MadnessFreak Won't let you use reverse slashes here. Also, atm is actually 'at the moment'. Depends on how you are using it. ANd I have seen it various times used as At the mall but never as at the moment.

"kk = okay okay?"
I asked a friend about this one. She said that it just means "ok" and is quicker than typing o and k. God forbid it should take more than the speed of sound.
Also, kay, k, and k-ers are forms of 'okay,' I was told.

Maybe it's location based, since the word 'mall' doesn't exist in Britain. confused

Well it also just depends on who you are talking to in general. People make up there own forms of txt tlk though. I've seen other stuff that I've never seen before and had it explained to me and I was like 'Um...ok o.O;;'.

What about stuff like "r0xx0rz," "haxx0rz," etc.? Things that are half leetspeak and half txt-tlk? I'll see what I can remember about these and get back to you later.
Have you thought about doing more than definitions, e.g., add part of speech, possible origins, etc.? I started a thread like that (I didn't see yours sweatdrop ) It would be more complete that way, and it'd also look better, more professional, and it would give more information.
(Wish me happy birthday! heart )

For the most part, I can read txt tlk, but I occasionally get confused. I'll refer back to this post when necessary! You're awesome.

I have a few of the more obsure smiles to add...
=^_^= = Cat face (usually used with anime fans) =^w^= = Cat face (variation) =X = puckering up for a kiss =P = sticking tongue out (like :-p ) XP = Goofy sticking tongue out (usually used in the context of sarcasm, like :XP: on gaia!) ^_^; = an anime 'sweatdrop'. (used with-you guessed it- anime fans, like sweatdrop ) ^_^U = sweatdrop (variation) ()_() = either a variation of O_O or a 'blank look' %_% = of having 'four eyes' (Ha!) >_< = An angry/frustrated emote (usually amounts to 'This is stupid; I want to hurt you' X_O = someone poked you in the eye z_z = either 'I'm sleepy' or 'I'm not paying attention' L_L = closed eyes O-O = glasses []_[] =rectangular glasses, or a variation of O_O X_x = injured, not dead x_x = slight pain, as in 'that joke was so dumb it hurt' (not to be confused with X_X, which means 'dead', as you all know!) `_` =looking up or having really small eyes. dunno, really. @~@ = being insane ?_? = questioning or confused
oh, and here's some fancy-smancy stuff too. Usually used to be silly.
<*>>>< = fish @-'-,-'--- = rose --1-- = flipping the bird. (sorry! I get flipped off all the time on boards cuz I tell them to not spell 'the' as 'teh'!) --/ = Rock on!
>_> That's all I can think of for now.
