I love rpg's, Morrowind & Diablo 2 are my all time favourites.

I haven't played the PS2 Tomb Raiders, heard they were crap to play with the analogue stick.

I love computer games. I play a lot less than I used to since the kids came along due to time restrictions lol. I am getting them micely addicted though twisted I currently play Animal Crossing on the DS with them (we have seperate towns) and we all play fairly simple multiplayer games like Gauntlet or Star Wars Battlefront on the PS2 (they are only 9 & 7 so not up so proper RPG's or RTS yet). They obviously love stuff like lego star wars/ cars etc but I tend to leave them to those games.
My hubby and I play things like Age of Empires (2 is my favourite even though we have played 3 a lot) or Rpgs like Baldurs Gate on the pc's as we havea home network. Despite not being an RPG Diablo 1 & 2 are fun especially in co-op lol.
I like things like the Sims if I am playing alone.

I never played Morrrowing personally so I won't comment on that, but I must say that Oblivion is absalutely wicked. Its taken what Final Fantasy 1 started years ago and blown it to pieces. 3nodding

Leigh i think it's great that you play games with your kids, people say it's bad for kids but i disagree, it's teaching them hand to eye co-ordination 3nodding

I've got Morrowind on my computer now but I haven't played on it yet.

I had a crazy sim-type game called Tropico on it some time ago--you were the king of a pirate island & had to set everything up to keep your pirates happy, your captives working on the farms, etc. peacefully & build up ships to send out on the seas & get loot, supplies & even more captives, some of whom were rich & could be ransomed. You built varying status levels of gambling dens, bars, eateries & um--places that used wenches for entertainment. smile The more experience your crew got the better their quarters on the island got & the better entertainments they demanded to stay happy. You'd end up growing tobacco & making cigars for them, making good whiskey, pies & other food better than slop, etc. It was pretty weird! lol

I think like most things as long as you don't allow them to do that and nothing else they will be fine.
The games like lego star wars also teach them problem solving and working together if they co-op. A lot of kids these days have forgotten how to work together and take turns so anything that encourages that I think is good.
Mainly it's just a fun thing to share/do together.
Talking of "old" games I just bought Theme Park for my DS...I spent lots of hours on that when it first came out on the pc and it's fun going back and revisiting it, they have just updated it a little but the basic gameplay is the same...lots of little people throwing up rofl

They made Theme Park for the Saturn, didn't they?
I do have a game like that for my Saturn. I like to make huge, insane roller coasters that actually send people flying through the air when the speed & tight turns whip them off! I make the food really greasy & load the drinks with caffeine & sugar. Barfing can be heard constantly! mrgreen
My problem with the game is the people start acting weird when the park gets really big & crowded--like cleaners that stop cleaning their whole routes & run in little cirlces in one area, or the entertainers all walking outside to stand on the sidewalk doing their shtick for no one, or people trying to walk through the front wall of the park for some reason. Dozens of them, eventually, all hungry & angry! :X

theme Park World is a bit crap, my ex had it for a while then took it back, you soon get bored with it, which you're less likely to do with Rollercoaster Tycoon, i still love those games 3nodding

i have completed TPW in all 4 theme's available 3nodding that was quite fun, but you're right - you can get bored with it - Roller Coaster Tycoon is much better 3nodding i love RCT3 , despite the fact that it's quite difficult to complete the scenarios :O
