Keier was stunned twice, first by the re-falling rain he was certain he had banished and second by the Holy Lightning which threaded painfully through his system. He was a beast of the Void, which had strong ties to Darkness and Night, Lightning was closely tied to energy and Light. He was also a Demonic Creature by nature, and the Holy aspects of Divine Lightning surpassed his ussual defenses. Keier gasped painfully, stars winking in front of his eyes for a moment, he could still feel the energy crackle around him. dancing along his skin and lighting his nerves on fire. Infuriated by his own negligence and the immature nature of the attack Keier whirled to glare into the skies. He heard the shreik of terror and felt the divine aura disappear, of all the inpudence! He scowled, it was a very MINOR Diety who had dared to assault him so! Keier paused, checking his fury. Chasing after the being was something his Father would do, it wasn't worth the blasted effort, though he now felt horrendously sensative to the heightened weather, He felt even colder now and found himself shivering. To add insult to injury the rain now had a dietic influence placed on it. A holy-typed sheilding that was forcing the rain to come down harder. Keier didn't have enough influence yet to change it again. He would have to wander the lands for a longer stretch, absorbing the natural magical essences that surrounded Matri. Hurt and thoroughly miffed he limped further into the forest. The night already taking a sour-note for the Miserable Demonic Beast.

((Terribly sorry, had to disapear XD Easter and all)

Argentum stared at Illusor, his mouth open. He had always considered himself to be extremely beaytiful, but this man.....he truly was gorgeous. He trembled before he was able to find his voice, which sounded shakey when he spoke.

" I-I'm fine...and very thankful for your assistance......." he said, embarressed by the weak sound of his voice. He took the beautiful man's hand, breathing deeply to calm himself down.

Ermak chuckled, "This worked MUCH better trust me!" He told the indignant man, He'd first thought Pharallah was human, now he wasn't as sure, closer inspection said he didn't smell right,... "Well if you wanted to go AROUND Parte', why didn't you just say so?" Ermak inquired with a grin, "That's not so hard once the screaming mobs aren't about." He chuckled softly, "Where ever are you headed newcomer? You don't have the smell of Matri on you... I've been here before, perhaps I could help you out!"

Pharallah only grumbled. He did not really want company. He could fend for himself just fine. But reluctantly he allowed himself to be accompanied by this individual.

"No I'm not from here." He responded. "But, I've been here for the last few years...Just not this particular area." He paused. "And would ya stop with the ental inspection of my racial status. I hate it when people do that." He glared more defiantly than angrily.

((Might wanna switch that to last few months. Few years is a LONG time to live on Matri without knowing more about Parte, or even to have not found a way back home if he wanted...))

Ermak grinned and shrugged, "Been here that long eh? And you still haven't learned to manage Parte?" He seemed unperturbed by Pharallah's defiance, after all it wasn't like he was ordering the man around. "I'm sure you'd be mildly curious as well if you knew anything about me." Ermak stated simply, "When one meets something one hasn't met before, one invariably endeavors to discover more about the something new." Ermak quoted, though from what Pharallah couldn't be sure. "Besides, it's like humans always say, 'Two people always best one' Right?"

((A note on Ermak, he always messes up 'modern' earth quotes, or in other words, sayings you and I understand. He's from a futuristic world and trusts too much in what a certain Demon tells him is accurate, he is TRYING to say "two heads are better than one". XD))

((Pharallah's never in any hurry. And he never said anything about no knowing about Parte, he just doesn't care xP))

"Yup, I have. Been in hibernation most of the time though. And you'd be surprised, I'm not a very curious man." He snorted. He wasn't going to feed the boys ego. "Honestly, I haven't been awake long enough to care. Particularly. I'm here to find someone. Which is why I haven't been in this area. Though that idiot couldn't find his way out of a wet paper bag. I figured staying in one place would be best, but he's probably doing the same thing!" Pharallah sighed. "I seriously dislike this place. Just because the atmosphere lacks. Not to mention the people are very rude." He looked over at the other. Bluntness was one thing he was very skilled in.

(( Okee dokee, so long as you understand he'd have been fighting off more than Fangirls during his stay. Loulgers, Gadmirs, Feral Dragons... the works. wink ))

Ermak shrugged, "Curiosity or not, I would think it simple common sense to figure out where all the dangers are and how to avoid them." He listened to Pharallah's purpose and goal, even as he started walking, wordlessly motioning for the bowman to follow him. "Missing person eh? Hmmmm.... well there are a couple of ways to deal with that on Matri. We could meander on over to Dracatopia Castle, and file an official report there, which will no-doubt be lost or buried in mountains of other paperwork no Matritian wants to do, ... We could look for a more powerful than average sorcerer, who could scry this person out for you, ... we could ask a wolf-pack or two to keep a look-out or track this person by scent if we have some bribery offerings..." Suddenly he snorted with amusement, "We could ask an Elf!" Which was a statement Ermak knew any Matritian would consider a joke, since almost all native Matritians considered 'elves' to be nothing more than a myth. The last suggestion was a test to see whether or not Pharalla had kept himself informed of at least the supposed local people and fawna.

Of course Ermak had to laugh again at the 'people are very rude' comment. "Actually that is a fairly accurate statement for Matri!" The Brude chuckled, "Although... I don't exactly count as 'the people' myself, since I'm actually just visiting." Not in the least offended by Pharallah's bluntness, Ermak winked at the man when he glanced back, smirking in amusement. Ermak knew he had and was being a little on the rude side, Quite frankly it didn't bother him, humans had different definitions of 'rude'. To Ermak's people his earlier 'assault' would have been considered a very comradrial gesture, even to a stranger. It still amused the Brude that so many other races considered it an affront.

((Angel, Furry, and I have decided to something a little differently with Matri this time. For those of you who have Role-Played in a 'Matri' setting before, outside of this particular RP you might truely enjoy this.

Basically, Matri is supposed to be a planet of high inter-dimensional traffic, Which means lots of off-worlders pop in and out. However when we do the 'Mini-dragon' scenerio like we have here, we enjoy the novelty of having off-worlders who are NOT normally dimension travelers. This time we few Moderator RPers have decided that it's not just going to be 'nice, innocent, curious' types of Off-worlders. We're gonna throw some nasties at you as well. This also means that some of you are welcome to have your 'less than amiable' characters show up, perhaps with 'less than honorable' intent... if you know what I mean.

First off, we are going to have the 'Bohgror' Also known as the "Buggers" a malicious insectoid alien species from Mine and Angel's stories. They are the nemesis race to the 'Brude', Ermak's arch-enemies. Hopefully this will give some of you a little more insight into Ermak's varied abilities.

The Bahgror will 'officially' be Role-Played By 'The demon Angel'. I am going to be Controlling another set of Nasties myself, We are shortly going to have 'Illithids', or 'Mind Flayers', Also known as the 'Cthulu'. Brain devouring Telepaths and Psionists for those of you unfamiliar with them. Furry-chan will be controlling the natural carnivors and monsters of Matri. wink So get ready for a fun ride!))

The small purple-dragon, who was almost entirely responsible for the current influx of visitors to Matri, must have been a little more psychotic even than usual, for in it's tiny twisted mind it somehow decided that things STILL weren't interesting enough, teleporting through various dimensions until it happened upon a small group of creatures that gave even it pause. But 'The Minidragon' was not infamous because it had moral qualms... And so it was that a very small group of Bohgror found themselves on Matri. As far as standard numbers went, this group was miniscule for a Bohgror contingent. Containing only three members, but these were sentient Bohgror, Ones capable of individual thought among their kind, Which meant they were the stronger ones...

Illusor smiled at Argentum, grasping the young man's hand firmly. "I would not wish you to concern yourself with thanking or repaying me in any manner," The healer assured him, "It is my greatest pleasure to assist those in need of my services." then the Healer inclined his head sympathetically before turning once again to Marka, extending one hand in a second offer of hospitality to the lavender haired individual. "If it would please you,..." Illusor simply stated, silently repeating his previous offer.

OOC: I honestly don't think that even the Minidragon is stupid enough to catch some buggers... then again, there was that one time with the black hole...

Tanya finished her glass of wine with a leisurely sigh then slowly got to her feet. "Well Drake I think it's about time to wrap things up and get Ermy... You gather things here and I'm going to gather a bit of information." She gathered up a hooded cloak and stepped out into the rain. It was a little while before she returned and Drakian had ample time to prepare himself

"So, what were you getting?"

"Something." Tanya said smugly.

"Mom, why is it that every time you say that I get this premonition that things are about to go horribly wrong?"

"Because you and your sister are psychic." She said with a wink.

Somewhere in the forest, there was a resounding thud, and suddenly Eolo the Mage found himself flat on his back in the leaf loam, a wet pitterpattering coming down onto his face. He was looking up at falling rain and treebranches.

"What. The Hell."

He laid there for a while, taking stock of his situation. He was still wearing the same woolen and linen shirt he'd put on that morning, and his green kilt with braes under, and his knee high boots. Somehow his coat, now, that had gone missing... And now he was lying in a rainy wood. Somewhere.

He tested his limbs, then his neck and spine, making sure everything still worked before sitting up. Clambering to his feet, he flicked and picked leaves and bracken from his clothes.
"Now. Where exactly am I....?"

There was some crunching footsteps and the distinct sound of dragging came closer to where Eolo collected himself. A sopping wet and decidedly scowling young man of about fifteen was trudging through the undergrowth with something long flowy and pale blue in his hand. As he broke through the brush what he was dragging came into view, it was another young man who looked somewhat younger than he, and decidedly taller, and much thinner. The dark haired boy chuckled hearing the mage's musings. "Welcome to Matri, I gather by your musings the minidragon brought you here. Giggling purple lizard with wings about this big?" he dropped the ponytail by which he had been dragging his companion and demonstrated a length of about three feet. "Anywho, I'm Misopan Kurai, Divine Beast of Hate and Darkness." The way he stood and spoke was cocky and very full of youthful arrogance. "This lump," He indicated kickiing his unconscious companion with the toe of his boot. "Is Dyonisu, my second cousin, Beast of Loneliness and Ice."

Eolo rubbed at the back of his skull. "Musta hit my head harder than I thought- Wait, welcome to where?" At only five feet tall, he was probably close to eye to eye with the kid.
"You're supposed to be a beast of hate and angst and whatever?" He shook his head, folding his arms. "Wouldn't you pick a better form than a teenage kid?"

"He IS a teenage kid..." Mumbled his dirtied cousin sitting up slowly and grabbing his head. "Ow" He mumbled as Misopan kicked him spitefully. "Ngh, well, I'm Dyonisu, this is Matri... a place where the flotsam and jetsam of the multiverse washes up to have some fun..." The kid stood up and was a significant height, he had a broad frame and looked like he was supposed to have some muscle mass, but instead seemed only an emaciated twig on stilts. His hair and eyes were the pale blue of glaciers. "And all being a Beast entails, is that we can't be killed while on Matri, and we have some control over a single element. We are also called the Beasts of Misery as we all seem doomed to lives of turmoil." If Misopan were to be the angsty one of the two, Dyonisu was definitely the Emo.

Misopan scowled and glared at his taller companion, but didn't dignify him with a response, and merely snorted balefully.

Argentum nodded, smiling gently, " If that is what you wish.....although, I do admit I'd have no way of doing such a thing anyway...." He said, more to himself than the man before him. He wasn't sure if the limited amount of gil he had was even worth anything in this place.

Khorae

PostPosted: Mon Apr 16, 2007 11:32 pm

Khorae sat alone in her office in Parte', going over hte client lists of her brothel. She'd been established her for about three months, having been transported from Amberlin by some strange, giggling purple mini-dragon. After convincing one man she was helpless, he brought her here for protection and after a few heart-stopping days she'd learned the rules enough to play her own games here. Now she had people to care for, a profession she was good at, and the choice of whether or not to continue participating in it or to just manage it.

If not for this blasted rain. One sneeze meant a cold, which meant a fever, and the pnuemonia. And no, she was not being melodramatic. Lamenting her lack of immune system, Khorae sends one of her girls out for the week's groceries with a couple of the boys. They should handle it fine without her, she made sure they could read once she had weaned them from the drugs the last manager had strung them out on.

"Just another day's work."
