he stared at whoever dared push him away. Eye Glowing under the veil of black hair.

But a faint look of shock passed over his features as they noted that the Teen that had pushed him was that nosey brat Adako. Gritting his teeth in pure anger, eye full of loathing, the glow under the hair seemed to intensifie.

On the side table next to the couch, the lamp that was place on it seemed to spark red. The red sparks seemed to grow bigger like minture lightening, rattling the lamp.

Seraphina_Angel
Scrubbing the side of his face against Sephiroth's he could abrely keep from jumping up and down. Now no one would push him around.

"Yup it's me!" he practically squeaked in his excitement. Now he and Sephy could hang out more and he could get rid of that stupid meanie Lucifer.

Realizing he hadn't seen where that idiot had landed he looked over his shoulder and saw him glaring at him. His ears flattened to his head as the excitement changed to anger as he noted the red sparks.

"Bring it!" he snarled nastily at the other teen.

As Adako rambled and hugged him more he saw the look Lucifer was giving Adako over his shoulder even as he wrapped his arms around the now teen panther in response to his joy.

What a pleasant surprise he thought as he looked down the newly muscular back.

His thoughts were halted as he heard Adako and felt him tug against his grip. Oh this was about to not be good.

Demented Kid
Noting that Sephiroth was actually responding to the jumping fool on his lap made his nose wrinkle in a snarl. The lamp suddenly bursting beside him, shattering into tiny pieces. The little brat! Who was he to talk to him like that!?

Lucifer was about ready go for Adako, but before he could, a sharp pain like a knife stabbing through his eye to the back of the head suddenly erupted where his red eye was.

"Aggh!" Doubling over, he clammed his hands over the bone structure on his face, moving to get up and away from what was causing this perhaps. It felt like his face was going to tear off in pain, and the red glow was visably flashing.

He was about to use a power that he was still too young to use, so now it was backfiring.

Seraphina_Angel
Cackling as he watched Lucifer double over in pain. He watched with pleasure as the young man held obto his eye and even moved as if to get away from the pain.

"Can't out run yourself huh jerk?" Adako crowed happily at the misery.

Seeing the pain Lucifer suddenly was in he moved Adako out of the way to move over and take Lucifer's hands away from his face to make sure he wasn't bleeding.

Causing strain on that side of his face was a dangerous game.

"Let me see Lucifer." he said quietly even as he leaned in to take a look.

Demented Kid
Blood was running down his fingers from where his nails were diging into the sides of bone, an overwhelming feeling to just tear off the thing and slash at the a** on the couch. He was still groaning in pain, teeth gritted. How was he supposed to get rid of this pain!? Perhaps he need to calm down, but how could he with the brat around!?

He was too sidetracked to listen to the red head, but as Sephiroth came closer, he hunched up more, flinching away.

Seraphina_Angel
Growling angrily as sephiroth pushed him off to the side to go and check on the a** he reached out and wrapped his arms around his brothers neck yanking on him to bring him back.

"Oh let him bleed. It's not like it will kill him. Nothing that evil and ugly is gonna die from a bit of blood lose." Adako hissed in an annoyed tone.

About to reach for Lucifer he was yanked back suddenly. Grimacing in annoyance himself he instead grabbed Adako roughly by the arms and removed his grip on him.

"Oh and do you think that if he were to bleed all over this place that it would go unnoticed by say I don't know.... Seraph? Or DK for that matter? Think before you speak to me right now Adako. You have done something incredibly stupid and I don't tolerate such actions so well as you know." His tone was cold and held a mild inflection of anger as he spoke to the young cat teen even as he tirned back to go help Lucifer again.

"You need to take deep calming breaths or you'll not be able to focus past the pain Lucifer." He said as he sat back beside the flinching young man.

Lady_Ourania
So many things had happened at once that it was difficult not to feel overwhelmed. Adako seemed to have encountered a sudden growth spurt, Sephiroth and Lucifer's kissing session had been broken up, and now someone was bleeding and hissing with pain.

Ereshkigal took a step toward the injured Teyco, tail flicking nervously while she tried to determine the source of his agony. He was clutching his face, but the rivulets of crimson seemed to have been self-inflicted, so she had little idea of what to do. If she couldn't see the source of his pain, how could she hope to do anything about it?

"Adako..." The cat boy had been almost cruel to the hurting male, and she felt suddenly very alone in a room full of angry strangers. The little girl backpedaled, taking up a spot near the door while she tried to think over the best course of action.

Demented Kid
Lucifer's whole body tensed as one of the words Adako had said registered in his mind, blanking out what Sephiroth was saying to him.Ugly? Who was he to call him UGLY!? I'LL KILL THE LITTLE SLASHED UP BRAT!!!! Lucifer screamed inside his mind, the anger overcoming the angry he was now feeling as he uncurled slowly with a horrid snarl on his face. Glaring straight at the panther boy.

The fringe over the bone was a mess, causing the structure to be seen and the strain all the negativity was causing on it. "I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL TEAR YOU INTO PIECES!!!" Lucifer shrieked as he moved to dive at the panther.

Seraphina_Angel
Watching as Lucifer began to unfurl Adako's heart began to race. Not with fear but with excitement!

Now they would see who was the best and Sephy would stop hanging out with this reject from a horror film.

"Anytime you think you can stand again freak!" He snarled back as he unsheathed his claws and got ready to roll with the pounce.

A look of sheer annoyance showed over his face as he realized the two of them were going to fight. This certainly was not going to help Lucifer's condition and he simply didn't need to explain to Seraph nor DK for that matter why the children were coming home bruised bloody and broken.

When Lucifer pounced at Adako he snapped an arm out and took him clean out of the air and held him against him even as he began to move away from where the cat boy was. No need to simply allow them to make more trouble for him. Especially not if he was around to stop it.

"You will both stop right now!" Sephiroth commanded, his voice taking on a steele quality. If they made him he would take them both down and teach them a thing or two about manners when in the presence of a superior.

Demented Kid
A look of suprise flashed over Lucifer's face as he was pulled back, but he still kept the snarl and grunting in anger as he tried to release the grip around him. Hearing Sephiroth's voice however, made the pain register in the side of his face again, the struggling stopping as he bent over grabbed the side of his face once more.

Seraphina_Angel
Huffing in frustration he heard Sephiroth speak and knew better then to go against that tone of voice. Not if he liked his tail anways.

"Fine but he better never come near us again." Adako snapped as he glared at the pained youth. Why did Sephy like that creep anyways? he thought with a pout.

Shooting an annoyed glance at Adako he lifted Lucifer clean off the ground and into his arms.

"My suggestion is that you concern yourself with your own business Adako and not so much mine from now on." Sephiroth almost snapped back as he began towards the garden and the tranquility that lay there.

"It will be alright I will wash the blood off then take a look at the damage. Just remain calm." he spoke quietly and directly into Lucifer's ear as he carried him away.

Watching them go he realized that Erikle was still in the room as he could hear her breathing. Looking over he saw how scared and alone she looked.

His nasty smile disappeared completely and he walked over to where she was crouching in front of her.

"I'm sorry you had to see that but he is a bad person and he will hurt my brother if I don't protect him." he said in a sincere voice. Holding out his hand he smiled nicely at her to try and comfort her a bit.

Lady_Ourania
The little girl felt slow, as though she were in shock or numbed by the sudden outbreak of violence in the room. She hadn't signed up for this, she had just wanted to make some new friends and maybe play a few games.

Ereshkigal felt a warm presence next to her, shell-shaped ears catching the sound of Adako's voice. She flinched away from his hand when it came near her, tears gathering in the violet pools of her eyes. Was this the same boy who had called her pretty and saved her from the dangers of tree climbing? He bore a passing resemblance, but the dark scarring along his face and arms made her even more wary.

"You laughed when he was hurting," She accused, her voice wavering and she fought back against the natural impulse to cry: She wasn't a baby, she wouldn't let the tears fall. "You... you were terrible..."

Seraphina_Angel
Adako looked curiously at the little girl for a moment then felt stupid for having his hand out. Dropping it back to his side he wrinkled his nose.

Why would she care if he was mean to that creep anyways?

"He's mean. Trust me he twisted my arm when I was little and pushed me around all the time. He even is trying to turn Sephy against me. He isn't noice and he hurts people alot. I was just trying to defend my Sephy from him. I promise I am nicer then he is." he said his voice was sincere and calm, as though he might believe every word he was saying.

Lady_Ourania
Ereshkigal wanted to believe him, did believe him to a point, but she could not shake the icy stillness that had overtaken her heart. She didn't want her newest companion to be nicer than someone who did awful things, the little girl just wanted him to be as kind as before. But she couldn't find a way to express such an emotion and her bravery had been running down throughout the day.

"... I want to go home," She murmured, looking down at her toes and picking at the tuft of fur on the end of her tail in order to have her something to occupy her hands with. The child Teyco quickly turned before she changed her mind and was out the door before Adako could try to convince her that he was the good guy rather than the lesser of two evils.

Seraphina_Angel
Adako watched as Erikle ran from the room and off towards home. He contemplated going after her but he figured that might scare her more so he stayed put.

He'd have another chance he knew so he was content to let her go and think about his words.

Soon things would go in his favour again and he would be able to rid this place of that annoyance Lucifer once and for all. Then his Sephy would look at him and only him, he thought with a slight glow to those normally curious eyes.

Reviving Conversation.

By the time she reached the home she shared with her guardian and fellow housemates, her feet were bloodied and her lavender cheeks wet with tears she hadn't wanted to shed in front of strangers.

I don't understand... why did he act like that?

Ereshkigal did not like missing the point in anything. If she skipped over or misinterpreted a key point in a book, she could always go back and read it again, but real life was nothing like the flat black and white lives of novels.

She didn't even know if she wanted to see him again.

Na'ir opened the door before she had even knocked, as if some paternal sense had alerted him of not only her position, but her mood. His blue eyes widened slightly as he took in the muddied state of her dress and the wilderness which had been caught up in the violet skeins of her hair, but then he remembered his role and gently caught her up as she ran into his lithe arms to sob on his shoulder.

"Shhh, it's alright, Ereshkigal." He murmured, though he was not entirely certain that it was. The Kederi patted the young girl's back and took her inside where she could settle down and warm up.

"And then everyone was fighting and I didn't really get why and Adako said so many mean things to the other boy and-"

"Take a breath and use sentences," Arun instructed as he set a third cup of hot cocoa in front of the shiny-faced unicorn child, amusement warring with protective aggravation on his features.

"Sorry," She said immediately, gulping in a goodly amount of oxygen and immediately obtaining hiccups. The Teyco was still in a messy, upset state, but she had started to feel better after everyone had sat nearby to hear her story and offer up comfort. Those who could not speak to reveal their support had found other ways, such as Iona curling into her lap to purr and rub her head affectionately against the little girl's stomach. Freya had taken up a spot at her side, and Odin was behind her like a faithful, friendly guard dog.

"Go on," The goat kederi encouraged, taking a seat and nursing his own cup filled with dark tea.

"I just didn't want to be there anymore..." She murmured, trying to dissuade the hiccups from rising up while she rubbed the ears of the aiko in her lap. "I thought he was my friend..."

"Why isn't he your friend?" Arun questioned before Na'ir could rush to the reassuring lines. "He didn't hurt you, did he?"

Ki stopped stroking the purple and blue creature's ears to look up at the male with surprise. "Well... no."

Na'ir glared at the horned Arun before speaking directly to Ereshkigal. "If you do not feel safe around this Adako, you should not stay in his company."

"Oh, come on, the guy sounds like he's ga-ga over her," Arun said petulantly, rolling the golden hoop of his earring between two fingers. "She should give him a second chance. Maybe that other guy really was just bad."

"You should never give advice," Na'ir said in a furious whisper, as though expecting Ereshkigal not to hear it.

"Hey, if she really doesn't want to see him again, that's her decision." The goat replied in a tone that said he was trying to be reasonable. "But I think she should at least take the chance and talk to him again. There's no harm there."

The little girl tuned out the rest of the conversation while she worried at her bottom lip. She picked up her cup of hot chocolate, noting that Iona's honey-colored eyes watched the action with interest. Ki lowered the cup down to the other's level, allowing the female to sniff at the chocolatey substance inside and take a cautious lick.

"What do you think I should do?" She asked the cat-like Aiko who was thoroughly enjoying the sweet treat.

"Mrr..." Iona said with ambiguous sincerity before going back to lapping up the dark brown liquid.

Ereshkigal found a smile hiding somewhere and gave an emphatic nod. "Yeah, me too."

Hoping for the Best.

Even after the young girl had resolved to return to the Sanctuary, she found that a lingering reluctance remained, flavored by anxiousness at what Adako would say to her upon seeing her once more. The trepidation was intense enough to pause whenever she was at the doorway, trying to will her tiny feet across the threshold and toward her destination. She likely would have stayed there until it was dark and the opportunity had passed if Na'ir had not yelled from the kitchen to close the door and stop letting the heat from the fireplace out.

She skipped out, shutting the door behind her and nervously gazing out across the winding path through the woods. Ereshkigal wasn't entirely certain she could do this, no matter how many mental exercises she had gone through before, and the Teyco was mere seconds away from turning and shooting back into the house and to her room where everything was safe and held one face instead of two.

Ereshkigal yelped when something warm brushed against her calves, looking down to spot Iona purring up a tidy storm near her feet. Her fright disappeared into embarrassed relief, and she knelt down to pet the violet and blue aiko. "Are you going to come with me?" She asked with a tiny smile, scratching under the little female's chin. A more pronounced purr and a few leaps down the path assured the little girl that she would have willing company.

"Thanks, Iona." The little girl said sincerely, rising to follow the aiko's trim shape as she bolted down the scenic road. It would somehow be easier with company, even a little cat-creature's company.

The unicorn girl wasn't entirely certain what she was so frightened of anyway: Adako had done nothing untoward to her, and he had been sweet enough to escort her down from the tree and try to introduce her to his family. That's where things had gone bad, she reminded herself, when he'd found his prize sibling curled up on the couch with another he didn't particularly like.

Did he still even like her?

She sighed and stopped, burying her toes into the dirt and biting her lip. What if he didn't want to speak with her? Didn't want to see her? Did she really want to go back to him so soon after she'd run out? That thought hurt an astonishing amount, like an ice-pick through the heart. He had done nothing to stop her from leaving before, so it was plausible that he had been relieved to see her go.

Iona threaded around her legs, trying to push her with the crown of her little skull further down the path. Ereshkgal picked the aiko up, nearly choking on a sudden sob when she found the cat-creature to be nearly as soft as the dusting of fine black fur on Adako's ears. "I don't know if I can do this..." she admitted, holding Iona up in front of her face to peer into the amber depths of the other's eyes. "What if he turns me away?"

The aiko licked her cheek to catch an errant tear, putting her little paws to either side of Ereshkigal's face to clean her up entirely. The unicorn girl laughed abruptly, nuzzling Iona and gently placing her down, rubbing her cheek where the sandpaper tongue had rubbed it raw. "Thank you, I think I needed that."

Ereshkigal sighed when she saw the aiko pause to look over her shoulder before going on, as though sure she would follow.

Iona mewed in gracious acceptance of the thanks, turning down the path and walking a short distance before glancing over her shoulder and waiting for the unicorn Teyco to catch up.

"You're a butthead," The girl said with a childish pout, trying to bolster the confidence that Adako would still be the cute little boy who had called her pretty and smiled to reassure. Ereshkigal bit her lip, straightened up and followed, hoping very sincerely that she wouldn't regret going back to him or - at the very least - that he wouldn't.
