how much is a PS2 anyways?
it costs $150 dollars now. and they have 2 styles, you can get orignal style or new style. new style is about half as big as orignal and has a flip top lid rather than the disk tray. i recomend new style. now $150 will only get you the system, thats it. no more. if you want a game to play (i am assuming you do, unless you just want it to protect a spot on your desk/table/shelf/ where ever you put it from dust, i dunno) a game, depending on what you are getting, will run you about $20-$50. the newer the game the more it is. (if you want game suggestions i'll be glad to help) now of gorse you can now put the game in your system and turn it on, now what? oh right, you can play it now. but whats this? you forgot to buy the controller. ok, back to the store. now a normal dualshock2 controller(R) (the standered controller) will cost about $20. if you want to go fancy you can go wireless or someother cool abnormality it will probbally cost you about $10-$20 more. (i myself am buying a controller online with a lcd screen and speakers built in to it. it cost me $40, not counting shiping and handeling.) ok, now you have your controller, you can play your game. but before you do, make sure you get a memory card. a single memory card for your system will choke $20 more dollars out of you. memory cards are escental and to behonest ther are not too many frills to buy for this. now you can buy things like a memory expander (i have one, nice peice of equipment really) for a nother $20, but you probaly won't need that right away so don't get it yet. now your set and ready to play the ps2(R). all in all if you go bare balls minimum you are looking to pay $150(system)+$20(game)+$20(controller)+$20(memory card)=$210 on your new system, wich is $150 less than what I payed when it first came out. to be honest, this is not to scare you off. the system is a great investment IMO and i fully recomend buying it. im just handing you the facts. enjoy your new system.
