He Who Knows, Experiences
Simon sighed, two bags of groceries in his arms. He had found a babysitter for Epi while he had gone to get groceries, so he was alone for once.
He decided to take the forest path home, and veered on to it, travelling at a caual pace, being in no hurry ot resume the insanity of his... reformed life. He also liked making the babysitter sweat a bit...
From among the trees Simon heard a growl, then a chorus of them. "Wolves?" he said aloud, being able ot recognize that sound in an instant. Before he knew it the pack of wolves was on him, hitting his vitals points and killing him quite quickly. They had been the cubs of the wolf he had burned previously.
However, sensing something amiss, the wolves scattered in a flurry, not sure why, but knowing something was about to happen.
This time a set of deities had been planning Simon's death. The spirits had kept the quickly dying cubs alive long enough to enact their revenge and bring Simon back to their realm. There had been a set of Twin deities that had wanted to bond with him before Epicurus had done so. They chose now that he had safely brought the other into the world to take him once more. He was aware of the happenings so when the bonding finished he just woke up-wearing a symbol somewhat like a yingyang around his neck. The wolves he would find dead scattered around if he looked, but right now he needed to get home. As soon as he felt the relic he would know what had happened.
Simon blinked, a familiar weight around his neck. "Oh.... no..." he muttered, gripping his head with one hand and touching a foreign object around his neck with the other. "I'm so screwed..." he muttered standing and waiting a moment ot gain his balance. Not only did he no longer have an groceries, but it looked as tough he would have another baby as well. In a worried sigh he hurried down the path, ignoring the wolves and destroyed groceries, determined to get back home and make sure that Epicurus was all right and to hopefully get a grasp on reality... again.
Sadly for him this would be a set of twins and he'd be getting a call from the Samadueanna when he got back home.
Simon said good bye to the baby sitter after paying her and shut the door behind her, leaning back against it. Epicrus sat on the floor looking strangely up at him, eyeing the relic with a sense of knowing and not knowing at the same time.
Suddenly the phone rang. On the other end was a very confused Rouge. "Hello, um Simon, this is Rouge from the samadueanna. We just got a funny note on our computer in regards to you."
Simon picked up the phone, surprised to hear Rogue's voice, "And I just got a funny little surprise around my neck."
"Yes that's what the note was about. It says you just became guardians to the deities of Essence as well as being guardian to the deity of Philosophy and Morality. It also mentions that you may need some monitary assistance which we can provide."
Simon leanedback against the wall with relief - for a few reasons. Now he knew who Epicurus was... And what they had just gotten him in to. "Yes, please... I can't work any with one child, let alone 3..."
"Well there's a huge difference between the value of Tison money and Gaian money so we'll provide you with more. You may want to move though. Your current location it says is in some sort of danger and it may not be big enough for the kids."
Simon raised his eyebrows, "Danger? I mean, yeah it's pretty small.... It's a condo.... But... Danger...?"
"yeah. I don't know what it means by that. Possibly something to do with city plans or whatever. Or some person after you. I don't really know. It doesn't seem to care"
He snorted into the phone, "Computers tend not to..." That's why he stayed away form them. Did his work the old fashioned way. "Well... I'll start looking around for a new home anyway. Put this one up for sale as well - Epi! Don't tug on that!" Epicurus has started to pull his leather breastplate from it's hanging on the wall. since it was quite heavy - and lined with metal - it could easily hurt the boy. He immediately stopped and looked up at simon, then crawled away to occupy himself with elsething.
"It refering to whatever keeps giving us this info."
"...Oh." He coughed slightly and nervously, then frowned at the mouthpiece. "Well... it should care. I care...!"
"Well anyway, we'll send down the money in a few. Seeya." Rouge said, hanging up. And jsut as she said in a few minutes a case appeared with a few million gold pieces in it.
Simon hung up the phone and blinked at the case. "Yeah... that should help," he said aloud, quite amazed at the amount of money in front of him.

Strange
Things couldn't be any stranger right now. I could take the one child - Epicurus isn't a problem. But now another relic? And twins!? I'm not sure how I got roped in to this, but I almost want out.
Not that that could happen...
I wonder how this has affected Epi. Since there are now three souls bonded to mine. Or how it will affect the twins.
And why am I in danger? I'm being forced ot move because of all of this. Honestly, I'm fond of my condo and my neighbors, as much of a pain as they can occasionally be... Luckily for me none of them have asked any strange questions, though they're curious as to why I have to move.
And the landlord is not happy about my breaking contract, but I told her is was an emercency and that I simply couldn't live there anymore, for her safety and for everyone else's. I have to pay a fee for breaking it, but she's not going to press charges.
Strange how you die and you life changes. For me... I died twice.

Dread...?
I'm almost dreading the coming of these twins... This babies is a LOT to handle for anyone, not to mention a guy who's never even dated a girl and never even begun to think about kids. I pray ot God that they won't be handfuls.
Hmm.... That statement is quite redundant. Can I pray ot God if I have a God in my house? Or am I praying to him? I'm not sure...
ANYway, I may have found a new house. It's in a completely different houseing area, but is an actual house with 3 bedrooms (the twins are going to have to share I think... At least for awhile) as well as an office that can be converted into one. It's pretty nice, but it's hard to believe I have to move from my condo...
Well, that's children for you!

Quiet Mystery
Simon, having just put Epicurus to bed, flopped down on his bed and fingered the amulet around his neck. It had been longer than two days... He knew what was coming, and knew it was coming soon. Any time he laid down to sleep he wondered where he would be carried, if at all. Last time it had been a library... This time...
With a small smile he glanced at Epicurus whose bed was among boxes that were filling with his possessions. It would be cramped for a little while, but not for too long.
Freeing his mind of these idle and dwindling thoughts, he pulled the sheet to his waist and he settled in for the night, quickly dozing off after an exhausting day of packing and taking care of Epi. As he slept, just as before, his soul floated above his body. At least he was expecting it this time and expected the strange door to be floating before him and knew what would happen when he opened it. So that was good.
Simon looked down at himself and smiled inwardly, then stepped toward the door and opened it as it drew him near with it's strange power. When he exited the door he found himself in a garden. It was floating on a platform and one of those spiraling ramps that connected the floating parts of the building that Epi had been found on was connecting it to the lower and upper platforms. And he could see, just above his head.........a very very Familiar library.
Before him was a young woman and a young man. Both were rather unearthly in appearance. Slender bodies-the male with black, the girl with white-and instead of hair, just long tendrils with color tips. The girl had red tips and the other blue. He wore a robe similar to that which Epi had worn, only it was black with silver lining instead of white black and gold. She however wore a robe identical to Epi's. She wore a similar headdress but he wore a dark version of it. They seemed to be part of some sort of order that he had been a part of. Either way these two must have been killed sometime around the time that he had if not just before. Had the killer just killed them and gone right up the stairs to get Epi?
But this time the murder weapon wasn't a book. The dark male had a red line around his neck that indicated he'd been beheaded. She was laying on a bench that she'd been seated on and he was laying before her. Through her chest was a strange sword with a rather unearthly blade. It seemed to have stuck there when she was killed. He...must have been protecting her when he died.
Simon peered around, looking up and finding it comforting and fmailiar, then back around at the garden. Its beauty amazed him, and he took a few steps forward ot get a better look around a nearby bush.
Before him was a sight tat spelled massacre to him somewhere in the back of his mind, and he crept closer to the two forms, both beautiful in their own right. There were definantly resemblences to Epicurus, which made imon wonder...
He moved closer and reached out to touch and trace the line upon the male's neck first, then run his fingers agasinst the flat of the blade until he made contact with her body...
Just as before the bodies started to glow-hers white and his black-as did the relic. It split in two to go into the bodies and cause them to shrink. And when the glowing stopped, there as before, were two adorable little babies. Neither had visible mouths but both were awake and looking around somewhat, the boy rubbing his eyes a bit and making a slightly unearthly cry from his invisible mouth.
Also, laying next to the girl, was the blade as well as three strange staves. They were similar in their own right. One was long and black and had been laying under the male. It had a large sapphire orb and silver detailings on it. The other had been beside her and unoticible. Her's was white with the gold detailing and a large red orb. The final one however was oddest. It was broken in half and she had most likely been repairing it. It was definately a different make then theirs. It was gold and curved at the top with a large white orb under one part of the curve and a black one under the second. Strange that these were there as well. He may have had to grab the twins with one arm and the weapons with another.
Simon bent and picked up one child in each arm and stared at the weapons a moment, seemingly comtemplating how to carry everything. He shifted the babies so they were both in his left arm and reached down to pick up all of the items that lay with them, though with a visable struggle in carrying evertying because of the oddity of the amount and size and shape of it all.
After he'd picked up those things the door let him go right through, back into his body where he was allowed to wake up without his arms full-the weapons now on the bedside table with the number of the ship and the babies on the bed yawning with their unseen mouths-that unearthly sounding kind of yawn.

Babies!
Oh my, Lydia and Daniel are babies now, and they're simply adorable! It seems that Daniel has a darker look to him, and that they completely contrast each other, and I can't help but wonder if that is relevent to the fact that they are the Gods of Essence...
But we are now in our new hom more or less, though there are still some boxes left at the condo. It seems that LYdia and Daniel are much happier here than there, since it was extremely crowded. However, they refuse ot have seperate bed rooms from each other. So we have an extra room... I might turn it into a play room for them...

Silence
I've been trying to get some sort of vocal reaction out of Lydia and Daniel, but neither seems to want to talk. I mean, sure, they don't have mouths, but I know they're capable - Daniel was crying when I woke up.
It worries me a bit, since Epicurus can get quite talkative when he so chooses - and that can get long-winded for a child his age. Granted, I found him in a library... But still. The fact that I haven't heard the twins say a single word is making me wonder if something's wrong, whether it be with me or them.
I think that once they meet some other children, maybe they'll talk a bit more. They don't talk to Epicurus, but he doesn't talk to them either, even when they all play together. I can tell that there's some sort of communication taking place by the way they interact - they're working together when building blocks, or playing a game. They're not simply reacting to each other's actions.
But I suppose it's not something to completely worry about. While they are children, they're reborn gods. They're not like human babies - there's no way to confuse them. I assume that eventually, everything will work out in the end. And besides, Epicurus is a bit older than them, and maybe once he's a bit bigger as well, he'll be able to coax them into speaking. Their relation has something to do with it, I'm sure, so I guess all there is to do in this case is wait.
Bringing them out to play with other children worries me, though. I don't want anything to happen to them (obviously!) but I fear that they won't be accepted as easily. Though, I suppose since they'll be playing with other gods, that shouldn't even be an issue on my mind. They all look different, and some more than others.
I'm going to give myself a headache, worrying like this, but the finish of the move and trying to get everything in order is making me stress a bit more than is healthy. My lack of work isn't helping to soothe that, either. Once Epi gets older, he might be able to watch the twins. Not quite so soon, of course, but eventually... Then I could get back to work. I need to find a babysitter that won't panic every time I call. That way I'll be able to at least get away every once in awhile to relax, even if it's not to get some work. (Though, a short-call baby-sitter would be great, so I could hire them if I got a short-notice job. But that's wishful thinking, probably.)
Well, I guess that's life. When things put ou into the throws of destiny, the only thing you can do is try to make some sense out of the resulting chaos.
