The bloodied harlequin nodded fervently. "I'll come back, Nyx, I promise. As soon as I can. I have to meet Sol, and tell you what the hook was about, and help look for Katie-nana - I won't forget the way. I hope...that you're as happy as you deserve to be."
And with that, she turned and bounded away through the trees. Couldn't stay long here, not with the storm overhead - who knew what terrors could befall her if the lightning struck? She had to get through here, had to get to the source of the tugging. There was something there, she felt sure. Something vital. Something...alive.
Whatever it was, it needed her help.
As she crashed through the undergrowth, slowly gathering speed, Colleen wished desperately that she might have the strength to rescue it.

Nyx watched the elegantly build Nequus as she bounded away, a slight smile on her orange lips. "Goodbye Colleen," she called, "I am sure I shall be happy, I generally am. Good luck to you!" It wasn't long before the trees swallowed the chequered-legged female and the Aeri moved to depart the immediate area in her turn.
Rain or shine she knew her lands well and it didn't take more than a moment of squinting to get her bearings and set off at a trot through the downpour for the area that Sol seemed to favour. If the Ichsa had any brains at all, and she knew he did, he wouldn't be in the river right now but he might be nearby. It was as good a place to begin her search in any case; the sooner she found the warrior and told him about the Rit named Kati the better.
Snorting to herself, Nyx leapt into a canter, eyes squinted against the rain and wind, and was swallowed by the gloom.
