Ushu laughed softly as he shifted over to situate himself with the left-overs of the kill, tossing Noyana a glance. "Sure. If I see him, I'll be sure to say hi and let him know I met his twin. I bet if he's half as nice as you, then he's a great cub."
A chuckle rolled out as he tore into the meat, pulling a large bit free to chew with relish. Ah, the fruits of his labor... sweet, as always. He had good judgment when he picked out what to bring down for food. He spoke around his mouthful, rather enjoying this little conversation with the cub. "I can tell you're lively, and I bet you can tackle them. I bet any boy cub would think twice about messing with you."
He hid is grin as he snapped off some more meat, chew with a contented purr.

Noyana flicked her tail proudly. "Yup, they're scared of me!" Though, she hadn't ever really scared anyone, she'd never been picked on. The lioness was sure that she could hold her own, if she needed to. That, perhaps, led to the streak of independence and exploration in her. She went everywhere, even places she probably shouldn't. Cliffs, gorges, beyond the borders... Those were all secrets, though.
"One day," she said as she sat down, "I'm going to be the head hunter, I'm sure of it!" That was how she planned on utilizing her strength- hunting. "I can already catch all sorts of bugs, and plenty of mice, it won't be long before I'm bringing down these guys!" She plopped her paw down on the nearest part of the antellope with confidence. Yes, before long, she'd be showing Ushu how it was done.

The golden male laughed again as he licked his maw free of blood, glancing over at Noyana and her bright yellow form. A smile pulled at his face, and he ducked his head back to his food to hide it.
"You'll make a fine huntress when you grow up, Noy, as long as you practice hard." He nodded as he swallowed a gob of bloody meat. "It takes a lot of practice to catch something big, and even more to do it all the time. You've made a nice start though." He offered her a reassuring smile over his shoulder as he set to gnawing the last bits of meat from the bones, grasping a couple between his paw to crack open and lick out the rich marrow. What a treat... he didn't often actually finish a kill to where he could get at the bone.
He tossed Noyana a smaller bone with a smile, curious to see if she knew what to do with it.

Before Noyana did anything with the bone, she took a chance to examine it. She hadn't ever really paid any close attention to bones before, just avoided them in her eating. It was pink, probably because it had just been extracted from meat. She turned it over in her paw, seeing if the other side was any different, and it wasn't.
She tried to do what Ushu had done with his bone; snap it in two, bot found she couldn't do it with her paws alone like he had. She instead gnawed on it in the back of her mouth, her molars splintering the bone and exposing the marrow that Ushu was currently enjoying. No, the cub was quite sure she'd never done this before... Tentatively she gave it a lick and found that it was quite good! She looked up at the male, "This stuff is great!"

Ushu smiled as he cracked the bone in his jaws again, watching Noyana with amusement as she followed his example. It was quite funny to watch her deal with the bone, and her suprise as she tried marrow for the first time.
The tan lion chuckled as he gave a last lick to his bone and dropped it back on the pile. "Yeah, it is. I know we lions don't eat it very often, but I saw a wild dog crack the bones of its kill once and lick out the marrow, so I decided to try it myself. It can be difficult, but you can work it if you try hard enough." He grinned as he flicked the bones with a paw, knocking them about to see if there was anything of interest left among them. His brown-tipped tail swayed behind him, the wind of the savannah rustling his growing mane.

It's very good," Noyana said as she finished off the smaller bone. She set this to her memory... Take bone- break into it- lick out tasty interior.
But one thing surprised her. "What's a wild dog?" She asked, tilting her head. This was the first time the cub had heard the term, let alone seen one. She waited patiently, expecting to hear that it was some crazed lion.

The teen blinked as she asked, drawn up short for a moment.
"You don't know what a wild dog is? Wow... though, I suppose, you are pretty young..." He hmmed to himself as he thought it over. "Well... a wild dog is kind of like a hyena, but a lot different. They tend to be spotted, and they have long legs. A hyena has heavy shoulders and long ears, and wild dogs are a lot nicer. You've probably seen one here, they're pretty common, but you might not have known what it was."
The tan male smiled as he shrugged, gently flicking his hair. "Ah well... you'll probably know one now, the next time you see one." He chuckled softly, looking the young cub over as she worked on her bones.

Noyana tensed for a moment when the lion said they were a lot like hyenas, but she was greatly relieved to hear they were actually pretty nice. "I'm sure I've met one, but didn't know," she said standing up, though she couldn't recall anyone that matched the description.
With a glance at her shadow, though, Noyana realized she was going to be late getting home if she didn't leave soon. "I'd better be on my way soon, mom'll be worried if I'm too late," she said. "I hope to meet up with you again soon, Ushukuru," she said, etching his name into her mind so she wouldn't forget.

Ushu smiled as he nodded and sat back, his tail curling around him.
"It was nice to meet you, Noyana. I hope I see you around again, sometime. You have a good night, and get to the den safely, ok?" He chuckled softly as he licked his paw, cleaning it of any lingering trace of the kill he'd made. Maybe he'd go take a walk now... or nap, since he had a full belly.
