Helios' maw widened a little into a guarded grin. He was happy to have convinced another to his side but didn't want to reveal his glee quite so openly to the young male. His questions were prescient but Helios had to pause a moment to think how best to reply. It was tue he had no great force right nearby but that would have made it harder to keep things quiet.
"Well, it would be rather... dangerous to keep those with me in one place nearby - the risk of being discovered is too much. I have approached others like yourself, though, and asked them to be ready for my call. Myself and a female - my cousin - were the only ones staying nearby. A daughter of the pack leader felt so disgusted by finding out what he'd done, though, that she has joined us too. There are another few males who are nearby and will be ready at a call." He looked serious now, eyeing the brindle youth. "I'm not saying it will be easy with so few - I don't expect it to be so - but there are not so many more of them who are fully grown and I intend to employ wits as much as muscle into this endeavour.
Helios honestly thought that those he had at the moment were almost enough. In fact he was rather confident he could outwit them what with the few trump cards he believed he possessed. Yes, it would be hard but, ultimately, not a problem for his loyal group once all of Zagreus' pack decided to come to his side or flee in terror.

Valerius nodded as Helios listed those he'd persuaded to his cause. There didn't seem to be very many, but if it was a small pack then it might be possible. Valerius did not intend to die here; not until he'd destroyed his own nemesis. But he'd learned the hard way how to fight in his brushes with other lones and pack scouts during his travels. Perhaps not the best of fighters just now, but he knew enough to keep himself alive. Without the advantage of bulk, his best tactic was speed and agility.
"Very well. I will stay around this area for now. Call when you need me."
Then, with that as a farewell, Valerius turned and made his way back into the forest again. If he was going to fight, then he would have to hunt well to keep his strength up. And he would need to start now.
