The thought of another watching over him as he slept both comforted and disconcerted the black and white male. His violet eyes closed over and he took a deep breath, remembering what it had been like to have the comfort of a pack to look after you, to be around you whilst you slept. That, he had to admit, was certainly something he missed. Up until now he had mostly tried to push the thoughts from his mind but they came unbidden as the similarities, the comfort, presented itself.
Perhaps, he thought, it was his on soul that was weary and that he could see a reflection of himself in her. Maybe that was what gave him this overwhelming sense of... tiredness, exhaustion.
His head rested forward on his small paws, his eyes flickering upwards now to look at the sky. The moon was high in the sky now, it had gotten late whilst they talked. Perhaps a rest would be best - perhaps continuing their conversation in the daytime would make it seem less... mystical. "I think I might rest." he eventually said, after a long, silent pause. He deliberately didn't ask that she watch over him - he'd be more comfortable if she rested too - but he would let her do as she wished.
