Ever consider studying herbalism? Pay attention to what they do for you. In my experience, if something talks to you that much, it really wants a conversation. Check out Plant Spirit Medicine by Eliot Cowan; if you're interested in being a shaman with herbs, it's a good jumping-off point. Not to mention it's fun.

I'm actually very interested in herbalism, I'd study it if I could find a relatively inexpensive book that wasn't completely fluffy. ^_^ I'm broke until my next paycheck though.
