I've hit myself pretty hard on furnishing corners before; it leaves marks on the skin and hurts a lot, but falling wouldn't open up a bleeding gash; at least, not one that bleeds that much. Not enough to slip on and be considered a "large amount". When my brother was a toddler he charged into a corner at full speed and had to get stitches over his eye. There wasn't much blood at all. If he knocked over a glass jar and fell on it, maybe.
A thing to note about Chinese dragons: the number of digits. Ages and ages ago, only the royal family could wear representations of dragons with five digits terminating each limb. Everyone else could only have four. If the Emperor favored you and gave you a dragon-bedecked kimono, you immediately had to get rid of a toe on each foot of each representation.

I like that the only things he's carrying when he teleports to the island is what people would consider to be junk. I know there are exceptions, but from day to day most people don't carry survival gear. razz
Hmm. Perhaps you ought to mention why Peregrine finds making rap album art morally questionable. Is he quietly racist, or does he find the lyrics and the rapper's antics offensive? And why would a rapper pick him for his album art, anyway?
