it is a great game - the last game I made was the Islands of Japan - with five different ruling nations - samurai vs samurai
I also forgot to mention that you can be any country - romans, greeks, the US, the english, french , spanish, the Zulu, the persians, the list goes on and on

Wow that sounds alot like Civ. But I dont like Civ 4 because it's too hard to eliminate everyone...but for realism its pretty acurate to what would happen. Whats Galactic Civ like?

Galactic Civ is bad a** - but I am a huge sci-fi buff - If you create the galaxy a certain way - it is near impossible to beat anyone

well if you can get CIV IV - try the barbarian campain - almost impossible on Emperor difficulty or above ( you have to fight everyone, all at the same time)

No I'd suggest trying Civ 3 or 2 first, I mean in Civ 4 its near impossible to just wipe out everyone which takes away alot of fun.

I love a good challenge - in fact in the Barbarian campain I started (all of Europe) - so far I have taken Britain, France, and part of Scandinavia - now I have to rebuild my armies for the next campain twisted

So, how long does an actual game (or round, or map, or whatever) take?? Sounds like hours almost, instead of the three or less for Age of Empires. Do you do campaigns in, like, sections or something?? Or is it like Risk where you can just play for literally days on end??

The giant map I made of all of Europe, the middle east, and northern Africa could take days to beat. I started it with about 15 other countries - the british, french, spanish, irish, german, russians, persians, carthaginians, greeks, romans, the ottomans, and a few others - its a giant flat map - but you can make globes if you wants

I can't think of the name of my favorite strategy game, but I do like civilization, and there's also an old board game of it, which is actually fun when ya play with friends smile
