I didn't like it when they put Amber Benson's name in the opening credits in "Seeing Red" only then to have her charatcer killed off gonk . I know that doesn't really have anything to do with character's death but oh well! biggrin

Anya had to be the saddest. I mean I was sad when Spike died but I knew he was gonig to unlike Anya I wasn't expecting that all and the way she died.....so sad but the saddest death of the whole show for me was Tara's.

Anyas death really bugged me and made me really sad because I knew she wasnt coming back on the show at all. Spike on the other hand was going to be revived so it seemed less sad ya know?

For some reason, i didn't cry and i wasn't really sad when Spike died...Maybe I was in shock. Or maybe i knew somehow he was gonna be back.
Anya's death was a big surprise. I think I gasped or something when I saw it happen. I was saddened by it.

Id say Joyce and Tara because they were so unexpected and close to home. Other deaths were from supernatural things. But Joyce had a brain anerism (sp?) and it was just so insanely sad the way Sarah Gellar played the part of losing her mom. I swear I cried sooo much during that episode it wasnt funny. It could really happen to anyone and thats why it was so powerful.
As for Tara, who was the sweetest person ever on that series, it was real too. It could happen to anyone. But what really made it sad was her last words "Your shirt.." it was like the last thing she thought of was feeling bad for willow getting her shirt dirty. Gawd I cried after that too.
In my personal opinion no ones death (including angels altho that was sad at the time..poor buffy) compares to those. Those were the most powerful and heart wrenching ones to me.

For Buffy mine was Anya, Joyce, and Angel ( Back in season 2 when Buffy sent him to hell) they just hit me as being such horrible tragedies.
For Angel, mine was Wesley. I cried so much on the finale episode when he died, I really didn't think he would die.

It made me cry how sweet Illyria was to turn into Fred for him and talk to him. Kinda to make amends in a way. That was a very good scene.

On the very last episode, Anya's death was more sad. I knew Spike was headed to Angel, so I knew he was gonn be brought back some how. But in the show altogether, Tara's was the worst death. They should have kept her alive.

Yes, when Wesley died WAS a sad thing, but my bet was that Angel was going to use the same thing they used to get Darla back in the end of season 1, and that is most likely what would've happened IF they had continued Angel. I wonder what would've happened in the end fight, though, but I did love the last thing Angel said, it was so cliche that it made it sound like a wonderful ending. 3nodding
