Abel smiled when she seemed to calm down, tail flicking softly. At her question... well, he believed it was a question, it was stated in a curious tone... he nodded. "Yes... That's what humans call those garments on their bodies." He explained, hoping she understood him.
"Well... I guess you can call your ribbon an article of clothing, yes." The tall stallion replied, softly eyeing the red ribbons that adorned her small form. He was even more relieved as she seemed to open up a bit more to him.
Her last statement caused his expression to go blank. Did she want me to take off my clothing? He thought, slight coloring showing up on his cheeks from it. He shook his head, no that couldn't be right. With that, he chuckled awkwardly. "Aha... well, I don't really know... haven't really took them off."

-She listened intently, taking in each explaination before logging it into her memory. Like the humans had. She knew that, she recalled the things that hung from them on the few occassions she'd run into the twolegged creatures. So an obvious question piped up before she could quall it.- "Did the two leggers give it too you then? Do you have a twolegger?"
-It was a strange question, but she'd heard it from another before.. that often soquili would choose to stay with two leggers from time to time. That some were even raised by them.
Not completely oblivious to the awkwardness she'd caused, Ela's reaction skipped apologetic, instead settling on surprise, her eyes searching for his for once. As if she actually had to have the contact to see whether or not he was 'joking', voice taking on an awed quality. - "You really don't know what color your coat is?" -Her eyes flicked from the few visable different colors.. black, beige, white, gold..-

When she had asked him if a human had given him his clothes, he looked up in thought. Like he said, he had his garments as long as his memory permitted, but that wasn't much. He didn't understand why he didn't remember anything, nor how he came to lose all this precious information. He sighed some as he replied. "I'm afraid I don't have an answer for the first question, but yes, I do have a human."
He looked around for a brief moment, making sure he could make his way back home when the time came around, before looking back to her. She had lovely eyes, by what he could see. At this new question, he looked himself over. "Well, besides the obvious white and black of my legs, and the beige I see when I look in a lake... no, I don't. I could be the color of my clothing for all I know."

- Ohhhh, so he did! She wondered what the twoleggers.. no humans DID with soquili, now that she had asked the question. But already she was blathering on question after question, and when the realization hit her, another flush and aversion of her eyes occured.- "I visit the humans sometimes.. To help. But I've never stayed for very long. They seem nice though.."
-Her head tilted a little, letting the hair fall back for a moment, as she watched him curiously once more. She still found it hard to believe that he didn't know.. nor was he curious enough to actually look. But finally, she simply offered a soft smile.- "Well I'm sure it must be more interesting then my plain old white anyway."

He once again noticed her 'draw in' once again... and this time, couldn't help but smile. She seemed so... timid, it reminded him of one of his herd mates. At her statement, he nodded softly to her. "Yes, some of them are quite nice. Though, although I've never met any, there are some not so nice humans out there. I hope you never run into any on your journies to help them though."
His mind wandered once again of the thought of what he might look like underneath his garments. He was certain he wouldn't be too many colors... but rather pretty plain. Speaking of which, he glanced to her with a curious tilt of his head. "What makes you say that you're plain? I think your white suits you. It brings out the color of your lovely wings and mane."

"Oh yes...?" -Her words drawled softly as she took in the troubling information. Only another justification to hide and be timid around others. But at the same time.. she doubted that anyone in need of help would be unnice to her. ((Obviously she needs to read some of Aesops Fables XD))
The nervousness was quickly broken however as he spoke of her appearance, and softly she shook her head.- "I didn't mean it as a bad thing, no. My white and gold remind me of clouds rimmed with sunlight. It's how I was made, and I don't mind it. It's simply nice to see colors, and entricate markings is all."
"Like looking at a flower I suppose? The yellow sunflowers are pretty to look at, but I don't stare nearly as long as I do at the tricolored lilies."

"Again, I don't think you'll have anything to worry about." He comforted. Abel was always the type to see good in everyone, but he couldn't make himself believe that there weren't malicious kinds out there, human or soquili alike.
He listened to her intently as she explained herself and compared her colors to real life. She was quite right now that he thought about it. The thought caused him to smile rather brightly at her. "Yes, multi-colored flowers are nice indeed. But it's the simplicity of the plain flowers that has lots of beauty within themselves, don't you agree?"

-She seemed pleased with his comforting, wing tips rustling a bit in comforted belief, before her mind drifted to his words.-
"It's true. All flowers are beautiful in some way. And when you are talking about other.." -She paused for a moment, unsure of how to word what she wanted, before finally just going on anyway, he would probably get the point.?- "..'things' there is far more then just appearence that makes them beautiful."
"Like the innonence of a very young foal. Or the compassion and selflessness of a good mother. Those make things beautiful too, I think."
"I suppose it becomes tricker for things that move.. because beauty can disgiuse some scary things. And the most plain looking of creatures can have the most beautiful soul."

The stallion was happy to see that she seemed to be starting to become more comfortable around him... or so he hoped.
He listened intently as she talked about the 'inner beauty' of flowers and other things. He nodded in agreeance every now and then, flicking his tail lightly. "I agree with every word you say... including, unfortunately, the fact that outer beauty can hide some nasty secrets, and the fact that a lot seemed to get fooled by it." He told her, his features looking reflective sort of. Although he has yet to come across anyone like that, he was sure he was going to some time in the future.
At her latter comment, the look left him and gave her a serene smile. "Indeed, you are a great example of that... if it's not too forward of me to say."

-Once again those eyes dipped behind the golden strands of her hair, and beneath the soft white fur her cheeks flushed alittle at the compliment. But it wasn't nearly so bad as before.
She WAS getting more comfortable in fact, as long as words kept flowing and her mind was focused on things. Not to mention how comforting and soothing this male was. He didn't push her or threaten her in anyway, quite the oppisite. So she did not back up this time, instead only smiling and half obscuring her blue eyes as she looked away.- "I think you should know someone a little longer before you decided that..."
"But thank you for it anyway.." -Duals sets of wings seemed to shiver and then settled as she looked back to him once more, laughing with a faint hint of embarassment.- "Part of the reason I live in the mountains.. is so I don't run into any of those beautiful tricksters."
"Silly, isn't it?"

Once again, he seemed to embarrass her. Was this a gift of his? Perhaps it was, but at least this time, she didn't seem to reel back as much as she had before. When she smiled at him, he returned it softly. "Oh, I don't think I need to know you longer... I can just tell you have a lovely soul already and your very welcome."
His red eyes watched her multiple wings shiver lightly before glancing back to her eyes, or at least what he could see of them. He smiled and shook his head. "It's not silly at all. Although, it's not really best to leave yourself as a hermit, but it is wise to try to keep yourself safe." He explained lightly.

-His flattery did a number on her, being the relatively humble creature that she was, but her mood and the serene atmosphere the two had created for themselves kept those extreme actions from breaking forth and pulling her away. Again she smile simply, lifting her head up a little more once again, before returning his words with a genuine reply of her own.- "I suppose it is easier to pick up on things like that when your hearts are so similar. Kindred spirts.. I believe they call it?"
-Even if the birds had turned on him, it'd already become remarkably clear that his heart was kind simply from listening to him. He'd not turned away from any long winded nonsense, nor made any attempt to cause her harm. Surely he wasn't anything like those beautiful monsters, he was a flower just like her.
When he next spoke next, she tried hard to hide the little laugh resounded, for fear of sounding rude. Her eyes appearing completely once more to apologize silently for the outburst. She wasn't making fun of him no, it was simply... cute? Yes cute how easily the hard task he was suggesting had slipped from him.- "Maybe one day I'll find some good neighbors" -She added finally, nodding to the good advice.-

"Yes, I do believe that's what it is called." He agreed with a small nod to his head. "To be honest, I never thought I would meet a kindred spirit, everyone is so different in their own way. That is, if you understand what I mean." He added, 'pawing' the ground tentatively, afraid that he didn't make any sense to her.
She was so timid, he couldn't help but worry about saying the wrong thing around her. But at the same time, it was so refreshing to come across one like her, rather than the bold, or even brash types.
"I'm sure you'll find some great neighbors. Company is such a good thing, especially when you really need to talk to someone." He told her with a warm smile. The stallion was unaware how difficult it was or even would be for the mare to meet, let alone, talk to another person since it came so easily to him. But he had faith that she will do it in her own time.
