Umbia turned to see the weaker cub chasing one of the rabbits. Well she wasn't going to catch it if Umbia couldn't! Her father had told her many times that she was too young to be hunting but Umbia didn't believe him which would probably be the reason that she hadn't caught the two rabbits and was now incredibly jealous that the little cub was still chasing one.
"You won't catch it!" She shouted out, hoping to knock the cubs attention just in case there was a chance of her catching the rabbit.

The little white cub merely flicked an ear at Umbia's warning. She had heard it fine, but in her state of such intense concentration, her brain didn't even begin to process the black cub's words until much later. She sprinted on after the rabbit from one end of the clearing to the next, until it finally started to draw open the distance between them and break away from the chase. Only then did the white cub stop, her sides moving visibly as she took in greedy gulps of air. Her legs shook a little unsteadily as she watched the rabbit until it was a dot in the distance. Only then did she remember that Umbia had said something and turned back with a cheerful shrug. "Well, you were right," She said, her words coming between pants. "But then, it's not just about catching it, now is it?"

Umbia laughed as the cub spoke. "Surely it is if your hunting. If you don't catch it you don't eat." The black and red cub turned around and rolled her eyes so the other cub couldn't see.
"You will starve if you dont realise that you have to catch them." Granted they were cubs but Umbia was getting annoyed with this cub, she was weak and stupid. Umbia couldn't understand how she was alive, she looked like skin and bones, maybe she would starve one day? Then again she ran quite fast, maybe the cub had some promise.

"I know all that," She said patiently, turning her head briefly to look over her shoulder, where the spot that represented the rabbit was rapidly decreasing in size. "But sometimes, you just gotta learn to take the time off and just run." She paused for a moment, as if reliving the moments before. A look of faraway wonderment misted her eyes for a moment before she came back. She wasn't prone to daydreaming. "Because when you do... well it just feels like, for a few moments, like you're untouchable."

Umbia just stared at her somewhat. "Sure."
She was getting bored now, the cub was day dreaming and so Umbia decided it would be time to go home.
"Right, see ya around I'm sure mother will be looking for me and I am hungry..." She wanted some food and her mother was always good at giving her that longed for food!
