"No, they will." Crow smiled. "I even did, and I've only seen you twice before."

Crow walked over to him and blushed. "The claws, though, that might attract attention... I know my parents flipped when I got my wings." She fluttered her wings.

Gaaah. Her mind made her blush again.

--

Morrigan prowled close to the plateau, following the sound of the drum beat. She peered around a rock and rolled her eyes. "Coyote, is it?" She whispered before suddenly switching into a light gray wolf/coyote and trotting over to him.

"So, been playing with the mortal children, have you? Got bored with your tricks here in our realm?"

"I don't know... It's just, I've been thinking about running away soon as I found out. I don't think I'd be able to fit in Elementary school anymore, and I don't know what to say to my parents if they saw me like this. It'd all just be so weird."

Writ tried to relax, not think about it, but that wasn't gonna happen anytime soon.

***

Coyote stopped playing and put the drum down.

"Apparently." The god shrugged.

He crouched down and went eye to eye with the wolf, "Heard that you've pulled a trick once or twice of your own."

Crow shook her head, the idiot wouldn't be able to last ten minutes alone on the streets.

"Writ, you might be a bit bigger but...you lack street smarts and a sense of direction. If you ended up along the Streets again, you think you could even walk yourself home?" she reminded.

---

"Hmm... So, you know who I am." Morrigan replied coolly as her eyes met his with a casual and bored stare.

"It's just a thought." Writ said, brushing away the subject. Though he wasn't quite sure.

"At least now I can beat up that kid in the hoodie." Writ remarked, "He was a real jerk."

***

"Gods are just gossipy people." Coyote smiled and sat back. He took out his pipe, "I know that word's going to get out about what I did with the kid."

The pipe lit itself and he took a puff. He took the pipe out of his mouth and blew the smoke in the air.

"It's just been a question on my mind but, how good are you at those tricks of yours? Obviously not the best, because I'm the god of all tricks and you're... Not. Alas, I've heard things that've got me impressed."

"Right, and what's the point in running away? I did that and... And... Well, let's not talk about me." She ignored the kid-in-the-hoodie bit, she had queried enough about Writ and his personal goings about.

---

"Ah, yes, so I'm the goddess of death on the battlefield and other such things. But, tricks I do have up my sleeve. Why, you curious, Coyote?"

Morrigan's eye color changed from a brilliant blue to a sultry red.

Crow ran away? Well, that would explain the whole silence when he asked about her parents.

"I think, I'm going to skip school today. Get some clothes that'll fit." He thought out loud, looking down on his embarassingly short pajamas..

***

"I am, but I don't need a demonstration right now, thanks." Coyote said mildly, his gold eyes staring at her red ones. Death gods were the last ones you wanted to demonstrate anything. Enough with the chit-chat.

"But I called you here, because I want to make this game a bit more interesting, maybe prove to be a better trickster than I." He took another breath of smoke and exhaled again, a grin on his face.

"Want me to come?" Crow queried, feeling suddenly like an intrusion.

--

"Right. But I'll agree to such if only because I'm bored and the child is stubborn as hell." Morrigan nodded before turning and dashing away. "No peaking."

Well, that was sudden.

"I guess..." Writ stopped for a moment, then said, "Sure, just let me get changed first."

Writ went into his room and grabbed the largest clothes that he could, it was another pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and a red plaid shirt to go over that. All of it felt tight, especially the socks, his claws had to poke through the cloth in order to fit.

He still wasn't used to his body, and it felt strange, like being in another person's shoes. This body wasn't his, it didn't belong to him yet. He was supposed to wait when he came of age, like all the other kids.

Feh, like when was he like other kids?

He came out of his room in his small clothes and said, "This is really, really odd."

"Now you know how I felt when I spouted wings two years ago." Crow remarked as she tossed her cloak back around her and headed for the door.

Crow needed to head to a library sometime soon to look up this 'Coyote' and figure out why he caused Writ to have a growth spurt. What Gods specialize in quick-aging? She shook her head and focused back onto the new mission: Find Writ clothes.

"Well, c'mon."

Writ needed to go to the library to look up this "Morrigan" God. Who'd give a girl wings and hooves? Whatever, he wasn't ever a fan of the library, but he seemed determined to know things.

He opened the front door and waited for Crow. Writ checked his pockets for his housekeys. Still there. Alright.

Crow came out, and he locked the door. First steps outside in an aged body. Everything seemed smaller around him.

Including Crow. She disliked the sudden height difference, she had been a bit closer to his height with her hooves, but thanks to the spurt he surpassed her easily.

"So much for playing together again..." she sadly noted as she clomped down the stairs and onward. "You sure you don't wanna do this alone?"

"I don't know, talking to you just makes me feel younger." Writ smiled a little, but it quickly died. They went off to the nearest clothes shop. It wasn't too far. Things just didn't look right with Writ next to Crow, on a school day, it suggusted things. There were second glances and stares, but at least there weren't any policeman, or truant officers, or most importantly, Blacksuits.

"Just because I'm ten doesn't mean I act ten." Crow growled through her fangs. She tucked herself in tighter to her cloak, the glances made her uneasy.

"Please don't doddle, I don't like being glanced at, it's...it's... Just find something, quick, OKAY?"
PostPosted: Sun Apr 08, 2007 10:37 pm

"Okay okay...." Writ just chose a pack of white t-shirts and a few pairs of jeans. The shirts were large, he didn't know if they'd fit, but they were probably better than his old ones. The jeans, he had to try those out.

So he went to a dressing room to try them on really quick.

Hey. Coyote whispered, coming in for a moment.

What do you want?! Writ hissed back in his mind.

Look, I just want to make things up to you, okay? You're in front of a mirror, right?

Coyote waited, and said, Just press down on the tip of your ears softly for a moment.

Writ rolled his eyes, but he did. The ears felt like soft clay for a moment. He gasped slightly at the sensation. Before he could marvel, the god said,

Press down.

The teen obeyed, and the ears seemed to have shrank in size. It was only a moment before they popped back up to normal.

I'll tell you about it later, busy at the moment.

And Coyote left again, but not before changing Writ's aura. Crow would probably see it too. There were sparkles around the boy's body as he came out of the changing room, implying something, no less. He didn't want Morrigan to have all the fun, did he?

Morrigan glanced over at Coyote and rolled her eyes. "Please, you're trying to pull my trick on... Oh dear, she's ten. I keep forgetting that bit."

-

Crow didn't seem to notice at first. She had been glancing around the shop with a slightly peeved expression, as if saying 'bugger off!' She heard his claws scrap on the floor, and then turned...

Crow's cheeks suddenly turned a rosy red and her eyes widened. She then had an audible 'squeak'.

Straighten up, child!

Writ...Kwute... Squee.

CARREN ROWA MAIRIN!

Squee... Crow could see the little hearts dancing in her head, her rational mind seemingly locked up in a box screaming 'DEAR GODDESS, CROW STRAIGHTEN UP!'

Sadly ration doesn't rule over the matters of attraction.
