Thanks for agreeing. I really can't see how you can say that and with no shame. It isn't like Lana was that bad of a person either. Still, no mother should have to lose their child, no matter what they did. It is just a terrible thing to wish someone would lose their child. I have no respect for people who say such things, I really don't.

SaberFireTiger Ryusuke Mitsurugi YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! THERE IS A GOD!!!! I have been waiting and praying that she would have a miscarriage and it has happened!! Whew... Pedro does make your dreams come true.... blaugh mrgreen My god you are heartless. You shouldn't thank god for someone having a miscarraige no matter if they are fictional or not. Losing your child is about the worst thing that can ever happen to anyone. I do not fricken care if anyone says that I am being harsh, unjust or whatever about calling him heartless. I DO NOT CARE. Actually, I totally agree with you. And one of the reasons I'm so angry with the producers for setting in motion this ridiculous storyline, which has so far accomplished nothing (and whatever it does finally accomplish could probably have been achieved through a different storyarc) is the fact that it just continues to victimise Lana as a character. The worst thing is that in a year, she'll probably have forgotten she was ever pregnant, which just trivialises the entire issue, because the writers don't want to deal with the realistic impact this would have on her character. Don't believe me? Look at how Clark's characterised re: Jonathan's death. Either way, I wouldn't wish for rape on a fictional character; I'm not going to wish for miscarriage or death on her either.

miscarriages hurt so many people. My mother's best friend had a miscarriage. Its not something that passes you lightly when you actually love the child and want the child. Which it was in Lana's case, where although the baby was unexpected, Lana had EVERY intention of keeping and raising the baby.

*wonders if Haley will have her baby on One tree hill*
Smallville was always full of drama, except for like Justice. Omg, do you think there is a connection between Lana and the level of drama?

XD
I think there is a connection between the target audience and the level of drama. Instead of targeting it at the comic book fans and the people who'd watch Heroes, it's always been targeted at, well, teenage girls.

Though, the initial reason I wanted to watch smallville was because of the premise of Clark Kent before becoming Superman.

SaberFireTiger It has worked. Though, the initial reason I wanted to watch smallville was because of the premise of Clark Kent before becoming Superman. That's the reason I wanted to watch, and I think that's the reason a lot of people got into it. It's a fantastic premise, it's just that the show's been increasingly mired down in all this teen drama that just holds back meaningful character development and interesting storylines. It's worked to an extent, but there's a reason the ratings have dropped off between season one and season six. Drama stagnates.

@Zach - Yeah I like Smallville more than Buffy.
The drama thing was one of the reasons a lot of people disliked Superman Returns, not enough action. I liked it but if watch it my dad leaves the room to find something more interesting cause he hates that stuff. But I don't want a lot of stupid action either, like Casino Royale. Worst James Bond movie ever.
Thing is, I don't watch Smallville for the reason I wanted to back then. Now I watch for the drama and episodes like Justice which I would have loved years back kinda bored me now.

I liked it but if watch it my dad leaves the room to find something more interesting cause he hates that stuff. But I don't want a lot of stupid action either, like Casino Royale. Worst James Bond movie ever. I haven't actually seen Casino Royale (or that many Bond movies). I should have my British citizenship revoked. neutral The drama wasn't what I disliked about Superman Returns, or even really Smallville. It's the way the drama's executed that irks. In Superman Returns, Richard came off looking better than Clark and Lois did. Not because of the "almost kiss" (I mean, come on), but because Clark left Lois without saying goodbye when he supposedly loved her, which it seems fair to assume Richard wouldn't do, and because there's all this ambiguity about what Lois did and didn't know, and what she did and didn't tell Richard about Jason's paternity. I think the real problem is that Lex's EV0L SCH3M3™ was just boring. I had to fast-forward most of the Lex scenes when I watched it again, which is depressing because I think Lex Luthor is a great villain and Kevin Spacey is a great actor. SaberFireTiger Thing is, I don't watch Smallville for the reason I wanted to back then. Now I watch for the drama and episodes like Justice which I would have loved years back kinda bored me now. I don't think the premise of Justice - superheroes get together for action-packed episode - was boring, although I don't usually like superhero team-ups. I think the writing was just weak and the whole thing again was poorly executed. That's why I didn't really like it.
