Well, he did say in the recent chapter: "She has abilities that I need." I'm pretty sure that it's what he's looking for in Karin, not exactly the estrogen.When Karin outright refused at first, Sasuke pretty much let go of the topic and probably had some other person in his mind. I'm thinking that he had other choices besides Karin, though she was the best one, and he didn't mind dropping her like a hot potato. I'm guessing that it's really just the ability he's looking for because if being a girl were the case, he'd probably threaten her to come with him.

I'm curious about that because... well... if it is, then why isn't he a Konoha shinobi? Being Zabuza's underling would make him a Mist shinobi, wouldn't it?

About the first theory:
They seemed to know what they were talking about, but they were so obviously biased about the SasuSaku pairing that it made everything they said null and void.
As stated by Tenshi no Hana-chan, the Oedipus Complex is how men are attracted to women who act like their mothers. And in looking back at certain panels of the manga, Sakura's mannerisms are more similar to Mikoto's than Karin's mannerisms are.
My own theory:
Karin's character design is contradicting. Her upper body is completely clothed, but around her stomach her clothes become extremely skimpy. And her hair on one side seems messy, but on the other it is very neat. Sasuke stated that she could change her personality quite fast.
All that leads me to believe one of two things: Karin is a very calculating woman(I prefer to thing this way) or she has a split personality. What do you guys think?

As for Suigetsu being Sai's brother, here's a thread that kind of made me consider it...

Looking at the pictures, well, I'd say that's pretty much suffficient proof to make me consider it.
I find Genere-san's comment about Sakura being like Mikoto interesting, though. Why do you think so?

New Theory-- Do you think Hidan will be coming back to bite everyone in the a** since he isnt' TECHNICALLY dead and he seemed like a prime subject to betray Akatsuki >.>?

Interesting thought. I'm thinking that Shikamaru will be digging his head out and asking him questions... possibly on Tsunade's orders. If they're going to go against the Akatsuki, they might as well exhaust all the resources they have, and Hidan is probably brimming with Akatsuki information. Besides the fact that Hidan seems to be working for his religion rather than for the Akatsuki, and the group was just some kind of way to reach other things, he would seem to be the most liable to give out information and betray the Akatsuki.

Wouldn't zetsu devour hidan to keep him quiet or get rid of him for good? To prevent him of speaking freely about the akatsuki/members/plans.
Also wasn't jiraiya the one that warned everyone about the akatsuki and thwarted the kidnap attempt on naruto. Also from the rescue garra arc they found out what they are truly after.
I think if they dig his head out of the hole and try to interrogate hidan he will be cursing like a sailor.

The thing is, I don't think that Konoha knows what Akatsuki's after (other than Naruto). We didnt' even find out until Hidan asked and basically stated his distaste for Akatsuki's ways and how he didn't plan to give his all to them (which is another reason that makes me wonder if that was his plan from the start-- not to give his all and end up like he is now)
If Zetsu was going to eat him, I think we would have seen it isntead of having the whoel thing left open. for all we know Leader will just assume that Hidan will stay stuck in the ground and can't do any harm in a million pieces, or they may want to get him back later. He's like a never ending resource of power-- all you have to do is sew him back together and he's off rofl
