"Though it has potential to be much more than that." Yunalesca laughed for a moment at yet another thought popping into her head.
"So knowing doesn't mean as much to you as being told. I guess it'd work the same way with me, especially if it was from someone I cared about. If they tell you, then you're likely to get their take on the subject, too. Which can be, in the end, the best part of it."
Her eyes darted around, attempting to catch with her eyes what she had. But before he grabbed it, she was unable to catch sight of the small creature. "Then again, you could be wrong." Her gaze shifted to his hands, then back to his eyes before moving once again to his hands. It was a beautiful butterfly -one that she would probably only see once before it left them forever. This time, she found herself able to watch it as it spiraled up into the air before disappearing.

"Well, they have the same worth, but in the end what people have told me is more valuable. Let's say... as horrible a thought as it is, that someone very dear to you got severely hurt or even died. Now I could hear this news from someone else and simply feel sorry for your loss, or I can hear it from you and all in that instant; know how you're feeling and dealing with the issue, if there's something I can do, and of course then since we're in person I can help you by doing whatever action might help, or even if it's simply by comforting a friend in need."
"Well, of course I could be wrong. But I'm not." He stated simply as he shrugged, his grin almost daring her to to pick a fight over such a topic.

"You're most definitely right with that comment."
"I understand what you mean. And don't worry, it's a good example. I don't mind you using it. Though I would hope that you'd try to comfort me in such a situation even if I was not the one telling you about it." She smiled, knowing that he probably would ask her about it if something along those lines ever did present itself.
"Fine, if you say so." She returned the smile, temporarily giving in to his own dare instead of pursuing it. Which she most definitely could have.

"Well, of course I would comfort you anyways, but... well, that's not the point." He resisted the urge to stick his tongue out at the girl in a playful act, but he wasn't sure how well she would take such a thing. Being a more closed-in person, he wasn't very open with himself and things he could do in front of others... yet.
"And I do say so," He said to finalize the statement. Suddenly standing up, he placed his sword back where it belonged before offering his arm to Yunalesca.
"Would you do me the honour of accompanying me for some ice-cream?" He smiled.

"Yes, I know what you meant." She nodded with a solemn smile. Luckily, she'd been merely speaking hypothetically, and not believing that he wouldn't comfort her unless she was the one speaking with him. She was perceptive enough to understand that, at least.
"Thank you, once again." She allowed him to help her up by taking his arm and standing up from her seated position on the bench.
"No, not at all. I'd be delighted to, actually." The smile stayed on her face as she accepted his offer for ice cream.

What a funny thought, a soon-to-be samurai and a magic mistress going out for ice-cream together. Oh how the times have changed, or rather worlds. Before he had met his 'guardian' and family he had only imagined days like these. He was definitely in someones debt for bringing him here.
The two were still linked together as they left the bench behind and headed for the town together. The simply action left his cheeks a light rosy red, of course he would never admit such a thing happened. Samurai's kept their composure in all situations.
"Well that's wonderful, because I happen to know the best ice-cream shop in all of Traverse Town," Of course, ignoring the fact that there was only one ice cream shop.

The so-called 'Mistress' had no problem with the absurdity of the combination of all three things.
She kept the link between them up as they walked toward the shop, allowing the samurai to lead the way. Her own face had a much larger blush on it than it had had before, but she continued looking in different directions until she thought that it had completely disappeared from her face.
"Oh, really? Don't hesitate, then. Lead on, Mitsurugi." She smiled, knowing full well that only one ice cream shop was in Traverse town. It'd almost been a year, after all.

As they started to walk past shops and vendors he turned them down the road that lead to the ice-cream shop.
"As you wish," He said with a slight head nod and a grin.
It didn't take long for the familiar sign to come into view.

She only allowed herself to look at one or two shops as they passed by. He was leading the way, so she didn't have to worry about getting herself to the ice cream shop.
She smiled lightly, and amplified it once she'd seen the sign. "That was so fast! You're very good at finding your way around, and I commend you for it."

Turning to look at Yunalesca, a smile broke out on his face from her words. "Why thank you," Compliments from magic users generally meant a lot, they were usually more skilled than him in some areas, this being one that might have been one.
As they reached the store, he briskly moved to grab the door and hold it open for Yunalesca, "After you."

Though she didn't know of his high respect for compliments from mages and others who used magic, she felt very happy upon seeing his smile and hearing his gratitude. "Your very welcome."
Yunalesca walked in through the open door before waiting for him right inside the door. "Thank you very much." She turned to him as she spoke.

As soon as she was through and waiting for him, his hand let go of the door as he walked in. "Don't mention it," He said with a hapy tone. He felt that he was doing very well with Yuna, considering how some of his other encounters with people have gone downhill.
He reached into his pocket and took out enough money for two ice cream cones and placed it in the counter. He knew what he wanted to get, but he wasn't going to order his choice before Yuna did, that was rude and just not done.

She continued moving deeper into the store when she was sure he was inside, as well."I probably will anyway." Even if he told her not to, she could never help herself.
It was good that he was being chivalrous and paying for her -she hadn't brought any money along with her. Yunalesca looked to him, silently asking if she could order. Once she was sure, she did. "May I have a vanilla cone, if you please?"

Mitsurugi smiled and nodded before turning to the man at the counter, "We'll be having one vanilla and one chocolate-vanilla swirl please."
After he received and paid for their ice-cream he turned to Yunalesca and handed her hers. "Here you go." He said before wrapping a napkin around the bottom of the cone and smiled. Perfection. If there was one thing about his family, it was that they had a weird thing about loving ice-cream.
"So, anything new and exciting in your days?" He asked.

Yunalesca smiled up to the man handling the counter as Mitsu ordered their ice creams.
When Mitsurugi gave her the cone, she held it with both hands to make sure that she wouldn't drop it. However, this would probably prove to be very messy unless she was able to watch exactly what she was doing. "Thank you very much." She found herself thanking him for so many things. Was that normal?
"Nothing new since we saw each other last, actually." Well, not particularly, anyway. "I... I'm technically a year old now." How very much had happened to her in one year. Three siblings, so many friends, and more mishaps than she could count. But it was fun, to say the least.
