Paws stepped lightly through the grassy pridelands, mane ruffling in the occasional midday breeze. Walking back to pride rock with the young cub at his side, Juhudi could not help but think of the days he once spent like this with his oldest children, exploring the lands and playing games when they still cherished his company. And silently he wondered if his younger children would enjoy their time with him as his two teenagers once had and would the eldest come to do so again.Snapped from his thoughts by the cub's question, he paused midstep, pale eyes turned to look at the small creature. Now how was he to answer that question? He of course knew the answer, when children grow they often leave home to start their own families and follow their own path. And though his own children had grown much faster than he had hoped, he knew that they too would do the same, an event he would never be prepared for.
But he couldn't give that answer to a cub, she was too young to understand or accept it.
"Well, I have cubs too, and we wouldn't all fit in the same den, but we do live close by." He was silent for a moment, tail flicking thoughtfully, "By the way, you never told me your name, mine is Juhudi."
