"That's where the green lady works, right?" Writ said, in a knowing tone.
He pointed north. "It's a few blocks thataway."
That's when Writ noticed something different about Fish. He glanced something on the kid's neck. They were cuts of some kind, slits, more. This wasn't the first time he's seen some godlike qualities in people he met. So this is why Fish mentioned Seasons.
Coyote glanced casually through the kid's eye, more Gods... Writ seemed to have a knack of finding them. Just not the means of knowing, yet, he'll have to talk to the kid eventually, but not right now.
"Why?"

"Here we go again," thought MJ to herself as Fish asked that very same question. "That question only has some importance, just to see how much you knew about the Game. Really nothing more."
To some extent the question told a lot about a person, but to an extent it seemed kind of redundant. If you asked her?
MJ sat down, across from Writ and listened as Fish and Writ spoke to one another about the issue of Seasons.

"The green lady?" asked Fish, having never heard that particular name for Miss Floros before. He had to ask the questions. It was part of identifying godlings and giving them further instructions. After all, some had already found the game, but others needed a little guidance. And Fish worked for Miss Floros.
"Did she give you anything?" he asked, scratching idly at a gill. They seemed to pulse as he breathed, if you really payed attention to them. He felt more careless, knowing he was in the presence of other players.

Writ did have something, two things, only one of them was hanging on his neck right now. The obsidian arrowhead was underneath his shirt. He was about to take it out and show too, but...
The cuts moved. Writ paused and his eyes widened. Okay, they weren't as cool as Crow's wings, but just the fact that they moved made them just as interesting.
"Wow..." Writ said in honest amazement, "What are those?"

MJ watched as the gills moved on Fish's neck when he spoke to Writ, and the amusement that Writ saw in the small slits movement.
"Writ seems to be easily amused by things that moved," thought MJ as she watched the other Godling show interest in Fish's physical characteristics.
"So Fish has gills and webbed hands; Writ has pointy ears," noted Maria to herself as the two other Godlings continued to chat and learn about one another's physical characteristics.

"Gills," said Fish, succumbing to the urge to show off. He held up a hand and spread his fingers to show the elasticity of the skin between them. "And I've got webbed hands and toes, too." He smiled.
"Yeah? So did she give you anything?"
The subject was not going to drop while Fish was on the case.

Gills? Like what fish have? Oh, so that's why everyone called him Fish... His nickname made a lot more sense.
"Sweet." Writ smiled, he's already liking a lot of these Godlings. There was just an undeniable coolness about them.
"So you're part of The Game too?" It was obvious at this point.
This wasn't really a ploy to steer off subject, Writ just liked asking questions. And getting off topic.

"Yeah, we are both players in The Game," said MJ as she answered Writ's question and began to try and direct his curious attention to answer the question about the Godlings talisman.
MJ then pulled out the silver chain from around her neck and showed him the talisman that hung from it. The talisman was a sakura blossom with a cross in the center of the flower. "This is my talisman, shows others that I know of The Game and have met Mrs. Floros," said MJ as the chain swung back and forth a bit in her hand.

Fish looked sidelongly at Maria, still feeling she was a bit of a 'n00b', and tugged a ring on a silver chain out of his wetsuit. A brilliant silver fish adorned it. "This is mine," he intoned, nodding. "I'd wear it on my hand, but my fingers don't let me."
He tucked it away again for safe keeping.
"Okay, we showed you ours, now show us yours."

"Oh, okay!" Writ pulled out his arrowhead, "Tada, there's mine." He gave the two a good look, pulling himself across the table, before putting it back. Writ resisted the urge to play with it.
Writ stretched his arms and grunted. Sitting still was not one of his strong points. The Godling stood up and said, "Now what?"

"I don't care. I go with the flow," replied MJ as Writ stood up and asked.
"That's was a pretty intreseting talisman, does that mean he is the Godling of an Indian god or something," thought MJ to herself as she waited to hear what was going to happen now that all the introductions were out of the way.

Fish looked at the clock on the wall. "Oh man!" he exclaimed. "I gotta leave now if I'm gonna get back to Harbor before dark!" He pulled the red kerchief off his arm and dropped it on the table. "Someone return that for me? It was cool meeting you, Writ. I'm sure I'll see you again."
He wasn't sure if it would be a good meeting or a bad one, though. And with that thought, he ran out of the shop.

"Uh, sure, seeya!" Writ said, waving at Fish.
He looked at the red flag. Huh, he didn't even notice it on him. This Fish kid was full of surprises, both Writ and Coyote liked him already. A few days into the game and he was already running into all the players.
"I like him." Writ said to Maria, sitting back down again.

"Yeah I like Fish too, he's nice. So where at around town do you live," asked MJ as she tried to get an idea where everyone else lived.
MJ was always trying to piece together the info people gave her, so often her curiosity got the better of her, or it was the young lady that talked to her wanting to know an answer or two.

"Two blocks away from here, my parents own this cafe." Writ said casually.
"What about you?" It was only fair he can ask.
