Zyan looked up at Reese as he pretended to eat her hair, it was so adorable, her normal smirky smile was replacement by a real one, warm and caring. Though her body stiffened as she heard the butlers voice, she looked over sharply wondering just how much he had seen.
Casting a glare at him, her demenour changing in an instant, she lowered Reese carefully back into his wheel chair.
"didn't hear you come in." she coughed trying to regain her tough attitude while she fiddled with a piece of hair.

"Baka Willburr ith thneaky," Reese stated...like all butlers were quiet like that and Z was silly for not knowing the fact. He rolled himself over the the table, fingers grabbing the closest cracker. Munchmunch...and it was gone, nothing but crumbs left at the corners of his mouth.
"Heh, I suppose your father has taught me a thing or two." Wilbur's eyes were noticeably softer when he looked at Zyanya, motioning to her glass of water with a wave of his hand. "For you, Young Miss. Not too cold, I hope."
"Mmm...perfecto!" Was the little compliment after downing another cracker, grinning up at Wilbur with happily squinted eyes. Wilbur seemed a little...not stern, but fatherly? Yes, fatherly was a good word. With a raised brow, he nodded his head at the mantis girl. The action got a strange look from Reese...but when he went to grab another cracker, the light bulb went off.
"Oh! Yeah!" He grabbed a cracker, holding it out to Z in the palm of his hand. "Want?"

Zyan held back a bit mainly cause she didn't like the fact that Wilbur had snuck up on her. She had never let that happen before, now her rep was in shambles.
Sulking she moved up to where Reese was and looked over the offered food. She accepted the cracker gracefully and held it up in front of her eyes before finally tasting a corner. It was salty, the flavor a bit fishy but she offered a smile to Reese anyway.
"Thank you kind sea monster." She said as she ruffled the hair on his head and then continued to eat the cracker slowly. Looking to Wilbur a hard look in her eyes she took the glass of water and gave a nod of thanks and sipped it.
Water was good, nice and cold, the crackers she wasn't too sure about yet. Blinking she looked to Reese direction the question more to Wilbur though she wasn't looking at him.
"What does your Father do for a living?"

"Poppa workth lotth," Reese said, peering over the crackers to find the one with the most cheesy, crab-loaded goodness on it. In all honesty, he didn't know what his father did.
Wilbur, on the other hand...knew perfectly well. And there was no way he was going to explain to Reese that his father was a hit man.
"Mister Edge," Wilbur started, having to pause because Reese snorted at his father being called 'Mister Edge'. "Is a business man. He helps his clients deal with many difficult situations."
"He'th a good worker," Reese added, before munching on a cracker, glancing over at Wilbur with a nod. "He'th out aaallll the time...cauthe he helpth lotth of people."
Something about Wilbur's demeanor seemed to sadden, looking at the young boy. He doubted Edge would ever have the gall to tell Reese what he really did...and the day the boy found out was not going to be a pleasant event in the household at all.
"Thee, your mommy work too?" Munchmunch...big lavender eyes round and curious.

Zyan twirled a peice of hair in between her fingers while she looked out of the corner of her eyes at Wilbur. She missed nothing in his posture, and wondered what exactly Reese's dad did for a living. It wasn't like the answered her question with a real answer. A coroner perhaps? Dealing with the dead would be a difficult job. . .
She nodded her head idly. "Yah...my mom works, she is a graphic designer." she finished and then looked to Reese, blinking slowly. "Do you know what that is?" she asked wondering if he knew what a graphic designer did.

"Hmmm....nuh uh," Reese said with a smile, munching on another cracker before taking several large gulps from his glass of milk. "Wath that?"
"Wilbur!" came the call from downstairs, and both Reese and the butler snapped their heads to the door.
"Poppa!" Reese exclaimed happily, bouncing in his seat before looking to Zyanya. "You meet Poppa!" He knew Z would like Poppa...everyone liked Poppa, he was nice!
"Just wait here, Young Sir. Miss," Wilbur said in a very serious voice, dipping his head politely before disappearing out of the room and down the hall, his footsteps fading down the steps.
Reese bounced still in his chair, before looking to the mantis girl. "Baka Wilbur helpth Poppa when he cometh home," he explained. "He'll be up thoon."

Zyanya looked as Wilbur instructed them to wait here before dissapearing from the room. Help him? What did this guy do for a living? Maybe Reese's dad was handicapped just like Reese. In a wheelchair or something. She died for a look at the guy, and due to her rebellious nature wanted to go sneak a peak right now.
"Uh...a graphic designer draws things." she explained and that was about the extent she knew of the profession. "My ma uses the computer a lot." she concluded as she stared at the door hard. She took another sip from her glass, now as much as she didn't like Wilbur there was something about his tone that was serious. Maybe Reese's dad was a vampire? Wait no...they said he helped people with big problems...a vampire couldn't do that very well.
"Uh...is your dad out of the house a lot?" she asked, curious.

Reese's little nose wrinkled. Honestly, he thought Poppa was out of the house too much. But Wilbur always said that Poppa worked hard so that they could all live together and be happy...so the sea horse boy didn't complain about it as much as he could.
But Zyan wasn't Poppa or Wilbur...so maybe talking to her didn't count as complaining?
"Kinda," he admitted, wiggling his nose and idly twirling his finger across the arm rest of his chair. "I with he thtayed home more, but Wilbur thayth Poppa workth hard for uth." He looked up at Zyanya, offering a little crooked smile.
"Hey there, Buddy," came a slightly deeper tone from the door, and there stood Edge. He was tall with a well defined without being overly muscular body, and he wore a pair of black business slacks and a white button down shirt, only half tucked in and wrinkled. His hair was short, black, and he looked like he'd just gotten out of the shower. Probably had jumped into one as soon as he arrived home. His eyes looked more gold than green and very tired despite the smile that curled his lips.
"Hi Poppa!" Reese suddenly perked, waving at his father before rolling himself away from Zyan towards the man. Edge met him half way, scooping the child up into a warm hug that ended with Reese being held against Edge's hip.
"Poppa, thith ith Thee," Reese actually introduced her, smiling as his tail coiled happily about his father's wrist. "The'th mah friend."
It was easy to see why Reese smiled so much, because Edge had yet to stop...even if it was just a quiet grin. With a nod of his head, he offered his hand out to the young lady in greeting.
"Nice to meet you, Z."

Zyanya's eye brows furrowed a bit at Reese's words. So it sounded like Reese's dad was out of the house a lot, thus it would explain why Wilbur was so close to Reese.
She watched as Edge came into the room, the air of grown up filing the room and making her fidget from foot to foot. She blinked up at the taller man, taking not his gold like eyes, short black hair and even the wrinkles in his shirt. Was it natural for a man to shower the instant he came home?
But she put on her best smile, knowing honey attrated more bee's than viniger. It wasn't that she didn't like Edge, there was just something about him that made her want to push the man down and lecture him about spending mroe time at home. Reese deserved more.
"Nice to meet you Sir, jsut to let you know if you ever need a baby sitter I would be more than happy to look after Reese." she continued her offer true and honest. She needed to get the tyke out of the house more.

"Yea, yea, yea!" Reese agreed, bouncing against Edge's hip. "Thee can watch me lotth!" And then they could have all kinds of fun, because Z was awesome like that!
Edge glanced at his son with a smirk, his brow shifting up as he pondered over the statement. "Well, then what would Wilbur do all day?" he asked teasingly, poking Reese's stomach. It made the boy giggle, biting his lower lip in an attempt to contain his laughter.
"I dunno," the boy admitted, and somewhere behind everyone, there was a cough.
"Perhaps get some work done again?" the butler said, grinning as he brought in a tray with a glass of water and some pills on it. "Sir, I figured you'd want some aspirin."
"Thank you, Wilbur," Edge said, sounding much too relieved as he settled Reese back into his chair. He downed the pills, drank the water, and then turned to Zyan again. "I appreciate the offer, Z. Next time Wilbur bothers me for a day off, I'll be sure to give you a call."

Zyan knew she would have to charm the poor man, so she took a sip from her water and blinked up at the man. Her large eyes having a way to draw people in and make them forget themselves.
"I am sure Wilbur could always use a couple of days off, the poor man must be exhausted having to look after Reese as well look after the house while you are gone." she continued pleasantly, trying ot sound concerned.
"Besides, it would do Reese good to meet other children." She pointed out a valid idea, Reese couldn't stay in his house forever. He needed to make friends. She had to wonder idly about the pills he was taking. Was he an addict? The speculations ran rampart through her brain while she remained innocent looking.

"I know lotth of kidth!" Reese said almost indignantly. "Lotth of friendth, too!" He counted off the people on his fingers when he said their names. "I know Nibal and Noel and...and..." He paused, wrinkling his nose in thought. "Oh! Oh, I know Valenth! He won me that!" Reese's finger pointed at the blue and orange bear on his bed. "And...I know..." Another stop, he tried to remember. There was someone he was missing.
"What about Ala..." Edge started, only to be cut off as Reese suddenly remembered.
"Yeah, yeah! Ala and Jo-jo! They're nithe!" Reese clapped, happy to have remembered all of his friends. "I know Thee, too!" His smile wide up at the girl. "All friendth! Betht friendth!"
Edge couldn't help but smile, lightly ruffling Reese's hair before returning his attention to Zyanya, sounding so very much his fatherly role.
"Reese gets out a lot...I promised him that when he came to live here," he explained gently. There wasn't much to charm...unlike Wilbur (who would have looked positively sour about the idea of Zyanya taking care of Reese if Edge hadn't been right there in front of him), Edge had no bias against the mantis girl. Reese liked her, and she obviously put up with his rambunctious nature with patience.

Zyanya gave a sincere giggle at Reese. He really was too adorable. She didn't even know any of the names of the kids except for Ala, and she only met the girl once.
"That is a lot of kids, " she said with a nod of her head, "but don't you want to meet others? Peoples dragons? Mine hasn't hatched yet or i would let you met him or her." she explained with a nod of her head.
She then looked to Edge and gave a smile and tilt her of her head. "Did you know Reese will be getting a dragon at some point in the future?" she asked wondering just how much Edge knew about D-corp.

Reese's face wrinkled, narrowing his eyes up at his dad. "Yeaaaah." His voice nearly sounded scolding. "Poppa knew...Poppa knew, didn't tell." Reese nearly giggled, his tail flicking happily. Wilbur actually snickered, giving a sort of an "I told you so" look at the black haired man.
Edge sighed, hanging his head guiltily...chuckling in a defeated sort of way. "Mmm, yes. I just neglected to tell Reese that until just a few days ago."
"Thee get dragon too?" Reese asked suddenly, wiggling in his chair. "What kind? Jo-jo ith a Brath, I know that!" Reese nodded. He couldn't read very well yet...but Edge promised that once Reese could, there would be many books for the boy to read about dragons.
So Reese practiced his reading skills every day.

Zyan looked a bit sad for a split second. Her dragon hadn't hatched yet. It was late, and every day it didn't hatch she got worried.
"Well I am suppose to be getting a Green." she commented trying to force her smile back into her words.
"Your getting a Brass? arn't you lucky. they are very pretty." she recalled thining of Ala's dragon named Bob.
