Kei gradually slowed down as she neared the park's beydish. It was still relatively empty, and very quiet.
Well, this looks as great a start as any... the brunette thought, glancing around. She set her duffel bag down on the ground and began stretching. She wasn't planning on using her blade just yet; she wanted to get a bit of exercise in, too, and right now, she felt the urge to practice her tae kwon do.
After a few rounds of kicking and punching - but mostly kicking - an invisible opponent, Kei began her cooling down exercises, but only just enough. And then knelt by her bag and took out her blading equipment. As she brought them out, a small notebook fell out, too. Eh? Kei thought as she picked up the notebook and began to rifle through it. What's this - oh! The amethyst-eyed teen had found the last page written in...and there was a reminder about the summer break. She skimmed it, and then let out a soft chuckle. "Looks like I won't need to worry about asking for academic leave from the administration..." she muttered, shaking her head at her own forgetfulness; the summer break had officially begun yesterday, and she'd completely forgot.
"Oh, well...looks like I'll be calling Rina and the others later to tell them what I plan to do during the break..." Kei thought out loud, referring to her friends from school. Anyway, time to train...
The brunette walked over to the beydish, set the blade in her launcher, and began the silent countdown. 3...2...1...
"Hyaaaaaah!" With a strong yank on the ripcord, the crimson blade leapt from the launcher and into the dish, whirring sounds breaking through the silence of the girl's immediate surroundings.

In a quiet day with a clear blue sky Maria continued running with her blade.
The silence was then broken by battle cries like in her in one of her arts but she had only had a level up.
She decided to approach the person curios of what art they could be in, but when she reached there the battle cries were gone and was replaced by spinning beyblade.
She then stood at a place where she was unlikely to be seen and feeling tired stopped there to drink and pulled out a Gatorade.
It was a cute girl same age as her and with skills at her beyblade. Her beyblade then came back to her hands.
She watched the girl as she practiced while she rested at the girl’s right side far in the bushes.

“How about we go to the park? Maybe someone is there.” Hiro the said to Takao after he had finally finished his meal.

There was a barely audible thup! sound as Kei deftly caught her blood-red blade when it shot out of the dish. The brunette gazed thoughtfully at the bit chip - which was empty, as usual, yet glowed now with a soft pale red light, though visible only to her. Then she walked back to her duffel bag and rooted around for her water bottle.
Time for a water break... Kei thought as she brought out the container. And afterwards, I'll - eh?! Suddenly, she caught sight of a blonde-haired girl, watching her from the nearby bushes. So much for solitude...How long has she been standing there? the amethyst-eyed teen wondered.

Maria noticed she was spotted amused as she was sitting there a little while after she started beyblading resting drying her sweat and regaining her little stamina. The sound of beyblade interested her and signaled her of the limits of her own body. She could not stand up at first when she sat down with her tired feet that her adrenaline made her forget not aware of the pain. Soon she felt herself recovered and stood up a minute after she was spotted.
She felt herself energized then revieled herself fully with a smile walked to the brunette haired girl and introduced herself, “Nice to meet you. I’m sorry if I was watching you from afar. You see I heard you train a while ago then saw you blade. I stopped to watch a bit but I got tired and decided to rest.

"I...see." Kei forced a small smile upon her face. "Though I'm not sure why you'd want to watch me train; I've barely done anything yet as this is still a warm-up of sorts. Unless of course you're a blader, then its understandable why you'd be interested."
She tucked several strands of dark hair back into place; they'd been getting in her eyes. Might as well be cordial... Kei thought as she held out a hand. "Though the feeling is mutual - about meeting you, I mean - I don't believe either of us have made introductions. I'm Kei."

Max woke up to a fine morning a little later than he expected. As he headed down and was welcomed by the smell of freshly cooked noodles.
"Wow noodles my favorite. Good morning Dad."he said
"good morning Max." his father greeted , " By the way a guy named Hiro left you a message he said he has something important to tell you in person, but he didn't tell where or when."
"Thanks dad maybe Takao knows where he is. I'll go see if their in the park later." Max then replied. He then took the mayonaise and squirted it out to his noodles. Breaking his chopsticks into 2 he then said , "Itadakimasu."

Rei then woke up and received the same message and the same though, that they might meet at the park.

Takao stood up finishing his meal still with some rice on his face and said ," Yes I think they might be there. Though I'm not too sure about Kai, but I wonder where Daichi is."

Maria strenched her left arm to her right side with her right arm pulling it more to her right.
She then answered, "Oh yes. My name is Maria, Maria Sayka. Yes I'm also a beyblader. I'm interested in the upcoming tournament. Are you too?"

"Maria, huh?" Kei pocketed her blade for the time being, and dropped her arm back to her side. What happened to the handshake? Well, whatever... "That's a pretty nice name."
She stuffed both hands into the pockets of her jeans. "So you heard the announcement, too, eh? Yes, I'm interested. That's why I've begun training."
Kei took a deep breath. It was a good thing she'd left early; the temperature was only just beginning to rise and there was a cool breeze. So relaxing and calming. Truth be told, she didn't know what else to say to the blonde, what questions to ask, comments to give; she was drawing blanks in those areas. And it was making her uncomfortable, but she didn't show it. It certainly wouldn't do to make a bad first impression on someone she'd just met.

Max and Rei then met up at the park and greeted each other.
"Hey Rei"
"Hey Max. Heard the news about the tournament?"
"Yeah that would be nice not to have restrictions , but I think some will stay with their current teams. Who do plan to team up with?"
" I don't know yet. Some teams will either be missing some people or scattered. My concern for now is the message Hiro left. He sounded serious."
"Yeah me too. Do you think Tyson and Kai will come by the park?"
"Maybe Let's walk around and see."
They then walked along.

Without turning his head, Kai glanced left and right. The park seemed practically empty; what was he doing here?
The slate-haired teen heaved an inaudible sigh as he traversed one of the many paths laid in stone throughout the huge patch of green meadow, misplaced within the confines of cement structures and technology. In truth, Kai knew what he was doing here; he just had a feeling that Hiro would want to meet them here, in the park. Tyson's older brother always set up meetings in the park, and there was certainly no reason to change; this place was the perfect meeting spot, especially on quiet, early mornings.
Still, he wondered what the news could be. Hiro Granger had sounded extremely serious on the phone...

Hiro and Takao then arrived at the park where he usually held these meetings. Walking around he spotted Max and Rei.

"I was training as well. umm." she said then with hesitation continued, "After a few minutes and you watch me warm up. Would you?"
She then placed her right palm over her left fist and giving a small bow with the head a sign of a battle chalendge.
"Would you prefer martial arts or beyblading?" Maria then continued with a smile in her face.

"Hey What's with the important message you called us for." Rei said getting right to the point.

Kei gave a small smile, and then returned the gesture in kind. "I would say... martial arts, if that's all right with you."
If circumstances were different, she would have chosen a Beybattle. However, knowing that the blonde girl was also joining this year's tournament made her cautious; who was to say that they'd be on the same team?

Kai rounded a bend in the path - where a huge bush had been blocking his view - and nearly stumbled upon Max, Tyson, Rei, and Hiro.
Great... the slate-haired teen thought. Here we go, the huge 'announcement'... Of course, he wouldn't announce his arrival just yet; it wasn't his style. Let the others notice him; otherwise, he'd have no choice but to make a snide comment of some sort - something he enjoyed doing every once in a while.

Takao saw Kai and greeted him. "Hey Kai."
He then faced his brother and said, "Everyone's here. Daichi should be somewhere and he wouldn't probably get it anyway. Come on spill the beans."
