Ouch...Carl kneeled down and gently looked him over with his talon tips. "You ok?"

The eagle hadn't expected the stopping to be an issue, but he did give the dog more than credit for attempting it. He'd earned leader now, that is - if he was up to it. The fall probably wasn't enough to actually harm the creature, but he still eyed him over, just in case he was wrong and the animal was hurt.

Ziggy gave another yup and rolled carefully to his feet. He gently tested his legs again before wagging his tail at Carl. He walked a few paces, just testing the waters. Everything seemed fine on his end.

Watching Carl from the corner of his eye, Ziggy took off, giving a bark that could have been translated as "Catch me if you can!". He'd just make sure he was on a rougher surface before he tried stopping again.

Well, he was the leader now. Carl took off at a run after him, trying his best to keep up with the energized canine as he sped around.For now he was at his mercy, but that worried him not as he continued to follow the dogs' example, and rather peaked his curiositty just to see what he'd come up with for Carl to do.
