WhoGuru Enjou_Garyuu Yeah, I did like both of them but The Deadly Assasin is my father's favorite. The brain of Morbius had leela in it, and I don't like her much. Liked Sara Jane way better. *beep* wrong! rofl The Brain of Morbius WAS a Sarah Jane episode. blaugh A very strange episode. The Sisterhood is just bizarre. Oh thats right it did have her in it. I was thinking of the horror of fang rock. I get my episodes mixed up sometimes. The sisterhood are bizarre, and that's the one where Sarah Jane whent blind temperarly.

My first encounter with Doctor Who was actually the Peter Cushing version of Dalek Invasion of Earth. My first proper Doctor Who episode was Revenge of the Cybermen (at least I think that was it - anyway, it was the one from near the beggining of Tom Baker's era).

Oooh, it was one of the episodes of the first doctor... um... I think I actually saw the very first episode, with the TARDIS in the um... junkyard, and that's where he gets... Susan? Or was it Barbra and susan... or Ian as well... I can't remember, so long ago, haha!

Are you talking about the pilot episode or the unearthly child?

Um, I vaguely remember seeing Key to Time when I was a toddler. Vaguely. Mostly I remember that the White Guardian looked like the KFC guy, and um, I sort of remember Pyramids, but my mind might be inventing that...
I *do* remember asking my brother several times what the Doctor's name was, and he kept saying that they would never tell and the show was cancelled anyway, and then at two I prophesized that the show would come back someday and i would watch it. (I was a psychic as a kid, seriously)
Then they stopped showing re-runs and I forgot the show existed for the next decade and a half. Rightly speaking Rose was my first episode...

The first time I got to see a real episode--not a Marvel comic reprint of "The Iron Legion" or a Pyramid Books reprint of the Target novelizations--was sometime in the early 1980's when we were working on our NC house which my parents moved to when Dad retired. We just had a little portable tv with a set of rabbit ear antennas so the reception was horrible, but the NCPTV repeater tower was just across the valley. After a day working putting up drywall & stuff we would turn it on. I did so about 6pm one day...& in all the terrible snow & static I saw a weird pattern. Then I saw a familiar face! Tom Baker! I had blundered upon Ark in Space. xd Even though I could barely see or hear it I tried to tune in every day we were there after that.

Well I mean everyone has their own taste once they get hooked, but it usualy starts with Tom Baker, because he's just that cool.
And I'm starting to like Colin Baker, but I still think that coat is rather tacky. But then again it was the 80's. Gota love the 80's!

He wanted something that looked outrageous & awful because he started out with #6 as being very alien & cold & gradually changed him. Compare how #6 acts in an early story like Attack of the Cybermen to how he is in the Trial--he mellows out a lot. He really seems very insecure, all that bellow & bluster trying to cover up how he really feels.
