 About time they could agree on something. He grinned with a smug look. Walking behind her, though he wasn't actually looking at the moment. He was just walking slightly slow. The hot sun baring down on them, though he was use to it most the time.
His mouth was dry from not drinking for awhile, but he's done without longer then this. He then quickly walked faster and started doing his job. He walked in the direction the deer had gone.
Every few steps or so he'd sniff the air, sniff a plant, and then shake his head and walk on. Every sent he picked up was a few hours old to a day old. Finally he stopped. The wind had changed and every deer in the area had most likely picked up their sent. "This is useless." He said to himself. Very disappointed. They'd have to go somewhere a little away from the pack.
He looked at the green female. "I don't care if you object, but we've got to go a lot farther." He knew a nice watering hole where some pray would be, though, it would take them until night to get there perhaps if they were lucky. He looked up at the sky.

Akumu gave a silent nod and continued to walk next to Thona. She wondered a lot about him, for she didn't know anything, but decided not to bother asking. It was his personal life and she really didn't care to know anyway. Figuring that keeping out of his way and to herself was probably the best thing, Akumu kept silent for the whole walk. It had been a long time since she left the shelter of the pack and didn't know how far Thona was going to take her. She finalized in her mind that she would not leave the pack's territory for outside of it is dangerous and possibly another god's land.
Thinking about this made her recall earlier, the battle between Yin and the old owner of the land. She soon began to hope that her and Thona were safe enough, or even just far enough, from him that they won't become the hunted. Thinking of this made her shutter as a chill ran down her back. The defeated god was indeed injured but could probably take both of them out in a heartbeat. He was older and more experienced then Yin was and neither Akumu not Thona stood a chance against him.

He saw her move funny from the edge of his eye. "Whats wrong?" He didn't stop walking, they weren't at all close. The sun still bearing down at them. Once it was almost set, he'd know they were close.
He still watched her with little interested at why she did that, but it could have some use for him. He didn't know that not too long ago two gods had fought here. He knew that the one he was interested in trying to impress at the moment got into some type of battle.

"Just thinking is all." She shook her head and snapped her mind away from the thought that were bothering her. She took at wide step over a fallen branch and stepped right onto a sharp stone. Akumu's leg gave way and she tripped, catching herself with her right paw. "Damn it ... " She mumbled to herself as she sat down on the ground. "Great, just great." She couldn't believe at what she just did, it made her feel as foolish as a pup. Cursing to herself under her breath she began to lick the sore paw.

He turned as he saw her stumble a bit. He raised an eyebrow as she cursed. Well, she did quite have a mouth on her. He grinned. "You ok, or do you want to rest?" He asked more gentlemen like. He wasn't totally rude to females, expecially when they were his only chance to get into a thing he wanted badly.
It was mostly all an act. If she had been following him and he was already in the pack, he would have simply left her there. He expected she would do the same. Though, he would of course, make sure she was at least not bleeding before he left. Blood was easy to smell, and would scare any creatures in the area if they picked up on it.

"No, I'm fine." She put her paw down and rolled onto her back. Maybe this wasn't so bad, maybe time away from the pack is what she needed. She thought about how badly she wanted to leave and wondered if this was the time to do so, to never return. She began to wonder why Yin made her come to begin with. It's understandable that he would test Thona, but why her? Was she being tested as well?
Akumu rolled over and looked over to Thona. Keeping her head straight she avoided his face. "Go on, you might as well just go. I'll do nothing but slow you down." She rested her chin on the ground and closed her eyes.

He was confused. Then it hit him. She didn't want him in the pack. "Oh... No... I'm not leaving you." He said. He'd make her come with him if he had to. She was not going to mess this up. He took a step forward.
"If this is some trick to get me to leave, and me not being able to get into this pack..." He said and trailed off. He eyed her carefully. He wasn't about to fall for this.
He stood stern, muscles unrelaxed, ready to move at any second. It was like he was cautious all the time. Though, right now he was just a little uneasy. Being around her, and also trying to hunt his best for some god. He wasn't exactly nervious, but he wanted to prove himself worthy.
His tail flicked only a tiny bit at the end, still watching the other. He was being rather serious, and it didn't do him any good at all. He looked rather funny, perhaps thats the reason he never was serious unless it counted.

"Don't even worry about that! Yin is going to let you in wether I'm with you or not. We're better off appart." Akumu growled out, trying to keep the pressure off her paw. She was getting frustrated with him and really just wanted to be alone. "He's not going to fail you out for something that isn't in your own power. For something that is my own problem." She still had a growl in her voice but it was more calm. She laid back down and rested her head on her arm. Closing her eyes she remembered some things that made her wence and sigh.

Was he that easy to read. What if he really ment something else? He glared at her. "Well, I couldn't just leave you out here anyways. You wouldn't be able to take care of yourself if you just happened to run into danger." He said looking at her paw.
He kind of guessed why she wanted for them to seprate. "Why are you running from your pack?" He asked curiously. "It's the only thing I can think of, but why run away from something you joined willingly."
"Sure your probablly not mean like the others, but what if your the only one that keeps the balance in the pack? You'd just ruin it like that just because you think you don't fit?" He felt like that was a very stupid reason if she was leaving because of that. Way too selfish, she was starting to seem.

Akumu looked down at her paw again and sat there in silence. She never talked to anyone about her personal problems and didn't know if speaking of them would just get her in trouble with Yin or just amount to nothing. "Because I don't belong here." She couldn't think of anything else to say to him. She didn't know if talking about it would really matter or if he would agree with her and walk on. Hoping it was the second one she decided to just say what she had longed to for a while.
"When I was growing up I was in a pack with normal Ulayas. None of them had anything different about them down to the same fur tone. They all looked at me like I was a freak, like I was the spawn of all evil and shunned me my entire childhood." She paused for a moment and focused on the ground before continuing again. "They ran me out of the pack and made it almost impossible to find a good place to live. All because of my wings, me being an Undulcan. I guess they just feared me and didn't know what else to do. As a cause of this I had no choice, when I ran into Yin he spoke of finding a place where none of them would eve judge again so I joined him."
Akumu took a look back up at Thona and waited for him to speak. She didn't expect much from him as a reaction but she did hope that he would say something in return to break the silence. She just wanted to find someone out there that wasn't cold hearted.

Thona listend carefully. It wasn't really his thing, but there wasn't anything else to do right now. His tail flicked. He started thinking on what to say. Sure she wasn't evil. He wasn't even evil. He waited just a little longer before saying anything. "What I don't understand, forgive me, is that you say you don't belong here, yet everywhere else won't even let you in thier pack?"
He shook his head. "Please inlighten me on where you actually belong? Because to me, you have to want to belong somewhere to actually belong. Sure, your not as mean as some of them in the pack. Hell, I'd never be half as evil as most of them." He said honestly.
"I know how it is to get outcasted. Ulaya's don't like different things. Or at least the ones I've ran into. Do I look exactly normal? Sure, I don't have wings like yours. I can't fly. I have nothing special about me except my hunting skills." He paused and pased.
"I think your just trying to run from everything. You don't want to belong anywhere." he looked at her, not like normal but with a little life actually in his eyes. "I guess it would be hard being in a pack where your possibly the only one that isn't anything evil?"
"But your not alone. I'm not evil. I'm just not a nice guy." He smiled a bit.

Giving a slight sigh for she knew he wouldn't get it right off, Akumu rested her chin on her crossed fore arms and looked around some more. Her paw was getting better, probably well enough to walk on, but Akumu continued to lay there thinking to herself. Giving a final nod to herself she blinked and stood up. "We should get going, you have to get your hunt and I still have chores that need to be done back in the pack." She turned around and took a couple steps before pausing and waiting for Thona to lead the way.

He eyed her for a minute and shruged. Walking forward he figured he gave his pray too much time. This was slighly annoying. He smelled at the air to get track of which general direction they had gone, then looked at the other. "Your not going to bail out, right?"
Sure, he was being selfish, and was only doing this to get in. But that was him. He flicked his tail before starting to walk in the direction they had been going before. He walked slightly show, and continued to sniff at the air.

"What's it matter? You'll catch your prey and get into the pack." She knew that's all he wanted and didn't care much. She didn't like being the center of attention and just wanted to be alone but that wasn't going to happen. Changing angle Akumu began to follow him with a low distance behind. Flicking her ear every once in a while at the sounds of scampering squirrels and other woodland critters. "Even if I did ... " She started to mumble to herself. "It wouldn't be for a while." She couldn't afford to leave Yin's pack and risk being hunted down by a higher and more powerful Ulaya. This area was writhing with gods and higher powers it made her skin crawl. All she could think about is how lucky she was to find Yin and how welcoming he was to her, she could have had it worse off.

Thona said nothing as he continued to walk. He just wanted to get this over with already. He'd spent enought time with this other. It was starting to get to him. Though, he had to keep cool. He wanted to tell her to be quiet already, he was onto something now.
The sent was rather strong, even a beginner hunter would be able to smell that. It was close. It wasn't a deer like they had been following before, but a huge boar. They were harder to catch, and fight back if you don't kill them first.
He stopped dead in his tracks and look to the other. He whispered just bearly loud enough for her to hear. "Stay here and keep quiet. This'll be over soon" He grined. Turning, he lowered himself to the ground as low as he could before creeping along.
It was near, but how near was the question? Thona figured about a yard to three yards away. He couldn't see it yet, and he was sure it hadn't heard them yet. Well, if it had, it would have charged them already. One good thing about boars, they always fought back. Sure thing of catching one, unless of course they get you first.
His tail flicked every few steps as he crept closer and closer. Finally, he could see it. It was bigger then he thought. It would just take mroe time to catch. He was waiting for the perfect moment. He watched the boar as it sat there eating grass.
