The "oof" made Noyana turn in an instant. It was a sound she didn't want to hear- a message that the wall was un-climbable. She ran over instantaneously to try her luck, and lept at the wall with all her strength. Her muscles shook as she held her spot. Noyana knew that she'd been growning in the last few months, and doubted she would've been able to hold the position a few weeks ago. However, when she tried to move one of her paws up, it slipped on a hidden shiny rock in the wall, and she too landed in a rather undignified lump at the base of the wall.
The sound of the bone dropping echoed through the cave as Chaka watched from a distance her friends try to get out.
"Certainly we're not stuck down here, are we?" She asked either of them. Noyana seemed too busy calculating to answer.

"Stuck," confirmed Sen. Young as she was, the cub didn't sound too distressed, and one might wonder if she had been in a similar situation. That, or if she was just totally crazy.
The cub prowled down a ways, attempting to claw her way up the wall at that point. It was as successful as the previous time, and now she began to look frustrated. "Stuck!"
It was true. They were stuck.

Just as calmly as Sen had been, Noyana agreed. "Yup, we're stuck." There was no way that she could see to get out of this hole. "It's just too slippery for lion claws." She concluded with one quick nod. She watched as Chaka tried to get out, and slid back down. Noyana let out as many cries as she could, all of a sudden. "HELP US!" She hollered, the echo of her voice simply had to catch someone's ear.
Chaka wished she could be as calm as Noyana. However, her cautious side was starting to rear it's head. Stuck? How can we be stuck??? She paced rather quickly, then re-centered herself by the bigger lions. She'd never panicked before, but she was beginning to.
Amaterasu had awoken that morning after a very peculiar dream... She had dreamed that Kaede's girl and that random yellow lioness cub she'd met ages ago were both trapped in a hole with some strange cub. She'd been contemplating the meaning of it under an acacia tree all day, and she still couldn't figure out the meaning of it. That was, until she heard a voice in the distance calling.
She pricked up her ears immediately and headed towards the source of the sound. She picked up Chaka's scent... and followed it intently to the crack in the earth, just as had happened in her dream. She peeked her nose over the edge to see none other than Chaka, Noyana, and the white cub from her dream. Sometimes, Amaterasu loved her seer powers.
"What on earth are you all doing down there?" She called, only her head visible from the bottom of the cave.

Sen nodded. Or, half-nodded. Half way through the motion, the other lioness had yelled out, and Sen fell down and pressed her paws against both her ears. Loud!
Her eyes creeped back open and her paws settled back on the ground. Someone else was yelling. Not close, though. Lifting her head skyward, Sen spotted the... whatever it was. "Stuck!"

"Dahabu'Chaka! Are you guys ok?" Ammy hollered. She didn't know who the other cub was, and couldn't remember the little yellow cub's name. "Hang on, I'll get some way to get to you guys!" She sat back and disappeared from the line of vision from the bottom of the cave. What was it I did next in my dream.... What was it... Ammy racked her memory for the solution. Ah, yes!
"Follow me!" she said, trotting along the edge down to one end of the crack so they could see her. "And watch out! Back up a bit!" She called, then vanished from view.
"Yeah!" Chaka said before following obediently, unsure of exactly what the Maned Wolf was doing. She heard some banging from above, and some scratching, and then a huge crack! Ammy had howled something into the crevace, but it was unintelligable. However, when Chaka looked up, she could see half of a tree falling down.
"Move it!" She demanded as she dashed out of harms way.
Certainly this maned wolf is a fool, Noyana had thought when Ammy told them to run to one end. However, now that the majority of a tree served as a bridge, she could see the sense in the Maned wolf's logic.
The tree's trunk didn't lead all the way out, but it led up to about 5 feet of cliff edge that was made of soft soil- easy to climb. As she walked across the trunk, she could see that the wolf hadn't uprooted the tree either- but that it was dead. Tons of bugs came crawling out of a knot as she passed. The wolf had known it was a dead tree, and toppled it at the weak point, probably by ramming it. Noyana checked to see that Sen was set to climb, loaded Chaka onto her back, and dug her claws into the soft soil.

This was the greatest adventure Sen had ever had! You know, now that they no longer risked starving to death without anyone ever knowing. Happily, she trotted behind Chaka and Noyana, hurriedly backing up at the sudden call. She winced as the tree fell, but understood quickly what was going on.
Her tiny claws dug into it's surface, and she was climbing up, up, up, stepping carefully over the mass amounts of bugs (and silently thankful she wasn't afraid of them.) The surface was getting closer, and Sen thought about how to tell her mother of her explorations that day without giving her a heart attack...
