Makiya was glad that he had a good ability to smell things that were off in the distance. The only thing her nose could focus on at that moment was the disgusting smell of the muck that covered her. The mare hoped she wouldn't smell like this forever. She gave her body a quick shake before she started trotting behind him. He was slightly quicker than her, since he seemed to be a race horce. She looked around slightly as she followed the male, trying to catch sight of some peppermint leaves that she could possibly roll around in. She smiled as she saw a small patch of them, and took in their scent. "If this mud leaves a foul stench, we could possibly use the pepermint plants to leave a better scent." Makiya hoped her idea wasn't too far-fetched, and would actually work.

His ears swiveled as he turned to look at her with inquiry, "Peppermint leaves?". He pondered to himself why such a thing could be wanted or needed. Still she was trying to lighten the situation a bit so he should be a little more cooperative and not spook her off, though in the beginning he would have intended to.

"Perhaps. But lets see what this water up here does first. Does wonders to get this crap out of your fur." He took off in a light trot hoping she'd follow. Sunday rather hated being in the condition he was in because he was a proud racehorse with dignity.

Reaching the water he gritted his teeth in annoyance. It was cold! He didn't care though as his swift legs carried him to a section that surrounded his lower body up to his withers. Tossing his head back and forth he stamped the muddy undertow moving the undesirable garbage out of his fur. Turning his head he checked to see if she followed him. She'd look much better not covered in that much and mire, he was sure of it.

Makiya caught up to the steed, and stuck her front hooves in the water without thinking, then quickly withdrew them. A sudden twitch engulfed her body from the sudden coldness of the water. "Oh goodness, I wasn't expecting it to be freezking, though I should have...." Slowly she inched herself into the water, giving a slight shiver every now and again. She walked as far as her legs could carry her in the water, sadly not being able to go as far as the steed.

She shook her body and legs, trying to get the muck off of her. Backing up a few feet she smiled, since the water was working quite well to clear her coat. The mare looked down at her reflection and frowned, since she still had a good deal of dirt and grime on her. She suddenly disapeared under the water, hoping that this would clean her fully. She shook again before emerging with a small gasp. Makiya shook her head from side to side, letting the wet strands of her mane fly messily around before resting over her shoulder, neat and curly.

Now he felt less congested and irritably frozen with how frigid that water had been. But oh how his fur carried that luxurious sheen once more as he shook the excess water off fully. A wave of ripping black that hung down his neck and off the hindquarters as he always liked his mane and tail to be.

Now Sunday wasn't vain, but he was a purebred racehorse and desired to look that way. Couldn't have his form looking mangled and otherwise unkempt now could he? Snorting he glanced over at what he thought was still muck filled with mire. But what Sunday saw wasn't a filthy creature, but a rather stunning one that mirrored the water droplets that flicked off from her shaking head like a gentle rain.

A small and brief smile painted his maw entranced how different she looked now. Where there used to be a grayish green film, there lied a pale cream color with raven black silk pouring over her shoulders like black water.

Alright she's cleaned up. Now you should go and leave before you say something to keep her here. What are you waiting for?

But he didn't do just that ignoring his subconscious, rather he wadded over toward her clearing hist throat, "Cold as ice isn't it? Wouldn't stay in there way too late or you'll catch a cold. Nice coat by the way."

Yeah he was being polite for a change, like he cared what anyone else was thinking.

Shivering, the mare looked her body over again as best as she could. Seeing no more muck she looked to the male as he spoke. She hid a faint smile from the compliment and bowed her head slightly. "Thank you." She slowly pushed her way through the water, though she tried to move as fast as she could. "Its freezing, yes. Yet the water feels like it doesn't want me to leave with how slow its making me." The lower the water walked, the faster she was able to go. She smiled triumphantly as she made it to the shore. "Your fur has a nice sheen as well."

Makiya shivered as a soft wind blew. She hadn't a clue how they were going to dry off. She huffed slightly, blowing a peice of hair out of her face. "The water feels warmer than this breeze..." The mare stated softly, not quite complaining, but rather hinting towards wishing to be dry.

He watched her amazed how the local obscenities such as muck and mire could do a complete makeover on another standing nearest to you. Now that they were both cleansed of the garbage he realized they were basically freezing their rumps off. The fact night was setting in wasn't anything to bring his high hopes anywhere either.

He looked around him momentarily seeing if there was some form of shelter from the frigid breath the winter was bringing with her. What he wouldn't give for a sunny afternoon basking in the summer's heated rays from the glowing orb in the sky. Now he had to content with both of them not getting sick or weak.

Noticing a clump of covered trees he nodded to it, "We could stand over in that if you're not afraid to spend close quarters with a rogue stallion like me". He meant it in a nice way though his tone always did come off pushy or not nice most times.

Makiya shook her body slightly, trying to get at least some of the water off of her. The mare tossed her mane to one side again, listening to what male had to say. She looked towards the clump of trees that the stallion had nodded to. She tilted her head to the side, contemplating whether it would be much better than their current position. She looked back to the male and smirked. "The question is, are you afraid to stand close to a mare like me." She let her smirk grow before she trotted towards the clump of trees. The mare bowed her head as she entered the the area where the trees were, shifting so he would have room. Instantly she had felt warmer, since the winter wind wasn't as harsh in that area. She gave a shivver as her body started to get used to the new climate inside the clump of trees.

"I'm sorry," Makiya started before looking at him. "I really wish we could have met in a better way. Me being stuck in the mud, and you coming to rescue me...." She trailed off for a moment, stuck in thought. "But that's the past. Oh! I'm not sure if I have introduced myself yet." She gave a soft bow and looked up at him with her silver eyes. "My name is Makiya," She tilted her head before continuing, "Now who may I thank?"

Sunday grunted feeling the bitter cold n** at his sides and legs. The night was setting in already and winter was a miserable thing to him. The numbing feeling the white stuff gave him was a bitter and uncomfortable feeling. He just couldn't understand why Celendria seemed immune to it, standing for hours on end in something that would literally freeze your tail off. He thought of her as weird but he did respect the mare after all, for she did let him stay within the clearing if he needed shelter. It wasn't an everyday thing so he was fine with that.

Moving into the clearing himself where she had tread his inhibitions weren't as bad. At Least she trusted him to share a little warmth because even if he was stubborn he could stand for a bit more closeness to gather heat to keep his joints and muscles from burning.

"I am Sunday Silence" he nodded with a firmness to his introduction, "And no worries on a better way of meeting. If it weren't for this mess I would have never stopped to say anything since I keep away from others most of the time. Never a bad thing when things happen the way they do Makiya."

He still was being quite the stubborn mule right now as always feeling inward about things and not sharing them with others.
