My friend's parnets are taking us. They are paying for everything.
Free trip, YAY!
Cool. Free trips are always nice. How long is the trip anyway?
I think its like 16-17 hours...
Not a very long trip in my book, but I guess long enough. Oh and since you are going to D.C. you may want to heed these tips.
1: If you are going to be driven through D.C., your trip will be over before it really starts. Traffic is horrible in D.C., you will need to walk to where you go, not to mention parking is expensive, it's like $10 for a few hours. Thankfully you won't have to pay.
2: People are idiots.... they drive like it too, they don't always heed the pedestrian crossing sign lights. So watch your step
3: With the all the new 9/11 security in place, some attractions will have you standing in line for quite a while, be prepared
4: If you need to get across the city quickly, start hoofing it
5: Take the metro into D.C., do not take a car or a bus. The reason goes back to #1.
6: Be careful where you go, some places in D.C. can be a bit shady, but they still aren't as bad as LA or New York
