Amoena fell silent simply listening to Safi for the time. There was no point interrupting him she had nothing useful to say. So she listened allowing his words to mingle with her current thoughts. It was Shadow then, that's what wasn't right? It was only her hatred for Shadow that he didn't think was good. That didn't bode well for her after all she used that hate to keep her strength together. It was her fuel and without it she didn't know what she could use.
Her father? She lifted her head and looked directly at Safi brought from her own head back to reality. She didn't know what that had to do with Shadow but it certainly was a change of pace. "A while ago we met for a bit...and I guess I did want to..." Her voice trailed off trying to remember those days quite a while ago. What had stopped her? She wanted to say it was Shadow but that wasn't right, she simply hadn't gone. "I sort of thought he'd come find me if he wanted to see me again..." Was that right? She didn't know for sure it sounded right but she had no idea if that had been why she hadn't gone.

Somehow, Safi wasn't terribly shocked at Amoena's reasoning; in its own way, it made sense, just as much sense as Kohana's reasoning had. However, he had to put one thing straight.
"Kohana DOES care about you, Amey. It's just...well, things got complicated when Shadow came back on the scene, and Kohana didn't think that it was his place to intrude. He's never been pleased with this whole...situation, Amey, and I KNOW he'd like to see you."
A meeting long past due, regardless, though he had no idea how it would go. But then, Kohana was much less energetic than he himself was, so that ought to work out well enough...if Amoena was willing, and Kohana stuck to his guns. But even if they didn't, he could help! Somehow.

Sky blue eyes widened slightly before a small smile fell over Amoena's face. So her father had about the same views on Shadow as she did. Somehow that made her feel closer to him already. "If he wants to see me...then what exactly are we waiting for?" She asked an unexplainable warmth radiating from her heart. It had been a long time, maybe too long since she had seen her father or brother. Just hearing that he still cared about her made her feel wanted.
Maybe now she'd have a real family, the kind that Ayden had. Sure she had Safi who was like a dad but it wasn't the same especially since she knew her real dad was still out there.
Maybe this was exactly what she needed to make Safi happy with her. There was a chance that maybe meeting him would give her a new fuel to use and maybe she could stay with him instead of her mom. She loved her mom and all but she needed a break. Taking care of her was hard and with Shadow around it was harder. "Do you think...he might let me stay with him for a while?"

Somehow, Safi had a feeling that the reasons Kohana avoided Luna and Shadow were different than the reasons Amoena disliked Shadow...but he'd let Kohana fill in the details. After all, that was his step to take, right?
Smiling, he gave Amey a nuzzle. "I'm pretty sure he'd love that. Now that Kwahu is grown, he's not around as much, and Koho could likely do with the company. Besides, I'd say you gusy have a bit of catch-up to do, don't you?" That with a conspiratorial wink at his neice before nodding slightly in the direction of Ayden and Sai. "I think we can see about tracking your dad down, but first...maybe you ought to do something about your brother? You mother might miss him if we took him with us."

The thought thrilled her but she managed to keep her excitement inside. A break, a vacation of a sort with her dad, that seemed to be exactly what she needed right now. Do some of that soul searching, finding yourself that Safi was talking about. Though right now she did need to take her brother home. "Miss him...go on a rampage..tear apart the village looking for him. Something like that." Still hiding her excitement as best she could. After everything Safi had told her earlier she knew she should be at least a little sad but it had been so long since she had seen her father. It didn't seem like anything else really mattered.
With a flick of her long tail she marched over to where the two spotted ones were playing. "Ayden." She said a bit sharply taking her guise a bit too far. Realising this she softened her voice and stepped in front of him lowering her head. "Come on, it's time to head home. Momma must be missing you." She looked behind him to Saiena making sure she wasn't gonna try anything. She didn't really think she would but it never hurt to check.
"But...it's only been a little..." Ayden said in protest. He wanted to play a bit more but there was definitely something up with his sister. He wasn't sure if it was good or bad but there was a strange gleam in her eyes and he didn't want to test her. "I come play again kay?" He said looking back to Sai before ducking under his sisters legs using her as a shield. He didn't really want to leave but it was probably for the best.

Glancing from Amoena to Ayden, Saiena gave a smile and a nod to the colt in response to his question. "Of course we shall; We're friends now, aren't we?" Regardless of what his sister might think, they were friends. "Until next time, Ayden!"
Smiling, Safi nosed at Saiena to come along with him, then gave Amoena a wink. "We'll go slowly; catch up as you can, ok?" He'd send Sai on ahead; she knew where she was going, after all, and for this meeting...it would probably be best for Amoena and Kohana to have their reunion privately.

Ayden grinned nodding excitedly. "Yeah! See you soon!" He had a friend! He finally had a friend, someone who wasn't part of his family. Well, she kind of was but not really! It was absolutely perfect. He darted out from under his sisters legs to do a bit of a happy dance around Ame's legs.
Amoena nodded at Safi before glancing down at her half brother. She laughed shaking her head before galloping off. "Come on Ayden, I'll race you!" It was best to make this a game for him no reason to let him know why she was really in a rush. She didn't want him to worry when she left again to go find her Uncle. She didn't even know if she'd tell her mom it seemed almost better that they didn't know. She looked over her shoulder to see the lowly fading form of her uncle. She needed to hurry and so she would. After all, it wasn't every day she had the chance to find her father.
