Nodding his head, Tony found himself both agreeing with Dodger's logic and wondering why other Soquilis didn't try that. Trying to make someone else mad just so you could call them mean was NOT nice, nor was being mean to them just cause of how they looked.
But that was enough of THAT unpleasant subject. Folding back his wings, Antony looked about the area curiously, then back at the other colt. "So, Dodger, d'you live around here too?"

He nodded and turned his head back toward the trees. "We live by the ... lake? Yea that's what they called it." He had to make sure he was using the right word before he confirmed it. "Mama likes the water." And there was the two leggers but Mama only trusted them so much. At least they didn't try to do anything funny.
"Lots of food around too, cept Wylie likes to roll around in it and mess it all up." He huffed slightly at the though of rolling around in the dirt like his brother did.

The lake... "That's the really huge pool of water, right? We live up the river from it, in the woods cause Mama REALLY hates being around other Soquilis. Not a whole lot of food there, but Papa brings stuff when he happens to be around, and Mama lets us go looking for food when Papa's not. And is Wylie your brother?"
Wylie was a neat name.

"She should be more friendly then maybe others wouldn't be afraid of her." he nodded. That made sense. If you wanted others to not be afraid you had to give them reason not to be. Then again maybe she liked it that way?
"Yea, he's dumb." Maybe that wasn't the right word but he defiantly thought his brother did stupid things. Like rolling around in the dirt or running around for no reason or asking Dah a million questions that had no point.

"Maybe; Papa says being 'ntisocial is part of her charm, though...whatever that means. And that's cool. You got any other brothers, or sisters? I've got one of each, but my sister's pretty dumb." As all girls seemed to be, although from the sound of it Dodger didn't care that much for his brother. Or maybe Dodger just had a really bothersome brother? Anything was possible, really.

"I have one of each too." He nodded and flicked is tail slightly. "Brother's dumb i like my sister though. She's smart even if she gets in the way some times."
She wasn't as hyper as Wylie was but she did so stupid stuff too. She was like Mama though and that was good. "You're mama sounds .... interesting."

"Well, maybe your sister's not as annoying as mine. My brother's pretty cool, though." It was funny to think of a circumstance where a sister would be more desirable than a brother, though. Then again, sometimes some people were more annoying than others, right?
At the comment bout his mother, Antony smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head with a wing, unsure of how to answer that. "She's sure different, I guess...but she's my Mama, and she loves us, so that's good. Kinda what Mamas are supposed to do, right?"
Even if, in his case, that love came with periods of insanity and occassional violence directed at just about anything.

"Guess it depends on who they are if they're fun or not." His brother sucked but Tony's seemed to be better. Maybe it was just his brother that sucked?
"Mama's are suppose to be like that. They have to love ya." He loved his Mama and Dah and he knew they loved him even if they got mad some times. If they didn't then he'd never learn anything right?

"I suppose. But you know, I bet that there might be some Mamas out there who DON'T love their kids. Cause how else do there get to be abandoned baskets, do you suppose?"
That was something he'd heard his father mention before, the sad trend of baskets being abandoned in the woods. And what kind of Mama or Papa would just leave their kid out all alone if they really loved them? "It kinda makes me sad, though; cause you know, EVERYONE should have a Mama and Papa, you know?"
Otherwise, there'd be no BALANCE!

He thought about the two creep mares that hung around the camp. They didn't have Mama's or Dah's and they'd turned out really weird. "Those two creepy ones ... they're like that."
It was a little sad when he thought about it but maybe there was a reason. He couldn't think Mama's or Dah's would want to just give up their children. Not with the way his own Mama was so protective of them.

The creepy ones again...actually, that sounded like a really fun thing to see. He'd never seen anyone that was creepy before, and they sounded neat. Mama might not like them, though, if Dodger's Mama didn't...but maybe then she would, since his Mama was different.
That was sad that they had no Mamas and Papas, though. Who taught them stuff then?

"Normal stuff i guess." His nose scrunched as he though about it. "One doesn't talk at all though." The white and black one hadn't ever said a word the whole time he'd known her. The black one did though. She seemed pretty normal except for that she slept funny. Mama said it was wrong but he didn't know why.
"I think since they don't know what they're missin they are fine without it." If you never knew what a Mama or Dah was then you couldn't think you were weird right? But maybe they did know since they knew his Mama and Dah.

"Huh...maybe she never learned to talk without having parents around?" That might make sense; he figured that he'd learned to talk from his parents, since he'd been able to hear them even before he came out of his basket. Maybe that was an important element of parents, teaching basic skills?
Dodger might have had a point with them not knowing what they were missing, but it was still sad. "I'm glad I've actually GOT parents, though."

"But her sister talks fine." He shook his head and wiggled slightly. "I think she's just weird. Mama says there's something wrong about them but won't tell us what." She said that she'd tell them when they were older and could understand better but he wanted to know now.
"I'm glad i have'em too. It wouldn't be as fun if i didnt have Mama to look out for me or Dah around." With how much his Mama loved them he didn't think she'd ever go away.

He'd been told that if he went off by himself things could happen to him, like someone could hurt him or something. Of course, nothing had happened to him like that in the course of his wanderings, but he'd been bigger than a basket by the time he started going off on his own. "Or maybe she got sun-baked? That could make you act funny."
