Ange Gothique Finally a new album do they sound more like rock or hip-hop?? why would they change the sound they're known for? that defies logic Read my analogies of the Album. Just my opinions and theories on why it's what it is. Or at least, the version of the album I have surprised (Which no one has asked for yet, weirdly o.o).

What I don't get is how they went from Qwerty to "WTF mate?". I actually felt good about the new album when I heard Qwerty.
For lack of a better band, LP should take a few pointers from Taking Back Sunday and keep to the same s**t and just change it slightly each time. Whether you like TBS or not, you have to give it to them. 3 albums doing the same old thing and they're still pretty damn successful.

i'm just a little sad about them changing their style. They were so good before. And i wish it wasn't explicit so i could play it full blast. I'm sure the new album will be awesome, but i'm gonna miss the old style. Goodbye hybrid theory neutral

Well I guess I'm a bit dissapointed about their 'new style', but I wouldn't go downright judging it yet! I think you guys are being a bit too harsh when really only one song has been released so far. Despite from what they say, they are Linkin Park, they obviously will be keeping things the same, there will be a sense of their style. They said they were using hip-hop beats still, mixed with a lot, and that's how they were before, but obviously it'll still be different.
Why would you want a band that sounds completely the same on all their albums too? I think a change would be nice. I'm sure they could make a million songs like In The End, but would you really want something so similiar?
I know you all have your opinions and expectations on this, but all I'm saying is keep an open-mind, don't have any expectations for it and then I think you will be much more pleased.

I am a little disappointed that they are changing their style. Their unique sound is what drew me to them. I did watch the vid and have relistened to the song and its very reminiscent of U2,another band I dig. I am not counting this album out quite yet. Bands are always changing, making their sound different, stretching their boundries.
I just don't want it to sound like all the other mellow, emo-ish bands that are out there. neutral
