"Hey, I went along on that trip to try and help get Dragonium's gem," Ruby replied indignatly, "I don't know what Brownie was thinking, teleporting me off to Deep Blue's lair for no apparent reason. I didn't even know she was there. And besides, unlike the Alien Mews, I didn't complain."

"I wouldn't have complained if I'd drawn the short stick," Brownie stated, sticking her nose in the air. "Squire, I took you to Deep Blue because he wanted to make sure of who was actually aligned with him, and you're not. Get it? You've been hanging around Kisshu and myself way too much."

((Gotta make up something! Haha...

Oh, and I may end up not coming back. Ever. Because even if I am noticed by Suki and Kira, people have thought that the Rhea Tesen account is me, which it's obviously Kira (I mean, look at her signature...). I feel like being one of the Vice Captains carries no meaning here. I'm not aiming this at any specific person... well, it's specific enough that it's not at Suki, Kira, and I'll even stretch it so far as to say not at Shirley (I can complain at her in real life... don't have to get angry at her here). So... please do remember that I have actually returned, and will be here. Seriously. The Research Paper for school that I had to write is done now, except the final draft, which won't take much of my time. I'll be able to check here more often. But I feel like certain people aren't noticing that I am, indeed, back. I will stop ranting now, I think you all are at least smart enough to understand when a person is upset by something. If I don't get some people actually noticing I'm here by the end of this plot, however, I'm gone for good.))

Leichi frowned. Ruby had a point, and besides, she was newer than some of the Mews, so she hadn't had many chances to prove herself.

"LET'S TAKE OFF!" Pez shouted with feigned enthusiasm. Well, she admitted that a volcano might be more interesting than a cold mountain.

Ruby glared at Pez for a second, figuring that, like everyone else, she wasn't actually too enthusiastic. She then turned, to see Brownie and Ginger floating up into the air and following Crysta. "So, is Kisshu planning on following again like last time?" she asked Brownie, who furiously shook her head.

"No, he's stuck in a battle planning session with DB. He might show up, but I don't think he knows where Vesuvius even is. He was saying something about Germany." Ruby was relieved to hear this, and she turned back around to face the front.

((Keh... had I decided to send Nutmeg along, I could have had Nutmeg ask them to sing travel songs... but, I don't feel like playing Nutmeg...))

"We won't get burned to a crisp, since Vesuvius isn't exactly active. Not to mention that I don't get how the gem could float to the surface of a solid chunk of a cooled magma topper, but that's not the point. Basically, it'll be warmer than we're used to, but nothing we can't handle," Ruby replied. "get it, or do I have to bring in the whiteboard...?"

"I think Everest is more dangerous," Ginger replied plainly. "No oxygen is bad news. Vesuvius isn't high enough that it would be a problem. It's an inactive volcano, and the authorities would inform anyone there if it looks like it's gonna erupt."

"More like one in a million," Ginger replied, "And unnoticed by the authorities would have to be about one in a trillion. And by the way, these numbers? Thyme told them to me before we left. She figured that it would be important for someone to know something, and that for some reason I'd be the best one to keep track of the information..."

"Pai?" Minto asked, genuinely confused at Fisshu, not realizing that Pai and pie are pronounced the same. "There are all kinds of different 'pai'... there's the mahjong pai, the dessert pai, the alien pai, the onomonopia (sp?) pai..."

"I don't think that's what she meant..." Brownie muttered, slightly frustrated.

Ceviche sighed as Ami stared contently at the portable pancake maker in her hands. It began to smoke slightly before Ami turned it off, smiled, and opened it up. Inside was...

...a very burnt pancake.

Ami licked her lips expectantly. "The blacker they are, the better they taste. ^-^" Yes, she even pronounced the smiley.

Ceviche sweatdropped, thinking But it's burnt...

Ami, though she heard Ceviche's thought easily enough, asked, "Could someone please pass the maple syrup?"
