I actually lik riza its just I dont like her as much as some characters

Well, the thing about Riza is that she is there to protect Roy from his own stupidity. xp Seriously, though, she does realize that although Roy is quite capable of taking care of himself, he can't always take care of himself. She's one of his allies, his subordinates, one of the people who would do anything to push him to the top (like Hughes) so that they could see the military change for the greater good. Sure, she may seem goody-goody, but that's in the anime, and the anime tends to make her out of character in some parts. The manga does a better portrayal of Riza's character, showing her as a truly mature, I-don't-take-s**t sort of woman. The anime makes her seem to clingy to Roy, where as the manga does more development on her character as a person, and shows her when she's AWAY from Roy. It's also kind of like how the anime makes Winry more of a "stereotypical pretty girl for the fanboys" instead of the strong, quick-thinking woman that she is growing up to be.

On the subject of differences between manga and anime, Roy is also MUCH different in how he handles things. Sure, he still wants the women personnel of the military to wear miniskirts, but he doesn't let his past haunt him the way it does in the anime. Does that mean he's forgotten it? Nope, but he's not going to let it get in the way of his life, or his future. He's also much more mature. 3nodding Riza, although she does hang around with Roy, mostly does it to keep him on track, and to make sure he doesn't get himself killed. Just look up the manga scans on the 'net and you'll know what I'm talking about.

However, my only warning is that the story for the manga and the anime, although they are similar, end up being very different part way through. The manga just comes out as something better, though, because they cover more things that the anime doesn't.

Yeah, that was a little off topic, but I had to get that off my chest. You can hate Riza all you want, but it wouldn't hurt to see how different she is in the manga as opposed to the anime.

domokun I love RIza. SHe's one of my favorite characters. Her dog drives me insane every time I see it, it's so cute. XD


Yeah, everyone has their own opinions on what character they like. For instance, there are a lot of Envy fangirls/boys out there. There are also many, many, many people who hate him for what he did to Hughes.

*shrug* It's all a matter of opinion and taste.

i happen to be one of those people who dislike riza a lot sweatdrop i really dont know why, something about her just erks me, like her attitude or something. xp all the characters in fma are great, and i wont say i hate riza or that she is a horrible character, cuz she most definetly is not, im just saying i feel a feeling of annoyance when i see her sweatdrop

Well...like i said before I'm not a huge Riza fan...ah who's kidding i hate her >.< but still imagine if she wasn't in FMA...who would help Roy out those times Hughes isn't there? And who would we wish we were just so we could get cose to Roy with out haveing to have a sex change in the process?(Ment for girls only) I mean yeah sure we don't like her...but i bet you guys wish you could be her for certain reasons...like her aiming skills, how she bosses Roy around, how she can get close to Roy...
