"Thanks." Sighing, he let his hand fall, and nodded. "In the jungle, but that's about as specific as I can give you. I don't think it's safe t' stay in one place for too long at a time. I'll try an' find somewhere secure where you can contact me, keep me updated." Pausing briefly, he glanced up to the gorilla man and summoned back a grin. "But I've doubt they've done much of anythin' to her. Emelyn hadn't done anythin' to get on the bad side of the labs before this, so they'll probably just warn her an' let her go."
He gave the trees another quick glance, then straightened up a bit and stretched out his arms. "I don't know what to do with myself now that I'm free. Thought about tryin' to leave the island, decided they'd shoot me on sight if I arrived anywhere else."

Oz was maybe not so confident that Emelyn would be free of a punishment, but having said that - he was unpunished for his property damage. But what was higher on their list, a vandal or a conspirator?
"I'll probably be spending more time out here anyway," he shrugged with a half-arsed grin. "I'm sure I'll run into you."
Finding his weight almost too unbearable to keep straight, he fell to a sitting position and then made himself comfy. Despite fighting his gorilla 'image,' it was almost inescapable because of how similar apes were to humans. Many gorillas might have sat just like Oz was now.
"Yeah...I guess the 'real' world wouldn't see us...as...normal..." he sighed. "But at least you have...one up on them...they can't stop you anymore..."

Thom's confidence in Emelyn's safety was mostly false. After all, he had been locked in his duplex for days on end just for pestering Zach a bit. But maybe they would go easy on Emelyn... The poor girl had been through enough already, he was sure. He probably should have asked someone else to do it. But someone had removed Jamal's chip and gotten away with it, right? Who was it, and what had happened to them?
"Even if we could get back without getting locked in a zoo, we couldn't go back to our old lives. I couldn't, anyway," he shrugged, shooting a glare down at the stub-of-a-leg that remained. "Hate th' labs. But if I can't leave, th' least I can do is try an' keep them from bringin' in more people, right? Newt's makin' weapons," he added suddenly, deciding he could trust Oz with the information, and grinned. "The labs can only 'ave so many guards here."

Ah yes, Jamal's chip removal. Oz was unaware of him and his side affects, since Jamal's experience was less then savoury. And of course, he was unaware that Jamal was also a monster of the jungle.
"Weapons?" he enquired, just a little confused.
How? How could they make weapons without being caught. As admirable as the idea of a revolt against the labs was, it felt like another fantasy inside. But wasn't the escape plot just the same? An idea, something that had to at least eb tried.

"Weapons," he affirmed smugly, and nodded. "Newt's brighter than he lets on. Irritatin' as all hell with that stammer, but he tries to control it...if you remind him six or seven times a minute." He rolled his eyes, all but getting a headache at the very thought. Newt was helpful, Newt was useful to have around, but Thom would've sooner spent an entire evening chatting with Zach than ten minutes around the frog man.

Oz had only the vaguest working knowledge of Newt. He thought he'd seen him at the construction site, and possibly since then as well. Depended on what he was. As ashamed as he was to admit, he was just like Thom - he found it easier to identify Islanders by their animal.
"And you plan to just...what? Attack the guards and storm the labs?" there was a hint of uncertainty in his voice.

"Course not," Thom scoffed, shaking his head. "That would be suicide. Or as close to it as th' labs'll let us. They probably don't even use bullets." He paused briefly to regather his thoughts, then shrugged and continued.
"Guerilla warfare, I suppose. Fight 'em from th' jungle. Keep 'em distracted with little spats 'ere an' there while workin' on somethin' bigger. There are over seventy people changin' on this island, Oz... If we wanted to, we could cause some damage, especially if we could find a way to get into th' labs themselves."

"Heh...if you need a bulldozer in your plan, I'm at your service," he added with a chuckle, trying to keep his mind from wandering the gloomy truth that the labs could indeed kill everyone of them. Without firing a single bullet.
Now, it was Oz's turn to feel smug. At first, he looked a little pensive, staring down at his odd feet and flexing them with an amazing dexterity. Even at this incomplete stage, he could almost move his 'thumb' separate to his toes.
"Well...if you want a way in..." he began cautiously, then letting that grin sweep across his face. "...I know a way."

"I may take you up on that," he agreed with a laugh, taking the comment much more in stride than Oz seemed to be. Thom had long ago accepted and, indeed, embraced the idea of killing...as many guards as he could in the time he was free, along with, possibly, a few of the less-liked islanders. But he, unlike Oz, had attempted to kill before, and perhaps those unsuccessful attempts were why he was so eager now.
Thom was pulled from his murderous thought, however, by the gorilla man's final words, and glanced up with a look of disbelief for Oz. He eyed the other man uncertainly, as if expecting a hoax, but quickly decided he would lie about such a thing and grinned. "Do you really? How? Where?"

"Have you ever seen or met Seth? The guy with the freaky jaws and stripy backside?" he continued, serious in a naive way.
Almost like a child trying to explain something seriously, Oz just seemed to exude an attitude of knowing innocence. There was little malice or even intellect in his ramblings. He was merely following Seth's plans and on board for the ride.
"He has a plot to tunnel into the lab grounds."

The description sounded vaguely familiar; perhaps Thom had seen him in passing. The name, however, evaded him, and he opted to deny all knowledge. "Can't say I've met him, no," he admitted, shaking his head.
He waited with growing curiosity for the entrance to be revealed, but, once it was, frowned faintly, raising a scaled brow to peer skeptically up at the gorilla man. "Tunnel into the labs. How, pray tell? I can't see 'ow you'd manage to hide a tunnel from them for long."

This is where that childishness revealed itself further. Oz looked a little lost for words and almost sheepish as he then avoided Thom's gaze, as if what he wanted to say might be hidden on the jungle floor.
"Umm...I don't know that much yet, I guess. Seth is handling most of the planning...and Gaius is in on it," he said, trying to defend the idea somehow.

"I'm not sure I've met him either," Thom countered with a sigh, in a breath discarding the idea. He slouched back against the tree, careful of the bandage on his neck, and shook his head.
"Dunno, mate. Even if you managed to find somewhere free of cameras to dig, they'd wonder why th' three of you were frequentin' th' same area day and again. An' even if you get past th' gate, you still have to find a way in th' labs itself." He grimaced, eyes turning in the general direction of the labs, though there was nothing to see save for trees from where they were. "But keep me updated. Who knows? You may get lucky, an' we can get in t' do some damage."

Eventhough the escape idea was not his, Oz still had a lot of naive hope in it. It was the only thing he could really look forward to in this place. Deep down, he was a little concerned that his priority on this 'mission' was no longer escape. It was vengence, it was violence, it was judgement. But these deep-seated feelings were still buried for now.
"I will. Luck is all we have in this place, its the one thing they can't control...I hope," he added grimly, and then began to grin. "Doing some damage sounds like the fun part."
