Um, during a concert, everyone in the band stood up during the applause. We usually stand up a few seconds after the applause, then sit back down to play the next song. Well, I'm first flute and I don't see anyone else except the clarinet across me. I was standing up and looking out at the audience, when I heard people call my name. Everyone else was sitting down. Ugh. sweatdrop

When I was in band camp we were watching all the upperclassmen do the about face and as they did it shouted 'W-H-S' and I turned to my friend and stupidly asked 'What the hell does WHS stand for??' and she of course replied 'WHITMER HIGH SCHOOL YOU DUMASS!' scream
There was also this one thing I did yesterday at our playoff game... I was talking to my clarinetist friend holding my piccolo upsidedown in my hand. For some reason I kept thrusting my hand down making weird hand gestures and the head of my piccolo fell off under the stands xd My friends started laughin' like there was no end to it, but thank god one of em' found it. It was dark around the stands we were sitting in and apparently the head joint went a lot farther than anyone had thought it did whee

Miangel Yikes! I've had the headjoint to my flute fall off before. >.< Is your piccolo okay? Yes, I'm glad to say that it's doing well. 3nodding xd But then, it's not my piccolo, it's the schools. It wasn't as bad as before though, as opposed to my friend dropping it through our home stands where my piccolo was covered in dirt. whee Or the time when my friend Jessie's head joint flew forward into some mud xd

Haha, my headjoint used to fall off a lot, but eventually the end of the headjoint (the part you push in) got enough dents to where it fits... snugly... now. XD So it doesn't come off anymore.

It fell off one or two times so far this year whee

Mostly freshman year, when tenor-guy would take my (fully assembled) flute and run around with it. xp

my most embarrasing moment... wow... now i have to think, i have so many... wait got it ^^!!
Last year was the first year I went for All County. And I made it! I was sencond chair French Horn, above everyone else in my section from my school. Well, we had about an hour break for lunch and I got really bored. So, for some reason, I got my mouth peice and my brand new mute. I went to my friends and said, 'Hey, look at this. I found a place to keep my mouth peice.' I dropped my mouth peice into my mute, and it got stuck. It was the only mouth peice I had and we had five minutes until we started up again. I tried to shake it out, but to no avail. Then the band instructor got onto the podium and still no mouth piece. I went to my horn insturctor and told her what happened. So she hit me over the head, hard, and got it out with a pencil. The mute still has dents in it... redface stressed sweatdrop xp

Dimitri_H I walked into the ladies bathroom at a dennys when i was half asleep the morning we got to WAZZU band day festival. two of our trumpet players were standing at the sink combing their hair...needless to say I was awake shortly after. Good morning? blaugh I'm reading all these stories and saying, "THANK YOU! I AM NOT ALONE!" xd I got another one. It's wasn't really as embarrasing at it was weird. Our marching season finally ended last Friday with our last game. And for the senior lap, my junior dressed me up as the... sweatdrop redface rodeo princess. It was funny, but weird. I don't know how, but it did stuff to my head. If you saw it, you'd laugh, too.
