I write a lot. I got a poem published in a compilation this year. When I turn the required age, I'm going to apply for a job at the library or a used bookstore.

I worked at a public library for about 2 1/2 year and i heart LOVED heart it!!! All I did was put childrens books away but it was great. I dont really know what was so enjoyable about it, probably the enviornment. Right now i am going to school for elementary education but i would really love to work in a library as a librarian.

Sorry I posted a repeat thread.. sad You can totally delete mine!
Anyway, I work at Waldenbooks at the mall nearby. I love it! I thought I'd be afraid of the cash register but that's actually the fun part. And I haven't used the 33% discount but I might tomorrow. Hmmm.. I wanna read one of those CSI novelizations. Wonder, do you think they'd be any good?

YomikoReadmanPaper I want to own my own bookshop/cafe/coffee house. Where people can shop for books or food. I have always wanted a little shop like that! Perhaps even have a florist section in it. That's a cute idea. I'm not old enough to work...but I volunteer at the school library. And my first job is going to be at a bookstore.

well, i would love to work in a library, but my mom isn't gonna let that happen, so i'm gonna be an editor. eventually, i will, of course, own my own private library in my huge house...i believe most of you have seen the library in beauty and the beast? yeah, that's mine...all mine...*fades into book bliss*

I'm going to have some time to kill next quarter between classes so I might see if I can work at the campus library during my four hours to kill between Global Politics and Medieval Europe. It'll be something to do and I won't be lounging in the game room with the card-playing geeks.

I've been looking into graduate schools and am seriously considering going on to someplace like Kent State for Library and Information Sciences. I guess the truth is that all I am good for is to be around books... ^^;;

I'm trying to get a job at Waldenbooks, but I don't know if that's going to work out. I would love to write for a living, but I dont know how good I am.

So I started volunteering at the public library last weekend. The good feeling is when you find books that have been mislabeled and you point it out to the librarians. The bad feeling is reading the shelves of the children's section for an hour straight. I was getting dizzy. Time for a change of scenery!
