Katana'Kitsune heard the growl not too long ago, more like a roar but was softer, gentler, so she had to seek it out, she was curious. She figured it was a gathering of some sort by seeing all those that were coming to one place around a white pelted female. She smiled as she approached slowly, stilla bit nervous about being within a large crowd.

She wondered if Ai would come or not, that would ease her nerves.

Though if she was going to be a babysitter, have a place in the pride, she had to be strong, so she took a spot not too far from another white pelted lioness, though this one had pale yellow markings, and she had teal eyes, she looked nice, as the others did. She said nothing as she took her spot, a bit distant at first, but she felt more accustomed to being within the vicinity of so many after a few minutes.

She was so curious.

He'd been reminded again as to -why- he didn't exactly like the sunlight. Ai felt like he was melting in his dark fur as he too, though not as young as many of the others, rose to go and see what the calling was about...

only to find kids EVERYWHEREEEEEEE.

He'd -never- felt like he was surrounded by so many little buggers before.

But he'd survive, he decided, and furthermore, seeing the ever so familiar shape of Kat in the background, bumped his head against her back as he walked behind her. "You can come closer, Auntie Tai doesn't bite." the adolescent stated, smiling a bit as he continued to walk closer.

Finally, Ai took a seat towards the back of the group, his tail curling about his paws as he nodded in greeting to his aunt.

She had all the best stories, in his opinion.. but he himself would have -never- had the ability to speak in front of all these other lions. Even if most were kids.

"Come on," a little voice urged, that voice belonging to a bouncing form of white and black.

"Amesi, calm down," her father spoke softly. "You don't want to tire yourself out."

That was the problem with parents. They worried all the time. But she loved her father so dearly, she didn't mind it when he worried. In fact, she loved it that someone cared enough to chide her for childish actions. It was a strange feeling, but then she didn't feel any particular need to understand it. She loved her father, end of story.

"But Mommy and the others already left! Come on, we don't want to miss it!" It being the story. Her little mind wondered at the different tales that could possibly be told. She didn't particularly know any, but her imagination could only guess at what the stories could contain. Adventure? Love? Lessons important to life? She wasn't so eager about the last one, but she figured a story was a story, and any story being told was a story she wanted to hear.

"Alright, but don't rush. You don't want anyone there to think you are some crazy child, now do you?" he chuckled, walking quickly to match his daughter's bouncing.

Soon enough, after following the sound of the soft roar from Tai, the pair reached the spot where already adults and cubs and those in between were gathering. Spotting his mate, Kitengele, the purple male immediately made a line towards her, calling, "Amesi, come sit with your mother--"

But the little child was already off among the crowd, most likely looking for someone new to meet and befriend. Normally he would have called her back, but he figured this sort of occasion called for mixing and mingling. Plus, there were other adults that could help to look after her. Letting the child go for now, Ash moved towards his mate, though mindful of Tai; he dipped his head in a polite greeting before turning to Kit.

"Love," he murmured to his mate, coming up beside her and automatically nuzzling her cheek with affection. Noticing one of his daughters beside his mate, he smiled and lowered his head to give her a loving lick to the top of her head.

Amesi, meanwhile, paced eagerly through the group. Who to talk to? Oh, she feared she'd never be able to choose. There were too many possible friends among all the beings there!

Verdad lounged in the sun, swatting at small flowers in her reach when she heard the familiar roar. Well, not too familiar but she had heard it before...somewhere.

It was time already? The lioness yawn greatly, flicking her tail as she lifted herself from the flat rock. With a quick stretch and another wide yawn, the porange lioness was off. It was, afterall, the first time she would get to hear a story was told. She wanted to learn storytelling so badly and the prospects of experiencing it first hand was exhilerating. Red paws took her quickly to the gathering.

At least she loved crowds and finally seeing the parents of all the cubs was a much different feeling than she ever felt before or clearer than before. Could it have been pride to see how well they were all doing? A smile graced her maw as she settled on her haunches. She had no one else to be with but it weas none the less going to be enjoyable in her eyes.

He was late, he knew he must be by now. Tetemeko'd been told about what was going on, after all the time he'd spent with Tai his father had made certain he knew. Meko wouldn't have missed this for anything, even if attention would be split dozens of ways. When he finally found the crowd, which was brightly colored and not hard to see once you got going in the right direction, he had to stop and stare. He'd never been in such a large group, large number wise as well as size wise- it looked like there were as many adults as there were cubs, or more!

"Wow," he muttered, sounding very impressed. It didn't take Meko much time looking around before he spotted the only familiar face in the crowd, not counting Tai- Ayato. He was sitting with a whole bunch of others, but that was to be expected and did not stop Meko from making his way towards him. It was not easy, and in his cub-like ignorance he did not once say 'excuse me' as he went through the crowd to get to someone he knew.

"Ayaaaato~" Meko cried as he scrambled over to him, glancing briefly to the girl he was sitting beside but mostly focussing on Ayato. He did not seem to realize how close it was to starting, and was more concerned with finding himself a seat as near Ayato as he could manage.

(( Woo, late XD Long read when you come in this far in~

Hope it's ok @w@ Meko would go to someone he knows, and Tai is busy.))

"Hello Ai, and thank you, Jini," Tai grinned, nodding to her (great) nephew as she lifted her head again to sit up straight.

"Ai!!" Ayato beamed, grinning ear to ear. It didn't seem like he could settle down to converse with just one lion. First Kia, then Sarakiva, Mzuza, Lio, and Safuma, now Ai. Of course that was to be expected since Ayato idolized his older cousin. Then, another voice caught his attention, and Ayato beamed a little brighter.

"Tete! You made it!" The youth greeted, clearly pleased.

Ausi'juu was busy herding the new little ones towards the group, she and Daimyn's newest three sons and daughter. It seemed like they were going to arrive just about in the nick of time, Tai seemed about ready to get the story started. So, instead of interrupting and cutting in, she guided the four cubs to find seats and joined Xu and Katana, smiling. Ausi's head nuzzled against Xu's shoulder with a gentle purr. (It was hard to believe how big and fast the first five had grown.)

"It seems like quite a gathering." Ausi chuckled, noting that so far the adults almost tied even with the number of children present.

"Alright everyone... I think maybe there are enough of you here that we can get started, hm...?" Tai smiled, getting comfortably situated on her stomach.

((Good lordy this is an emo post. @_@ *hopes it wasn't a bad idea to bring her girls in*))

-A smile had settled upon the adolescent at the pleasantries of the day. Recognition from her dear aunt. And though none of the children or others spoke to her, she was more then content to watch. Such a large meeting was not something she saw often, and simply watching and picking up tiny bits of chatter dragged up her curiousity and joy. She was so glad she'd decided to come.

Grey/green eyes turning softly, Xu swallowed as her mother appeared. Still tender about the little ones that followed so close behind her. Tail curling protectively around herself, she scolded herself for her childishness. And though she couldn't shake the feeling, she smiled softly, returning her mother's nuzzle as the group settled in with her.-

"Okay! Thank you." -She smiled pleasantly, turning tail to try and look for her siblings as the nanny had suggested. Unfortunately the two she saw seemed pretty busy already with some other cubs. In fact everyone seemed pretty busy. And noone's attention was on her at all. That wasn't fair. She didn't care if other people got attention and friends... But what about her? She needed some too.

Silently she let her eyes dance back and forth between the small forming groups, trying to figure out which group to invade, before finally heading towards her copper and golden sisters.- "Safuma, Mzuza. Tai said we're supposed to sit together in the front."

Choa rounded the corner of the worn trail that curled around Pride Rock, and her eyes widened slightly. She couldn't help but be surprised at the number of Pridelanders that had so far shown up for the story, and there were probably still more on their way. She glanced at the pale lioness seated at the front of her audience and shot a grin her way as a greeting, her tail twitching excitedly. She might be a little old for storytelling -- she and her littermates were nearing adulthood, after all -- but who said they couldn't sit in on their aunt's first story?

She cast her golden eyes around and found Xu, who had seated herself near the back of the assembly, and crept around to lay down next to her gold-and-white sister. "Hey Xu," she greeted, keeping her voice down, as Tai's voice cut through the rumble of leonine voices.

Kiasi smiled brightly at Tai, cocking her head happily. "Hey, Miss Tai! Thank you for telling all of us a story today! I'm soooo excited." As soon as she finished speaking, she hurried back to her mother's side.

Kit grinned at the storyteller. "Oh, I love them more than anything, but they sure are a pawful." She bowed her head respectfully before moving and sitting down, curling her tail around Kiasi. When Ash approached, she purred and licked his cheek in greeting. "Hello, love," she said, her eyes sparkling.

"Hi, Amesi..." she started as she saw her pale daughter, but blinked and stopped when she disappeared. Normally Kit would've worried, but there were so many Pridelanders around, all of them trusted by the young mother, that she decided Amesi was perfectly safe. With a smile she watched her mate, not having even noticed her quiet daughter sneak around the back.

"Hey Daddy!" Kiasi squeaked, giggling with he licked the top of her head. Before he could pull back up, she nipped the size of his muzzle lovingly. "Did you come to listen to the story, too?"

The copper cub could see Sarakiva coming up from out of the corner of her eyes. For a moment, she wondered if she had anything that her heiress sister might want. Ah, it was the attention. Mzuza knew better than to ignore her tan sister. Undoubtedly, she had noticed that nobody was paying her any attention, and the copper cub didn't want Sarakiva to throw a tantrum or anything of the sort. She nudged Lio and Safuma. "Well... let's go?" She suggested with a meek smile. She didn't quite want anyone to be unhappy on such an occasion, and as far as Mzuza could see, being in the front wasn't a disadvantage.

Lio looked over at the all the other lions, still amazed at how many there were. He had never had the chance, until now, to see so many of his pride. He was still young, he knew, but he wanted to meet as many of these interesting lions as he could.

Looking over at yet another sister, he smiled at her and introduced himself, "I'm Kialio." He said with a nod of greeting, then followed Zu towards the front row. He felt so out of place, and he remained very bashful as he took a seat in the front with his new friends.

She flitted her tail irritably when she heard her sister's voice call out. If she had been a human child, she would have slipped her hand in Lio's and given it a brief squeeze, but instead she only shout him a funny smile that spoke of multiple emotions. The smile really lied along the lines of 'grin and bear it', but she hoped it was humorous enough to give the other cub some reassurance before she rose to her feet to come to the front. She didn't do it for Sarakiva, she comforted herself, she did it for Tai. Plopping down in the front a few feet from her other sister, she looked between Mzuza and Lio before glancing up at Tai. The lioness was ready to begin, and she was more than ready to listen. Looking at Mzuza, her scarlet eyes widened in suppressed elation before she smile and returned her attention to Tai.

Ai beamed as he was given a rather loud call of recognition from his baby cousin. If he'd been standing still long enough for it, the boy would've placed a dark paw on the lighter male's head. However, that was not the case due to the fact it seemed he was off again.

So he watched him with a grin, before looking back towards where he'd left Kat.....

just to find that his mother and younger siblings had arrived and joined her.

The dark male couldn't help but rise back up to his paws, back-tracking from his location to go greet his family, which was seeming to get bigger and bigger, though, in habit, he couldn't help but shoot a watchful eye over the group of royal cubs that had clustered. Perhaps it was habit, though.

"Mom, Sis." He nuzzled his mother in affectionate greeting, before bumping his head against his 'baby sister's shoulder. It was still hard to see he had a BABY baby sister. So they were both the baby sister in his eyes.

"I see you both found Kat." Ai said in awkward conversation, turning his head to look towards his mate with a smile.

Mzuza caught Safuma's look and shrugged. At least it wasn't horrible. She sat herself down next to Safuma and Lio, and looked over to Sarakiva. "So? Coming?" She smiled at her sister and scooted over slightly to make plenty of room for the spoiled litle princess. At least she was cute.

Ashki chuckled slightly at his daughter, nudging her playfully with his nose after she had nipped him. "That's right. I've come to watch it with you and your mother." Unless Kiasi wanted to go off with her friends. Then that was different. He would keep to Kitengele, as he was slightly shy in such a big group, but he silently encouraged his children to socialize and make some friends. They'd be important all up until adulthood.

Lifting his head back up, the purple lion settled down next to his mate, laying so close that their fur brushed softly.

He was going to chat more with his mate, but one glance at Tai told him that she was about to start the story very soon. Not wanting to interrupt in any way, he opted to remain silent next to Kit, his tail reaching for hers.

Meanwhile, in another part of the group, Amesi was still searching the group with her glowing blue eyes for someone to talk to. But it seemed that everyone had already broken off into their own little groups. She was left alone, with no one to really talk to. She frowned and sat down for a moment, all by herself. She supposed she could go back to her parents, but she wanted to make new friends!

Determined more than ever, she rose back up to her paws and resumed looking around at the gathering group. That was when she noticed that they were all settling down, looking expectantly at Tai. Was the story about to start? Oh no, she hadn't even found a place to sit yet!

Hurrying about, she accidentally ran into a figure larger than herself, but no more less white. Glancing up quickly, she noticed it was a lioness, white with gold markings. Amesi was intrigued and awe-inspired by the gold on the other's pelt, and for a moment she merely stared. But then she remembered her manners and shook her head.

"Oh! I-I'm sorry," she stammered, shy for the first time in her life. "I was just... uhm.."
