Oh Saitou and Misao are my favorite characters. My mom is also into the series (and the reason I can aford the Kenshin merchandise I have ^_^) and wonders how I like Saitou. I shake my head and tell her, "I just do."

Saito is a rather interesting character to be sure. When I was reading the history book Shinsengumi I was excited to read about the real Saito. My only disappointment with the book was that there wasn't more details about the rest of the Wolves of Mibu apart from the corps' leaders.

I like comparing the Rurouni Kenshin Saitou and the one from Peacemaker. I personally prefer the RK one because he seems more evil, but it's fun to look at the differences.

Peacemaker Saito is funny and I like how they had the whole storyline with him, Okita and Hijikata
but yeah RK Saitou is better biggrin

Aoshi would beat Saito. I seriously think that Saito wouldn't stand a chance against Aoshi.

I simply love Saito in what ever he appears in. PMK, RK, Kaze Hikaru, and oh have you ever seen the NHK drama "Shinsengumi"? I saw a clip of him from it and WOW... Just WOW! Still I think I like the R.K. version the best, but not by much.
Seriously I pretty much focus entirely on him when I'm reading.

I love Saito, becasue he knows who and what he is and what he is capable of. If taken in the contexts of their respective fights with Kenshin, then Saito would definitely win in the Saito v. Aoshi duel.

I hear that, I like the character cuz he seems cool and collected. You won't see him acting weird or silly in any of the original stories. I wonder if any fanfiction writer has had Saitou acting silly or alike... neutral

I'm with Jade but I doubt Aoshi will make things easy for Saitou. I don't think he could win without breaking a sweat. You know? Especially not after training as much as he did and he left Kenshin really bruised (not to mention cut) before his fight with Shishio.

Saitou can win, but he needs to be fast. He can win in one blow, but if he don't do that...........
