Victor chuckled a bit at that and nodded softly. "I put out a sssmall note on that community board about one on one sssessionss, but no hitsss there, and ssstill have to get rid of the old clothesss I can't wear anymore, and jussst need to get things rearranged and new furnature...like a couch inssstead of a chair, can't sssit down anymore"

The long silky black tail moved slowly back and forth behind her head, which clearly showed that she was at ease. "Well I'll see if I can come the next time you had one," she said cheerfully. It wasn't pity, Maryke did not pity. Although she still wasn't sure why she was so much more accepting of people then she had been preisland. Then again, there was nothing like being turned into an animal against your will to give you a real eye opener to humanity.
She nodded, "Yeah, I can see.....how that might happen. Have you asked the labs to give you a hand..."

The lizardman's tail brushed though the dirt as he nodded
"You don't have to wait, jussst call my duplexs anytime if you'd like to talk."
Victor told Markye, having to shift his hold on the tree
"I haven't asked the labsss to help with that yet, I haven't called them in a while, lassst time I did I didn't get very good newsss, sso jussst trying to plan exactly what I'd like to do before I have it done"

"Will do," she said, with a grin firmly placed across her maw. And as strange as it were she might just take him up on his offer. There was no fear of rejection as Maryke was constantly worrying about what people thought about her. It wasn't just vanity, it was oddly enough deep rooted insecurities.
"Ohhh I see, well maybe there's some islanders that would help you? I've seen people come up with pretty ingenous ideas around here. I'd offer, but...." she shrugged, "Bout the only thing I can do is...juggle," she added with a small laugh.

Victor did smile in return, Markye's good mood rubbing off onto him and taking away the awkwardness of their initial run-in with each other.
"It be mossstly jusst taking thingsss out, like the wardrobe my clothesss were in, jussst don't need it anymore. But don't need to russsh on getting it done, got more than enough time on my handss now"

The mutant Lizardman nodded to that and chuckled at the arm flexing the lemur-woman did, shifting his feet a moment, the extra legs hanging off his sides twitching. "I read sssome about the type of lizard I got with my ssserum, and It likesss to climb treess, but I'd be afraid if I tried that I might not be able to get back down, hardessst thing for me wasss dealing with having to crawl around"

Maryke couldn't help but chuckle a bit at that, now resting her bottom on a nearby tree stump and crossing one leg over the other as she talked with the strange lizard man, tail swaying in the air all the while. Occasionally her eyes would tick down to the abnormalities that she was sure wasn't supposed to be there and then her hazels would drift back up to the mouth speaking, always remembering to keep herself in check. If this had been another time or place then the two would not be talking so casually. She would pass him off as a deformed freak and that would be the end of it. Even though he obviously wasn't a freak back on mainland, all the same, even if she'd just arrived here she'd be acting the same way as she would back home. What then had changed.
Men or animals, which was the one that changed her, the deciding factor in her new ability to put up with people. Or perhaps it was an inner awakening that lay dormant for so long. In any case when she looked upon Victor she was able to see past the fear that was present in her just a few short minutes ago. And it helped that the conversation was now shifting to something she greatly enjoyed. Trees.
"Oh that's how I was the first time I climbed," she said with a wave of her hand. "I was already at the top and was terrified I'd be stuck up there for all eternity, but believe it or not, it's not really that hard. But yeah crawling around," she shook her head, "I'm sure that is hard."

Victor nodded "Not ssso bad now that I've learned not to trip over thessse extra legss on my sssidess, and getting better at jussst managing " the lizardman wiggled the extra legs that were on his sides before pulling himself closer to the tree to hook the extra limbs into the bark of the tree he was leaning against, helping take some of the weight from his forelegs and upperbody
"What elsssse do you like to do, to ssspend the time?"

She nodded, eyeing his legs as she mentioned them.
"Hmmm? Oh, " she thought about it for a moment. What was it she did besides stay cooped up in her duplex most of the time. Well most of her time was spent with Billy or the trees. There wasn't really much besides that.
"Not much," she said almost sadly, "There's not really a whole lot to do here."

"That hasss been a problem I've found...thingsss get repetitive, there are only ssso many moviesss to watch, booksss to read, If I'm not doing either of thossse I'm either ssspending time at the beach, eating or ssssleeping."
Victor shifted his hold on the tree again, and shuffled his feet, even though it was easier to speak like this, his hips were no longer positioned to allow him to stand up.
"Alot of people ssseem to be content to do their own thing, and can be difficult for folksss to get together sssometimess, hopefully the theater can maybe change that a bit."

Maryke nodded in silent understanding until the theatre was mentioned. At those words she down right beamed, almost in a proud sort of way. "I'm hoping it does too. Billy's really been working hard on it, it'd be a shame if nothing came from it." She smiled a bit, thinking back to her octopusian boy toy, "Really somethin', you know...."

"It would be a ssshame with ssso many folksss all working on it, though I believe It issss getting clossse to being done now" Victor nodded and finally he couldn't hold himself up comfortibly any longer and pulled his claws out of the tree, and carefully lowered himself down to the ground, at least for now, looking up at the lemur-woman.
"I haven't been by the theater for a while though, mossstly becaussse there isssn't much I could do to help"

Maryke smiled slightly when he moved to a sitting position. She was still on the stump, but at looking down at him once again she moved off the stomach and sat crossed legged in front of him, trying to do it as slyly as she could so he wouldn't think she was trying to pity him. The former madam had issues with pity, she simply refused to do it. Either you wanted do something for someone, or you didn't. There shouldn't be a grey area of feeling the need to out of pity.
"Oh I'm sure there is something, Billy has all these crazy ideas. He seems to be taking just about anyone," she said matter of factly.

Victor nodded and smiled as Markye sat down in front of him, he felt it was nice that she would be considrate like that "I'm sssure there isss, I haven't ssseen Gaiusss in a while though and I haven't met Billy yet. The bessst I probably could do issss pusssh thingss around"
