Curse america and it's bloody damn crapy sitcoms! I want the good s**t, like Doctor Who, and The Young Ones, and Ab Fab! I mean dude! We have the shityist t.v. shows it has ever been my misfortune to watch! Exept Law and Order. I like that one.

stare You seriously think that?!?!?!?!?!? eek eek burning_eyes
What about House, or Psych, or CSI, or Extreme Makeover: Home Edition?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? surprised
Okay the sci-fi chanel has some really good ones, and I think that House rules, however I don't see very many really funny or good ones in america. However the Dresden Files kicks a**. We have really stupid sitcoms, and friggin' reality t.v shows.

Well yeah, incredibly stupid sitcoms. But there are a few shows I loved before they went off the air, like Wishbone (yeah, it was a kids show, but I learned Phantom of the Opera, The Odyssey, Sherlock Holmes, etc with it), and Diagnosis Murder and Touched By An Angel were great shows.

Nowadays I see your point though. The shows now are mostly bathroom humour-type comedy...not good at all.

Thats cause americans don't understand comedy as well as britan. However The Daily Show, and The Colbert Report rocks! Nothin' like spoof news!

But the quality of good comedy in america has drasticly gone down. It's really quite sad. And I watched wishbone too. I loved it, I thought it was so cool.

Wishbone enhanced my love of reading; I actually read the Odyssey only just a year ago in school!

And good comedy, yeah, it's hard to find, sadly enough. The Colbert Report is okay, I guess...I figure that good comedy is funny, but family safe. No raunchy stuff, and especially not the F-bomb. That gets on my nerves every time.

Although I'm not overly fond of most American television either, please be aware that others in this guild may actually enjoy such programs. Thefore, I am going to ask, in my capacity as a mod, that in the future you refrain from making comments that might be considered as bashing (e.g. 'americans don't understand comedy as well as britain'). You are certainly free to say that you like or dislike any show you want, just don't make comments that could be viewed as negative remarks about people that DO like those shows. Because we're a friendly lot.

It's all on youtube. I watched it there. I can't believe they voted K-9 off first! sad

Actually, I laughed when you sent me that PM earlier saying you just started watching and were hoping K-9 would win. I didn't have the heart to tell you he was the first to go. razz

Oh, well I'm sorry if I said anything that would hurt other people. In fact I don't really care what other people watch. Hell, you could watch just about anything and I wouldn't care. I live in Colorado, so I'm used to it. I was born in california, but I moved here when I was eight. Anyway I'm sorry if I caused anyone to feel like I was being unkind in any way. I didn't mean it.

It's not a big deal. Just trying to avoid any potential conflicts before they start.
Nice to have you around, btw. Even if you're siding with Four over Three. :X

Bwahahaha!!!
Yes, I was pretending to help ROOBARB only to knock off Two and Six while deflecting attention away from Three.

What can I say? Ten is the weakest link... good-bye! *zap*

I'm American, and I agree with the statement that the British understand comedy better... ><; There are almost NO good sitcoms on all of TV. I only like Scrubs. And sometimes My Name Is Earl. The Office... meh. I don't really find any of that funny.

This is my first episode of The Weakest Link.

Oh my Bob it's hilarious. xd

Thank you! I don't even watch too many comedies, just dramas. And not that many. Although a good comedy is Psych. And Monk, too.

I've seen a bunch of 'The Weakest Link' and I laughed even harder with this one! Reminds me of the 2 part finale of Eccleston's season, with the spoofs on the gameshows. And Anne Droid. mrgreen 3nodding xd
The Doctor Who additions only made it funnier. heart
