Kianga looked at him, but as he narrowed his eyes she stepped back, looking down sadly.
What was she doing? Even if he was apart of her family...could she really go back?
She then sighed heavily.
"...I don't expect you to believe me...and...you don't have too...but I personally think that if mother and father where here, they'd be very proud in their grandson." She said weakly, tears running down the older females cheeks.
As the cub awoke, her ears perked up and she smiled weakly.
"I'm sorry...I made you wake him..." She said, her voice sounded so fragile.

Zeki yawned again and rolled around in his father's paws, looking up at the other female, smiling softly. Though Zeki shared his father's fur, the rest of him derived from the rest of the family. The tail looked like another lion's of the family, rumored to go by the name Malik. His eyes and facial features were that of his Great Uncle Mufasa where as his markings are of his own. Zeki's crimson eyes glanced from his father and to the female.
"Hello, miss, why are you crying?" he purred softly as he stepped from his father's protection. "Someone as beautiful as you shouldn't cry, it just makes it harder to look at your pretty features."
Ger sighed, Zeki was always doing this, especially to the girls. Maybe leaving him around his brother was not the best idea... then again, Zeki had met most of his uncles already. The father watched with watchful eyes as the two spoke. He needed this time to think to himself, is this 'Kianga' truely related to them?
"Zeki, please do not bother her too much. Respect your elders."

The female watched the golden cub, ears aimed toward him as she stood there and looked over the two males.
One the father and the other, his kind little son.
She smiled weakly at the cub, eyelashes batting away most of her tears as she trembled a little.
"Thank you for your kind words, little one." She said weakly, voice shaking slightly before she lay down and looked over to the older male.
Brows furrowed upwards as she sighed softly, laying there as she tried to think over all what she'd been told or figured out.
"If I'd know my sister had any cubs...or...or was even pregnant...I...I might've done something." She said, on the verge of more tears.

"If it's any constellation, I hardly saw my mother much at all when I was a cub. But when I went away, I never saw her. Even to this day I have yet to... I wish to see her again and perhaps show her her grandson," he sighed and moved a bit closer to the female. She needed someone right now and he was there was to offer at the moment and his son of course. "Kianga, maybe you would like to come back home with us. To Pride Rock?"
Zeki purred and seemed to bounce in place. "Yeah! Yeah! Then we can all play together and do stuff. At least, when Dad and I are around. We go places a lot so we leave some times."
"True, we leave once in a while. After all, someone has to watch over my step-brothers. Besides, Zeki likes to spend time with them as they do with him. After all, he is our only cub in my father's side of the family from this generation."
Zeki and Ger looked at her with almost pleading and comforting eyes.
"Will you come back with us?"

Kianga watched the two, looking almost suprised as they spoke all the while laying there in a relaxed manner trying to mentally sort out the fact there was a part of her family she'd never known about.
God help her when she found out there was a lot more of her family she didn't know about.
However, as they asked her to return she glanced up at the looming figure of Pride Rock and furrowed her brows.
A sadness coming to her eyes before she looked down at the ground.
"I'm sorry...I...I can't..." She said, sounding all the more weak.

"But-"
"Zeki, don't," Ger interjected. He looked at Kianga and smiled. "It's understandable. You don't have to, I thought maybe I could have another to fall back on when I go to visit the queen tomorrow. I am a bit worried what will happen. I don't really quite know, Her Majesty."
Zeki looked at the two and moved to his father's back then to his head. "So we are going somewhere tomorrow?" Ger nodded. "Yay!"
"Aunt Kianga, thank you... I mean, for talking with me. At least now you know you have nephews."

The older lioness smiled weakly at her new found nephew and his son, unconciously she wondered how her cubs where doing...did they even know that their mother abandoned them?
...no...no they didn't and that was probably for the best.
She then sat up, pushing herself up with her forelegs and then looked at Ger, smile growing more so.
"I'm very happy to know I have more members of my family...especially one as kind hearted as you." She said happily, eyes wandering over to look at Pride Rock as she sat there.
She then flinched and turned back to look at Ger.
"Someday I'll be ready to go back...but for now I need some time."

"Alright. Tomorrow I will go see her. I just hope... best now jinx it. I just wished mother was here to be with us. I have not seen her in a long time."
"Grandmother Jahazara is always around! She's just sleeping up at Pride Rock, just like you said, right?" Zeki spoke up, pawing at his father.
"Yes, of course. She must be there. She was quite ill when I was born so she must still be recovering. Best hope we get to see her one day, son. After all, she would want to know that she has a runt like you for a nephew," Ger laughed and raised to his feet with slightest ease. He looked up at his son and then to his aunt. Smiling, "I hope one day, you return to the Pride Landers. Let your pride be your guide, it will never steer you wrong. Good-bye for now, Aunt Kianga."
Zeki waved a paw as his father began to turn to leave. "Bye-bye Aunty Kianga!" he called back before settling down against his father's mane. "That's one of the five, right Dad? There are five of them? Grandmother Jahazara and Aunty Kianga. Will we find the rest of them?"
"One day... we will bring the family back again... one day."
