(( I decided to this in Story form then have a journal entry after. I have done this to explain Emeriels and my absecence. After this is posted expect me to be in the thread once agian.))
It started off as a normal day not long after christmas. Relean had gotten the mail and there was a strange post card with it.She sat down at the kitchen table and looked at it. She made had a weird look on her face as she seemed to know the place but, couldn't really remember it. She then flipped it over to read the back, it read, "Do you remember your past old friend? Maybe you need reminding? If so come to the adress on the card...". Relean seemed puzzled, who wrote this? What did they want?
She really couldn't just ignore it, could she? That's when she heard Emriel running down the hall and to the kitchen table he looked at the card as he grabbed a piece of toast from a plate on the table. "It looks prity" he said as he scarffed down the piece of toast. Relean looked at the card agian and blinked. She wondered what she should do and looked back her son of sorts.."Emri do you want to take a trip there? I mean it does look pretty after all..." She couldn't help herself Emriel may be the feline of the two but, she was the curouis one after all. Emeriel almost choked on his toast, he smiled brightly and said rather exictedly, "Of course I'd wike to go there! I've never been on a twip before!" Relean nodded and thought about how they should work on his r's...
A few days later Relean had made arrgments to get off of work and travel plans she had Toryeva and Serrena take turns taking care of the other animals she wasn't going to bring. Emriel was esatic packing all kinds of things into his backpack, most of it most likely wouldn't need but, that of course didn't stop him. Infact he was so excited the night before that he didn't sleep at all. This turned out to be a good thing for the journey was long and he slept through most of it.
Relean was grateful for Emeriels sleeping, the drive there was strange the weather would slip between being sunny to raining. She wondered of this was such a good idea...but something in her said she had to go...she new the place on the card...but how and why? Well she needed to find out. She just hoped that nothing bad would happen.
They entered a small town after a while. She hadn't been in such a small town in a long time. She parked the car and touched emriels face to wake him up. His ears perked up and awoke wiping the sleep from his eyes. He looked around at his surrondings. They seemed to be in a small town with forest surronding there were very few cars around and the weather was odd, it was sunny but, raining lightly.
They got out of the car and Relean looked around for someone, anyone. That's when she spotted a small diner. They went inside and she asked about how to get to the house also where exactly this was. She was told it was a little ways up the road and she was not far out of Durrem. After they ate they went back out on the road.
It wasn't too long before they came across a field of flowers and a place where a large house and some property were, the rain came to a stop as they got out of the car.It looked like the place on the post card alright, and for some reason Relean wanted to cry at the site of it. The air around it was sweet by the flowers in the field around it. Emriel thought it was nice to see such flowers, they didn't seem to grow like that where they lived.
They were soon greeted by two people, a young man around Relean's age and an older looking women. They ushered them both inside. The house was very neat inside, with lots of black furinture, they all sat down and started talking. It seems that this was another one of Relean's parents house's. She had remembered coming here after she heard about it. It was left in the care of these people...as this was just a summer home. Well that's about all that Emriel heard as he got a little bored and the people said he should go explore the grounds, there were a few horses out back he could check out and a sheep dog they kept around.Emriel decideed it sounded like fun so off he went.
He went outside the back way and went to looked like a small stable. That's when he saw the huge creatures they called horses. He had never seen one before except in pictures. His eyes went wide as he stared at them...he had never seen anything like them before. He streched out his paw and the sniffed him eying him, and allowed him to pet thier nose softly he stared up at the power beings and wondered what it would be like to ride one.
While Emriel was thinking he didn't notice that the dog had spotted him. Emriel had only known Relean's dogs who were raised with kittens, he had never met a mean one or one who chased cats...untill then anyways. The dog barked, Emriel turned around to meet with a snarling face ready to bite into his feline hide...Luckily emriel was fast and ran. He ran bast the feild and into the surrounding forest. The dog still presued him and he ducted into a cave like place hoping the animal would give up. He heard the dog sniffing and he went further back into the cave. That's when he noticed a small light at the back of the cave. He went towards it forgetting about the canine...
He lowered his ears and made his foot steps quiet as he heard something that sounded kind of like laughter coming from the light. He kept creaping closer and tried to keep the sound of his breathing queit as he got closer and closer. What he saw supprised him. There was a small hole in the cave where light shown off crystals and made small ranbows dance on the cave walls. He stood there for a minute just looking at the rainbows...He out his paw out and touched one of them. It felt cool to the touch and he smiled at the beatuy of it all. He remembered that Relean told him came from a stone too...these crytals didn't hold Teyco like him though...but, they still reminded him of it...he was about to leave when he spotted a small crystal piece that had fallen off from the rest of them...he picked it up and went back.
He explained what happened and they locked up the dog, and invited them to stay for some time. Relean agreed as she thought it would be good for Emriel. They had a lot of fun exploring the woods and riding the horses. Relean mostly talked with the older lady who had known her parents very well. It was an emtional time for her and she was glad her emri was there.
They stayed for a few weeks. Emriel tried to find that cave agian but, never could...the day they left Emriel was a little a sad but, was glad to be going home. Plus he still had his crystal keepsake so, he knew he would never forget it.It was nice to get home. Toryeva made a necklace for Emriel with the crystal so he could always carry it with him. Relean hoped he wouldn't forget like she did...but, she had a feeling he wouldn't. When all was said and done it was a good trip.
