Cualtzin smiled and watched her trot off. He started to trot after her to see where exactly she was going. Dodging trees, and low brush as he went, he continued to follow her. She must have extra good sent or something. He still hadn't smelled anything.

Tika continued forward. As she got closer, she finally caught a good wiff of the smell. "Berries." She said under her breath, as she trotted a little faster.

Berries? Well, that would be a reason for her to think something smelt good. He loved them, though hated the pain that some types came with. Pricklie things on them. Wasn't good for the mouth. A tint of blood would always come with the berries. Though, there were some that weren't with pricklie things.
"Oh!" He tried to keep up with her the best he could. Being a tad slower then her, didn't help at all.

She slowed down a bit, so he could catch up. She caught their scent again, much stronger this time. "They must be close." She said, as she followed the strong scent.

Cualtzin could hardly smell what she was talking about. A light hint of sweetness filled his nostrles. Mmm berries, his mouth started to water as they got closer. He hadn't eaten all day. Not one single thing. His belly growled aswell.

Using just her nose to guide her, she trotted through towards the berries. She hadn't been hungry, until she had smelled the berries, she loved berries too much to pass them up.

Still following her, Cualtzins belly growled more. He would certainlly have to fix this. Indeed! Good thing she found berries, or he wouldn't be able to eat anything.

She soon spotted them, just across a small stream. Which wasn't deep, just a bit wide. It was no matter to her, a few quick flaps and she could be over the river. She waited to see what Cualtzin would do.

Without even thinking if the river was deep, he stept in. As soon as the cold water hit his hooves, he smiled. He loved the water. Looking now at how deep it was, it wasn't that deep. It'd only reach his belly at deepest. Though, the current was moving fast.
He took easy steps closer to the other shore line. It made it a bit hard with the slippery rocks. "It'll take me a minute or two to cross over." He said with a smile still looking down at the water. Mostly to watch where he stept. Carefully he crept closer and closer to the other side.

Tika watched as he stepped into the water, of course it would be easy for her. She stepped back, until she was about ten feet from the river. With a few quick galloping strides, she launched herself into the air.
With a few quick flaps of her wings, she gained enough speed, to glide across. She soon landed with a light thud, on the other side of the river.

Even if Cualtzin had wings he'd walk in the water. The dangerous stuff was always more fun. Though, he hardly did anything dangerous having kids and a mate. He wouldn't know how it would be without him. He took a few more careful steps.
He was now past the middle. So, the hard part was over, now came the more slippery rocks from the water not moving as fast. He took his steps more carefully. His eyes still on the rocks beneath the water.

Tika stood by the edge of the river, waiting for him to reach the other side. She never liked to get her wings wet, since it was quite hard to fly with wet wings.

Soon, Cualtzin made it to the other side with the mare. He was smiling stupidly, wet from the knees down. "That was fun!" He said as he took as step to get the water off his leggs.
" Shall we go get some berries now? " He said excitively.

He watched the mare go to the berries before he, himself went over too. It was the gentlemen thing to do to let mares eat first. He went and found his own bush of berries and started eating some of them. Boy where they good. Though, he'd rather have cookies then some berries.
