yep, cause if fluff is to be believed, the dark age was something of a technological rebellion which threw terra into chaos. The emperor was the hero that saved the day, and he destroyed most of the technology.

examples of destroyed technology...

Baneblade and Hell hammer (I think its called) specs. Last remaining baneblades/hell hammers, are on mars.

Advanced plasma and hyperspace technology.

No wrong. The Emperor did not destroy all technology.

If you read up on super-heavy fluff for example, it is said that during the time of the Great Crusades and the Heresy whole legions and companies of super-heavy tanks were fielded. Most of the knowledge of then has been lost through the Heresy. On Terra there once was a great library of knowledge, this was destroyed during the opening volleys of the traitors when they assailed Terra.

Another reason for the low numbers of high-end devices and weapons is because while the knowledge is there, everything is seen as a ritual now. Every part needs to seemingly be blessed and anointed before use, to appease the spirit of the machine.

Oh so it was lost during the heresy confused

Hmm. Why is that locked and archived, anyway? I don't see why it should be.

((Plasma technology is one of the few remaining technologies that the Tech-Priest actually have a full understanding of. The place to be for plasma tech is Ryza. They are the only peeps that still have full knowledge on Plasma manipulation.))
