Gah, I don't have the MONEY for either a DS or the new pokemon games. ;-;

Yay, I got Diamond on Sunday and it's so much fun biggrin
I tihnk the reason I still like pokemon games is that I just find it fun to build up my team and become close to the pokemon and stuff. It's a little bit different each time because of the different pokemon available and none of them are exactally the same.

I got Diamond, thanks to a friend demanding that I play with him. xd Unfortunately, I've not had time to play. I can't wait till the term ends for me so I can finally open it!

I fear I may be the only person still holding this position on the games of pokemon and I fear I must express them.

POKEMON DIED WITH SILVER AND GOLD VERSIONS!
After that it was too many pokemon with the same damn storyline over and over again! I am shocked that I even liked silver and gold! Why are you all so content to cough up hard earned cash for the same game over and over again!? SERIOUSLY! The storyline is this; [name] starts in his hometown, gets a starter pokemon. Has a rival, sets out to beat the rival by getting all 8 or so gym badges and be the best pokemon master ever.
THERE ISN'T EVEN A SLIGHT VARRIATION! stare

Sorry for those of you who where offended, I just can't understand how you can stand to play the same game with a diffrent name over and over and over again!

I agree. Though the game is still fun and addictive...

I loved the original 151 pokes.

The second set was alright...

BUT HOW MANY ARE THERE NOW?!?! I Lost track. I just recently started playing sapphire...

Well "I fear" that you need to actually play the new game before you trash it. So what it repeats the whole "getthebadgesbeatyourrival" thing, I play/buy it because of all the new pokemons and towns it has, all the fun new things they add to the game to make playing it worthwhile, for example on pearl&diamond you can dig for treasure under ground make your own clubhouse while being in wi-fi, you can enter your pokemon in contest and put acessories on it, the new moves your pokemon learns, seeing your pokemon grow etc etc. it is'nt "the same game with a diffrent name"

Also, who are you to say that we should'nt spend our money on this game?
Just because you don't find this game appealing does'nt mean that everyone in the world just HAS to think that it sucks, I don't really care for Final Fantasy but you don't see me going into final fanatsy threads saying "HOW CAN YOU SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS s**t!!?"

Everyone has diffrent taste
don't look down on them because their taste is'nt the same as yours.

I must admit that I agreed with the theory of Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald being a little too repetative. I got Leafgreen for Nostalgia's sake. However, I saw that some of the things I liked about Gold and Silver had been brought back for Diamond and Pearl. I got Pearl and I don't know... the magic just seems to be back. I like the pokemon and it's just fun again. smile I'm all for it.

My team consists so far of Infernape, Luxray, Staraptor, Roselia, Gastrodon, and the sixth is sort of a variable which will shortly be replaced with Palkia.

Sorry I offended you so. I just had to express my opinion. And I wasn't yelling ((most of the time ninja )), or calling it s**t because it isn't.

I just don't think that god knows how many pokemon to keep track of, an auction and a few beauty contests are not my style. And yes, I have played the new game. My friend let me play a little bit of his game, and I know you are going to say "a little bit isn't enough!" or something along those lines. And wile the wireless connection is definately a plus, I miss the old days, when you could actualy memorize all the moves, Items, pokemon and characters without studying.

As for final fantacy, I must defend that by at least saying that the diffrence between pokemon and FF is.... That with 13 games and counting, every one of them has a plot diffrence (( and not a slight diffrence where a single noun is changed such as the diffrence between time and dimention or earth and water)). I don't mind the fact that the battle systum has hardly changed since the good ol' PC version of FF 1, but when the plotline is monotonus and I see the same thing over and over and over again... the day that happens to FF I will turn my back on it as well.

I apologise again if I offended you (( this extends to those who may have also been offended)). I will be sure to chose my words more carefuly in the future.

I heart my Torterra....He's my big baby. whee sweatdrop I like the foot-step doctor-dude. He helps me understand my pokemon better, weird as that sounds...My Golbat is being stubborn though...

I'm not so into the contest, I suck at the dancing part. xp

Contests are very hard. I've mangaged to get through three of four ranks in Tough contests with Luxray. I have a harder time getting the appearence to work. I have difficulties fitting the categories.

The EB games clerk lied to me when he said you can get any pokemon in either version, which I lifted an eye to him in doubt.

So i have the cooler legendary pokemon haha sweatdrop

Um no, actually I was'nt gonna say that. As I said before everyone has their own taste you don't like pokemon because you feel that all the pokemon game are the same and there is too much pokemon and I can care less about FF because the gameplay is horrible the storyline was'nt really that deep it never made me get all emotional like ICO,SOC, or MGS2 did, the characters were pretty much the same personality wise and (now that I think about it) they all look the same. I've played FF 8, 10 and X2 the gameplay was a little bit improved but overall it was still boring...

Anyways, I think that more moves and more pokemon is what makes the games exciting and enjoyable. If they stuck with the same moves and pokemon that they had like from red and blue I would'nt even be interested in the newer games, pokemon is like...animal crossing to me it might not have that much of a storyline but it's REALLY fun to play and thats why I buy video games in general to have fun or just something to do when i'm bored.

My mom bought me Pearl and my sister Diamond just for the heck of it. I really love it. It's so addicting.
